Food was dry...waiting to long for refill on food trays.not worth the trip.service was bad all around

I tried to order a drink but they do not serve alcohol. Beer, wine, and soda is all you can choose from. That was strike one. We had to ask for menus and the waitress did not understand. That is okay, but it was discerning. Strike two was the food. Just like every other restaurants in this area, the food was terrible. The rice was dry stickiness. The noodles were cold. If I could give less stars I would. Worst customer service I've been given. They waited until the dinner pricing started to finally give me my bill and when I fought it they refused to fix it. Everyone expects this place to be AWESOME. It's a cheap buffet. It is what it is. I like it because they have fresh sushi and fresh green beans. The best green beans I have had. I swear they are that good. They also include a raw bar they cook it right there for you. It's yummy. Everything else is so so. They have normal Chinese food and then seafood stuff. Buffet restaurants have the stigma of being fast, cheap food for the masses that aren't finicky, low standards, don't have/want to spend a lot of money, and want to experience a lot of different foods at once. Well Hibachi Sushi Buffet meets and exceeds in meeting this criteria. The place is fine, the staff is adequate, but the food quality can leave something to be desired. It's obviously not fresh and depending on what you try, can have a gummy quality. The sushi is very average, mostly below but there are times when I need a "fix" so this place will suffice. Mind you, I've only been here three times and each time I felt "dirty", out of place as I was the youngest and healthiest looking guy there, everyone one else was on their deathbed and/or severally over weight. read more

Have always been a huge fan till tonight. Hubby and i went for dinner. Food was cold,hard, odd taststing. Swhite instant potatoes that are sweet tasting?? Lumpy cold gravy, no noodles for chow mein. Waitressrude. Couldnt get drinks right. The only good thing was the fruit. It was fresh! Lost a lot of business. Between myself and friends. I called man i spoke to did not even apologize. Very sad. There's a good selection of food with everything most Chinese buffets have. However, the food is meh at best. The sushi is terrible, the wonton soup had almost raw dumplings, and the wait staff are about as rude as they can be. I was almost rammed twice by the irate food cart pushing lady who gave me the stink eye when I told her there were no soup bowls available. She pointed angrily at the ice cream bowls and took off. Also, drink slowly because if you happen to finish your drink, they aren't very happy to refill it. Where we were sat it was so dark that I couldn't really see what I was eating, but maybe that was a good thing. It also took smoke signals and an emergency flare to get them to bring us the bill after we were finished. On the plus side, this place is cheap, so just go in with low expectations and you'll only be slightly disappointed. read more

My first time going was last night. It is very open which I like but is lacking the cleanliness that I feel comfortable with. I don't usually go to buffets only because I think about all of the open food and people breathing, coughing and sneezing over it but I gave it a chance to be fair. The food was okay, but the thing I liked most was that they offered a variety of different cultured foods. For example, they served pizza, ice cream and other things. The wait staff was friendly, but kinda seemed like constant robots. And it is a little pricey. Too pricey for what you pay for. read more

My daughter and I went here for dinner last night, after not having gone in over a year due to lackluster service the last time we went. Last night was nothing new... The food is your standard chinese style buffet and is ok, but nothing to rave about. The hibachi is, well, a small selection of foods that are cooked on a grill top, but again, nothing great to talk about. The sushi is a VERY SMALL amount (only had 5 plates out that at any given time only had about one small roll - about 6 quarter-sized pieces- on it) and the sushi was meh, at best. I would have given it 3 stars for the food, but the service brings it diwn to one star for me. The waitress only came by once during our entire meal for drink refills and I watched her fill new cups and take our used straws out of the used cups with her bare fingers and put those same straws into the newly filled cups. Needless to say, I asked for new straws. That wasn't the worst part though. The man who was making the sushi was incredibly rude! I asked for a small bit of the sushi rice for my daughter. She loves the taste of sushi rice. He very bluntly said "NO" and refused to give her just a couple of tablespoons of the sushi rice. Btw, my daughter is only 6 and we only asked for a small taste. He was very nasty in how he told us he does not give out rice, which is absurd because everywhere else we go that has sushi, they have never had a problem with giving her some of the rice. I asked to speak to the manager and instead a kid (maybe 17 or 18) came to our table. He explained the managers were not there (no manager on during dinner hours???) and I could talk with him. I explained what happened and he said he would speak with the sushi chef. He came back a few minutes later, claiming I asked for extra salmon sushi (the had none to begin with, but I only asked for rice) and he sided with the sushi chef, saying they don't give out extra salmon sushi. I explained that I DID NOT ask for anything except a small bit of rice, but that didn't matter. I made it clear we would never be back due to their extremely poor service. read more

Awful customer service and bad food! Our waitress was very stand offish and never came back to our table to take our plates or refill our drinks (we were there for about an hour). I never really had a problem with this place until today when we came in and before us was a group of physically impaired people. Everyone got sat down we were all eating and then one of the people in the group that was sat before us came to say hi and the person that was taking care of them said to leave us alone we said we didn't have a problem with him saying hi. To make a long story short they asked the group with the physically impaired people to leave they kicked them out saying they were disturbing everyone (which they weren't). How can people be so insensitive to this knowing that anyone of us can have a family member or even something happen to us and we end up in that situation. So physically impaired people shouldn't go out and be amongst all of us. Because of this I will NEVER return here this was very distasteful and I believe quite insensitive of the staff. read more

