    Cumin Lamb with Rice, 05JUL25

Great authentic Szechwan food! Good service! I stopped by this place and ordered the Cumin Lamb with rice and it did not disappoint. The meat was fresh, tender, velvety, and aromatic with cilantro, red pepper, and onion. The spice had a nice savory kick that you would expect from Szechwan food, but not overwhelming. The ambiance was down-to-earth and no-nonsense--ideal for a great place to savor some authentic eats done right! You can't go wrong by eating here. Much recommended! Check it out.

Szechuan kitchen has a lot of great options on their menu so choose wisely! The servers were very patient with us as well as I could not make up my mind on what I wanted.

This is probably the best Chinese restaurant in the Covina area. I have family that lives in the Chino Hills area and we all unanimously agree this is the place for mapo tofu, toothpick lamb, and a ton of other Chinese staples. We came here for Christmas Day lunch and I could not be more impressed. The staff speaks both mandarin and Cantonese. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have authentic Chinese food in the Covina area

SK has become one of my favorite spots to order lunch. The food is made to order and is always oh so fresh. As you wait for your order you can hear the chef work their magic by the sound of sizzling pans and quick movements paired with the aroma of garlic and all sorts of goodness!! This is a commotion you want to be a part of! The lunch specials are reasonable and very tasty allowing you to sample several dishes. The food is delicious and the owners are friendly. #ShopLocal. #ILoveMom&Pops

Food was really tasty. A little spicy for me but spiciness can be reduced if requested. All the dishes we had pictured were delicious. Surprisingly the cucumber dish was probably one of my favorites. Service was great. Portions sizes huge. Good parking and ample seating (atleast when we went). Highly recommend!

Very authentic. They don't use msg (but used chicken essence). Flavor is right on, everyone in my large party loved all the dishes, whether it's there first time or regular repeat customer.

Szechwan Kitchen is a very good Chinese restaurant in the Covina Area. I wish it was closer to where I live and I would definitely visit more often. You can either order to go or dine in. If you order to go from the app, you get 10% off. You can order dine in from the app, but you don't get 10% off. This is one of the places where you come for the food and not for the service. A lot of the utensil and napkins are on a table in the center where people can pick up to-go orders. So if you need something along the lines of utensil, you can grab it there. They don't really check on you to see if you need anything . When I came here and wanted water, they sold me a bottle of water. It's not complementary in a cup with ice or anything like that. Literally will sell you a bottle of water. So if you don't mind buying over priced water, go ahead. You can bring your own water as well. I think the best dish I had here was the Kung Pao Chicken. It was really flavorful, tender, and I enjoy it when they cook with the peppers and onions. Not a fan of just chicken and chili. It pairs great with a bowl of rice (that you have to pay extra for). Rice isn't free, but it comes pretty tall, like one bowl of rice is stacked up high so it's like two giant scoops of rice in one bowl. The restroom here is pretty dirty. Like dark and dimly lit and dirty. Parking for this place isn't too bad, there are a few spots in the front of the restroom and there is a shared parking lot. Overall, good food, no service.

this food tastes a little delicious. What's not good is that it's a little dry. But I still recommend that you can taste it.

The brisket is so tender and very ample, but it's not fatty, it's very lean. The pickled veggies add that nice crunch and balances out the flavors of the meat and light mayo. The cilantro and greens are classic Viet additions and greatly appreciated! Add some pickled jalapenos and that bite is just HEAVENLY! 10/10 (note: the beef consume was just ok haha it was nice to have on the side but I didn't like the dip like I normally do with things like birria tacos) THE FRIES! I love these fries! I asked for light seasoning and it was PERFECT. The crisp was perfection (lightly battered) and the inside was still nice and soft. I love me a good side of fries, this was a pleasant surprise! Now the Santa Ana pho was good, but I don't think I'd order it again. The flavors weren't unique enough for me to justify the hefty price tag. They were generous with the meat, but for nearly $30 after tax/tip, that's a bit too much for me. If you're a light eater, this could feed 2 people!! I would order a different pho next time though as the broth was pretty clean (didn't taste too salty) and they do offer extra noodles for free! Overall, I definitely plan to come back! Come check out this place and MAKE SURE to get the brisket sandwich!! Parking was great and it's inside the Glendora Public Market so there are plenty of options for your fam and friends. Seating was ample, space was modern, it was a great Sunday hang. Note: as with most food halls, it's self service for most things. Bus your own tray and I recommend bringing your own water or grab a drink at one of these places!

I ordered the Tai Lan, which is a fun cross between phở and a noodle salad. Sliced tender ribeye sits over garlic oil phở noodles on a bed of greens and fresh herbs, tossed with a shallot tamarind sauce, topped with crispy garlic, and served with a side of their 24-hour bone broth to sip or pour over. The ribeye was genuinely tender, the tamarind sauce had a nice tangy-sweet kick, and the crispy garlic tied it all together. Added some sriracha for a little more flavor and to give it a kick. Best phở I've ever had? No. But it's a clever modern take and I left very full and very happy, which is exactly what I needed. And if phở isn't your thing, the menu sprawls into wagyu phở, garlic noodles with filet, lomo saltado, sandwiches (which look amazing) and even Vietnamese coffee with sea salt foam. Plenty to explore. This is now the first spot I'd send anyone to in the Glendora Public Market, and a real step up from the ramen place that used to be in the same space. Already plotting my return.

