Teriyaki sauce residue & left over vegetables with some brown rice.
    Yuko S.

I just got chicken bento box with white rice for the first time & it's the worst food you can imagine... My California roll was soaked in teriyaki sauce. Why?? My vegetables are clearly made with somebody else's leftover.(shown in the picture) There's some brown rice which I didn't order & a broccoli had some red sauce which I didn't put. When I came across with this, I lost my appetite.

Sent me old salmon and refused to give me my money back. The manager told me to deal with it. Well now you can't do this to anyone else. I never touched the food. The manager didn't care and atleast your future customers can know who they are dealing with.

Hibachi steak Doesn't really look like the pictures (looks pretty sad)... also asked for fried rice but was given white rice instead. Maybe this was a one time mistake? Taste was mediocre overall.

    Food showing the actual proportions.

The food was alright, but the serving size they gave was ridiculous. Its just a bunch of rice as filler.

    Bento Box (chicken)

Okay I have a confession. I'm addicted to the Bento Boxes. Anytime I'm craving sushi, I order the Bento Box. I mean, why not? The Bento Box comes with vegetables, your choice of rice, protein, and California Spring Rolls. The portions are more than enough and definitely filling. Worth the price and fast delivery.

This place is a must go to for the fast food world of Hibachi. They are super nice and the dishes are just Delicious. I have had all the chicken dishes and my favorite is the honey spicy chicken. I would say no for the break and shrimp but definitely the chicken dishes. Then grab one of those Japanese sodas and you'll be set. Happy Hibachi hunting

    Hibachi Steak combo

Very cheap and delicious! Came here for lunch during my break from rotations and I am so glad I found this place! The place is really clean and the service is really nice and fast! I ordered the Hibachi Steak combo and it came with steak cubes, fried rice and vegetables. The steak was amazing! I ordered it medium rare and it was cooked exactly the way I like it. It was not too rough/dry at all and I love how some of the cubes were slightly chewy. The fried rice was pretty good for the most part but I was not a fan of the vegetables. They're your typical vegetables that you get at places like these: bland and flavorless because there is no sauce to go along with it. I also got a mayo sauce that I think only comes with the hibachi steak order since my friends ordered something else and they did not get the sauce. The mayo sauce was really good and complimented the steak/rice really well! If you're in the area, try this place out! It is not too expensive and they give huge portions!

Foil mixed in with cabbage in the Hibachi combo

Ordered Hibachi Steak and Hibachi Chicken Teriyaki and Steak combo through Uber Eats. Food was extremely oily. Steak was over cooked and on top of all that found a piece of foil mixed in with the cabbage in my combo. Never ordering from them again.

First impression is quite okay. We were in the neighborhood to shop at Century 21 and TJMaxx so once we were ready to leave, we realized that it would be good to have a portion of sushi before dinner so I checked the reviews on Yelp and we walked in seeing 4 stars rating. Some people does not like the smell of sushi places including my brother but since this is a more grilled type of food place, it did not have the smell at all. It is a plus. We ordered a portion California and Tempura shrimp, each 8 pieces. Took about 10 minutes to be ready. Usually it is quicker at other sushi spots but it is okay. The tempura part of the shrimp was not the best I tried. I guess the oil was over used. Avacados were a bit undergrown. They have a screen facing to the street showing their grill and how they cook so this is good for hygiene matters you may have in mind. They do not take Amex, have plenty seats inside to dine.

Top: Steak bento box ($10.50) Bottom: Chickens Teriyaki bento box ($8.50) Apple Snapple ($2.50) 12 piece cooked delight sushi ($12.99)

Ordered today, the sushi is good but personally it needs more sauce drizzled on top of it. Seemed dry but tasted really good nonetheless.

The menu is pretty diverse with various appetizers, sushi, and also ramen/curry so your standard izakaya fare. One of my favorite dishes here has been the chirashi. The fish was very fresh and it's pretty affordable. I've only ever been here in groups of two and I probably would recommend it for smaller groups because the space itself is small and most of the tables are two-seaters if I recall correctly.

It's been open for a few years, so clearly it has a good enough formula to keep the neighborhood happy. I have been here once before, but returned last week after dining several meals at Tomoni in Jackson Heights. Apparently, the owners are friends. Nonetheless, I needed to make the comparison. After my first few bites of their Tora Don and Chirashi Don, it was clear that this restaurant has the better quality seafood. Each slice of sashimi had vibrant colors, clean taste, and the proper texture. Tomoni is not bad, but fall slightly short of this caliber. With that said, there is an even farther gap between their rice quality. Though Tora is very good, Tomoni produces nearly perfect texture and acidity for my taste buds. Other than the best omakase restaurants in NYC, Tomoni shines as one of the best versions of sushi rice in the five boroughs. Service is good and space is cute. If I have a craving for some decent Japanese food, I would drive 20 minutes here for a meal anytime.

While wandering through Bed-Stuy on a weekday evening, my husband and I decided to try out this new…read moresushi spot. It wasn't terrible--but I had a lot of mixed feelings. Food: 3/5 I'm a huge sushi fan, so I was excited when I saw a deluxe sashimi set on the menu. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The scallop was thinly sliced and lacked the rich texture I was hoping for. The salmon and other cuts were decent, but short and oddly shaped--chunky yet small, which made the whole presentation feel a bit off for something labeled deluxe. We also tried to branch out and ordered the short rib entree. For $21, it was shockingly small--definitely a single-person portion, not sharable. I added extra ikura to a salmon donburi bowl for $2, but it was barely a teaspoon's worth--just enough to say it was there. Oddly, the salmon slices in that bowl were thinner than the sashimi we had just eaten, and overall, it left me still hungry even after sharing a maki roll. Lastly, my husband ordered a green salad, which somehow took the entire meal service to arrive. When it finally came, it was just plain romaine, cucumbers, radish, and dressing. For a dinner that clocked in at over $150 (after tip), we definitely left underwhelmed. Service: 3/5 This part wasn't bad, just confusing. We were seated quickly, but the pacing of the meal was strange. Our seaweed salad and soups came out promptly, but the green salad came last, after the hot dishes and nearly after my husband finished eating. Also, a small thing--but when I'm paying $16 for four oysters, I want to know what kind they are. The menu just said "West Coast oysters," but our server couldn't tell us the variety or origin. Not a huge deal, but it added to a general lack of polish that didn't quite match the pricing. I don't think I'd return. For the price, there are better sushi options in Brooklyn with higher quality, better portions, and clearer service. Still, I appreciate new spots opening up in the neighborhood, and I'm always happy to try something new. Hopefully they refine the menu and service with time.

We started with the salmon belly carpaccio which I'd say isn't really a carpaccio because the salmon isn't sliced as thinly as you'd expect. But! I mention that just to set expectations. Nomenclature aside, it's an excellent appetizer. Served in a truffle and ponzu sauce, the salmon is lightly seared which yields two different textures to the fish. It practically melts in your mouth. Highly recommend this dish. For my entree I went with the trio don, which is 6 pieces of sashimi served over your choice of plain or sushi rice (sushi rice for me). The fish was fresh and flavorful. The portion was perfect for me. My boyfriend ordered a yellowtail roll and enjoyed that as well. We also shared a carafe of the cold house sake. I'd definitely come back and try more items on the menu. It's great for sharing and trying new dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable.