By far the best buffet ive ever been to, its always packed to the gills and its always affordably priced. Great beef terriyaki, and the hot and sour soup is fantastic, good additon of dumplings and it was a good consistency. The dumplings come in both veggie and pork, Nearly 100 different items to choose from fresh sushi to hibachi meat to melon to ice cream to pizza to french fries....to liver I think. Food is usually good if you go early enough but I would not recommend going to late because they stop bringing out the fresh foods because they will be closing. Overall though I think it is better then the Raynham mandarin down the street which I used to go to all the time. read more

I walked in and the place was extremely poorly lit. The dicor did not match and there were torn benches. The Labels were poorly placed and most were either incorrect or missing. Most of the food was lukewarm. The dumplings were horrid!!! The dough was so thick, I believe this was done so they would not have to use so much filling. The most surprising part was that the sushi seemed to use Krab (fake crab with filler in it). For the area I would have thought that they would use real crab meat for the sushi. The selection here is HUGE. I can't say anything bad about that. But the quality of the food just could save the number of stars here. It was surprisingly greasy and the flavors were just slightly off. All the fish products tasted like they might have been sitting out at room temperature for a full day. I want to like and rave about this place, but I can't. I've been a few times and it seems hit or miss. The guy behind the hibachi counter seems miserable every single time. It's as if he hates life. All. The. Time. I wanted to give him a tip this last time, but he was just simply not earning it. Way too miserable and didn't listen,and even messed up orders. There was a guy in front of me who came back over because he didn't get sauce. He came back over and nicely told him that he'd forgotten to add some and simply asked for some. He slapped some on there. Then when it came to my food he put on way too much sauce (way over correcting.) When I had handed him my plate earlier I asked for garlic, but he ignored me. He ended up slapping a bunch on at the end. It definitely was raw when I was eating the dish. Also, the bell peppers were not fresh. They had that moldy, dirt taste. I had to spit in my napkin. Twice! (I did give it another chance). Also, having many friends in the did service industry, I know some things, and I don't trust this place. It is cheap, and if you catch them on a good, busy day it's worth the $10 if you are hungry and need a place to grab a grub. Ah...er.... "some grub". read more

I've gone to this restaurant several times. The staff is friendly. Wide selection of food. I enjoyed watching my food cooked on the Hibichi Grill which is at the back of the restaurant. There is a good selection of food that can be cooked on the grill. Vegetables, meats etc... You get your monies worth it's a value. read more

Think about it logic if go to a sushi restaurant some the rolls go for 15 dollar a roll and you go to the buffet it's all u can eat for 15 so there is some quality issue with fish and ingredients read more

It's never fresh and it's over priced this is the shittiest restaurant in raynham hands down! Then when I alerted the manager of the stale food he left it out and didn't even remake it so that someone else can get sick completely inconsiderate I called the board of health to go check this place out because clearly their food preparation isn't following any sort of protocol they need to be shut down I'm in the hospital with food poisoning because of these jerks! read more

I'm not sure why this place has all the sub-par reviews it has. I've been to this place 4 or 5 times now in the past year for the lunch buffet with my girlfriend & we continue to go back. Personally I really like the Hibachi/Mongolian buffet section because you get to pick out exactly what you want & they cook it right there for you. The rest of the place is the regular steamer tables you normally see at buffet places. The food on them is by no means gourmet but for the price it can't be beat! While I don't eat Sushi my girlfriend does & once again while it's not the best it's good enough for the price. Personally we recommend this place & will continue to for the foreseeable future. read more

This is our go to place for a cheap dinner out with the family. They have something for everyone, including picky kids. The food is always fresh. I constantly see the staff bringing fresh dishes out. I'm not into sushi, so I can't help you there. My husband LOVES the hibachi grill. They have a dessert table with cakes, puddings and fruit. There is ice cream, but it's self serve and I don't really like the idea of scooping out ice cream that someone just dragged their knuckles through. Our family of 3 can have a nice dinner out for under $30 and on Monday for $20. read more

Since their opening, Mondays has been 5 dollar all you can eat afternoon. Soda and tea are extra will usually bring the bill up to 7 dollars. Water still free. The selection is grade A. I have been eating there for the past 6 weeks and the fresh pick your own hibatchi grill doesn't get any fresher. Cooked right there while you wait. The sushi bar is always stocked and I have seen it get hit hard by patrons. The selection is limited to under a dozen different types. Then you have the buffet of choices to choose from. Everyone in your dining party should be able to find something good to eat and enjoy. And don't forget the desserts! read more

I went for the first time recently. It was very crowded and we had a 20-minute wait. Service was below part -- tea was served, but no tea cups. When I was up at the buffet getting additional food, my fork was taken with the dirty plate. And getting the server's attention for a bill was tough. This is awesome it tastes so good that I go here all the time with my 9 children family. I always see this little Chinese boy that greets me all the time, he is so nice. And the little girl that looks like his sister is always happy and looks so happy. Overall best restaurant I've ever been to. Please go to it I recommend it. read more