Eduardo the owner is ALWAYS very attentive and full of joy to serve us. He checks on us to make sure everything is ok with our orders. Kiren the other owner has been awesome too, since our first visit. She was concerned my daughter wasn't eating. Also, always checking in on us. She remembered us the second time we came and asked if my daughter if she was doing better because the first time we were there she had morning sickness so she couldn't enjoy her food. I love finding hidden GEMS, especially Mexican restaurants, with real Mexican food!! What can I say ?! We love it ! Five times here. No regrets. Always good. Food is delicious! Service is AWESOME! Always so friendly, warm, & helpful since the first time we found them. . :D Can't believe it took me so long to find this hidden gem living nearby and around here all the time. How did I find it ?? Well, how do I, and we all, find all my / our favorite restaurants? I Yelped of course !!! :D I was in the area looking for a good place to eat. I yelped Mexican food and TA DA ! I would have never found it, since it's sort of hidden in an area less traveled, in the shopping center across from the West Covina Mall, behind sushiholics & The Bundt place. Same center where Panera is & Sushiholics, except it's on the back side street, on California Ave. I would have never walked over there, on the backside of the shopping center. Just happy to have found it now! Besides GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD ! We are suckers for birria. So 1st time here we had birria chilaquiles with over medium eggs plate, quesabirria, and ramen birria hehe ! YUMMM Yes, it was good, a little spicy for me, but good. I always have to clarify how I want my eggs at restaurants because believe it or not some cooks don't understand that over medium means soft yolks. They sometimes bring me over hard and that's not what I ordered. Over medium eggs have to be just right! No runny whites and no hard yolk. I explained that to Eduardo when ordering because I didn't want hard or soft; runny & gooey whites ewww. So I'm always very specific. Eduardo said no problem, if we don't get them right we can remake them for you. :D Woohooo ! They were perfect! Not many places get it right the first time, so they always remake them, but not here ! PERFECTION !! Thank you Eduardo!! I was happy ! Can't forget about the coffee!!! Oooh coffee! We love coffee so when the owner told us iced coffee ! Whoa ! Our eyes lit up ! YESSSSS please! It was good as well and when she saw we had finished it, she offered us a free refill. Thank you my new friend! You're the best !!! You made our day !!! We were like we're coming back !!! 2nd time, I had bulgogi breakfast bowl with over medium eggs ! I love eggs with beef ! Who doesn't ?! lol Eggs were perfect ! Beef was perfect too ! My grandson ate all my bulgogi though lol! I guess he liked it too. 3rd time on Friday 7/25/25 Eduardo always very cheerful & welcoming :) I ordered the chicken salad lunch, daughter ordered the green pozole! She's a sucker for green pozole hehe. I loved my salad! It was perfect! The chicken was perfect, pulled pieces with a green dressing that was whoa soooo YUMMMM ! This is making me hungry now. Daughter said pozole was good too Of course we will be back !! Need to try to yellow curry ! Next couple times had to order some previously had dishes like Birria ramen, tacos, pozole and chicken salad. Eduardo also accommodated my grandson, as he loves chicken but we get him grilled chicken. So he made a kids version of the chicken salad and it was just perfect and delicious too. PS good spot for kids too. They have a Foosball table ! So when they get antsy, they can go play! Kids love it and play every time. Great thinking! Thank you for this addition to your restaurant ! It's a plus for us with little ones because it helps with their impatience. This is GOLD !! Thank you Eduardo and Kiren ! We will be back next time we're looking for yummy Mexican food or are nearby. Have you tried ? Let me know if you stop by. I'd love to know what was your favorite dish. Happy eating & happy Yelping ! SYOY or IG ;) PS Support small family owned pro American businesses. I finally went, and I'm honestly a little disappointed. The first red flag was realizing we weren't even offered that special. We ordered straight off the regular menu without anyone mentioning it, which made me question why it's promoted so heavily outside. Our waitress was very kind, but the drinks were almost undrinkable. I'm really trying not to be harsh, but I don't know what happened with them because they tasted off in a way that made me feel like it wasn't worth the money. I ordered enchiladas and flautas and they were just okay, nothing bad but nothing memorable. What really got to me was how cold everything felt, especially the beans. Cold beans in a dine-in restaurant just don't make sense. Nothing on the plate was hot enough to feel freshly made. While we were eating I also noticed the restaurant had this strong dirty mop smell, almost like a towel that's been sitting too long. It was hard to ignore and it affected the whole experience. From my seat I could even see some seasonings and part of the kitchen through a curtain and it made me uncomfortable because it didn't feel very controlled or clean. I went to check the restroom and that honestly confirmed it. It wasn't clean at all, which confused me because the place wasn't busy. If it's slow, cleanliness should be the easiest thing to keep up with. I tried to distract myself by playing foosball, which I thought was a cute touch, but the table was broken too. It's little things like that that add up and make the visit feel careless, especially for a business you want to support. I will say the owner or chef came out to check on guests, which was very courteous and genuinely appreciated. That effort is the main reason I'm giving three stars instead of less. I really wanted to like this place, but based on what I experienced I don't think I'll be back.
