Mind you, these are simple appetizers that should not take anywhere near that long to prepare. When we asked for the third time, we finally asked that the appetizers be cancelled since we had already finished our meal. At that point, the gentleman working the front area , tall, with red hair, loudly yelled from across the restaurant, in an extremely rude and confrontational tone, "It's already on the grill!" There was absolutely no reason to speak to paying customers that way. His response was unprofessional, unnecessary, and honestly created a very hostile and uncomfortable feeling during what should have been an enjoyable dinner, especially while our group was on vacation and simply trying to enjoy a meal together. When the appetizers eventually came out, we left them sitting there because we were already done eating and ended up taking them to go. He eventually told us they would be removed from the bill, which we appreciated, but that did not excuse the way the situation was handled. Again, the food was good, but good food does not make up for poor service and especially not for an employee speaking to customers in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. Management should seriously address how customers are treated, because the interaction with this particular employee overshadowed what could have otherwise been a good dining experience for our party of 12.

So, I think for what you will get, there's taste and value to be had. We decided for our first time to keep it simple with the proteins -- chicken and shrimp, then if we like it, we can upgrade to the more pricey steak options next time. We opted for take out and were quoted about 15 minutes to wait, and that is about what it ended up being. Pretty good timing, given it was busy in there. We didn't order any drinks, I saw plenty of soda cans and bottled drink options. After all of this, they sat couple with us. Finally the chef came to the table. By this time it was 20 til 6:00. Hubby got the filet with fried rice. I got the shrimp with fried rice. The food was good. However, hubby's steak was over cooked. Thankfully, hubby told the chef he wanted to change the steak from medium to medium rare, or it would have been even more over cooked. I also watch all of the employees but one prepping the food without gloves. This used to be our go to place for, but now with all this issues this time, we will probably have to find a new place.

So half of my onions were just stuck to the bottom and I couldn't get them off. The side dishes, though these are some of my favorite side dishes I've had at a Korean spot in Arizona. Super sucks because I would only wanna come back for the kimchi side dishes, but didn't really enjoy the food to an extreme amount to justify driving 30 minutes back and price , some items are a bit pricey, but most of the items are priced at the same as other places I've been but you get way less I really did like their kimchi, though it really was some of the best but man so far and nothing I'd want from that menu entree wise so I think it's worth checking out but I can't justify coming back

I have been talking to my sister about this place as i live nearby and I guess I had high expectations since that building had been vacated for such a long time it was nice to see some life there. As I entered the building there was line outside the door which is expected as it was the grand opening week but was not greeted with a smile. After 15 minutes we were seated, our server took our drinks FYI we asked for juice for kids and they served bottled gatrorade at room temperature. This was a first for me and was not expecting this. They had a lot of variety and the food lacked somewhat flavor in some of the dishes but then again everyone has different tastes. I had to take my kids to the restroom and was grossed by how dirty it was and no one was maintaining the restrooms. Servers were stressed, overwhelmed, understaffed and probably not expecting it to so busy. Lighting was another big issue for me especially around the buffet area felt too industrial too florescent for a restaurant that size. Restaurant does not feel inviting and warm. I know how expensive it is to start up a restaurant and I am hopeful they will work out the kinks before I come by and visit them again once all the madness and "grand opening" fever dies down a bit. read more

I am Chinese guy. Every time I come to Mesa I make sure to stop Hibachi Restaurant. The food is Hao Chi! That means very good. All the people who work there are very nice. I want to let everyone know I recommend Hibachi. I especially like the Sushi and the Crab legs. There is a lot of good food to select from. If you are hungry and want really good food come here. They were all very accommodating and even recommended a dish to us to complement the other dishes we ordered. The sort of bummer is that there is no free dessert soup or fruit at the end of the meal, not even a choice to pay for dessert. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and most likely a popular place at lunch time. I ordered dinner take out and it was not busy just before the typical dinner hour. We ordered the pan fried noodles with pork, shrimp with walnuts, mapo tofu and string beans with pork. It was delicious! The food was ready for pick up 10 minutes before it was scheduled to be ready and the cashier was very friendly. Definitely a spot, I will try again.
