    Hibachi chicken

Hibachiman is the perfect lunch time antidote to save you from the monotony of warmed over pizza, Mexican combination lunches, or some variation of Epicurean sandwich. The owners aren't actually Japanese so don't get in a tizzy, but they are Koreans who seem to know what they're doing. Their portion sizes are quite generous and their prices pretty reasonable. The interior can only be affectionately described as.. scant functional so if you're looking for ambience, might I suggest take out and dining in at your own abode.

Located in the same plaza as a grocery store, it's a small storefront with a couple of tables set up for those who want to dine in. There was no line so I was helped promptly and quickly. Called in an order for chicken hibachi for lunch and it was ready by the time I arrived. I was pleased that the order came with yum yum sauce & there was self-serve soy & teriyaki sauce I was able to throw on before I left. The portion was pretty good for lunch and I was able to split this into 2 meals (which was great for the price, less than $15). However, I took off a few stars for quality. How is it hibachi and the rice is barely fried? That disappointed me quite a bit -- the chicken could've been kicked a bit more. We eat with our eyes first.

Large scale satisfaction...I ordered at 11:00 AM, right when the store opened, and it was amazing. Hot of the griddle, sweet, savory, sour and loaded with shrimp & chicken! I don't want to go more than 60 days/2 months without. See you there.

Food: always fresh, large portions and cooked and season well. Location: the dining area is basic and pretty small- but it seems to thrive as a take-out spot. Parking: plenty of parking as it is located in a Publix shopping complex Service: the staff are always very polite and it's never taken me more than 10 minutes to get my order. I often order ahead and it's always ready when I arrive. Great spot.

Disappointed... Had lunch there today. Had the veggies & rice for $6. VERY BLAND. Mostly onions & mushy carrots which seemed like they were canned!?! The sauce that came with it tasted like mayo ranch. The ginger sauce was $1 extra. Won't be going back.

Glad to have a new place to grab lunch in Midway! Not a burger or the usual fair. It's not a$25 hibachi place, it'slunch ready in 5 minutes for under $10 with a drink. Simple, quick menu, fresh and hot off the griddle. Very nice and polite employees, working wide open every time I've been in here. Give it a try!!! You'll leave full, don't see how anyone could eat the large size, regular one left me stuffed and in need of a nap!

Good quick and affordable Japanese hibachi take away. Satisfies my cravings. There is no show or pretense. But the food is great!

The chicken was amazing. Steak was great. Just like a Hibachi steakhouse but 1/3 the price and around the corner. Will eat here again.

So good. I'd rather come here than go to any sit down hibachi place nearby. Quick, reasonably priced, freaking delicious.

Better Hibachi food than the major chains. Can't beat the Steak and Shrimp combo. Great for a quick lunch or dinner.

We had a reservation and I called to tell them we were running behind and gave an ETA as we were around the corner. I was told they closed at 9:00 ( website said 11 pm). I asked do I need to cancel? I was told NO. We arrived and were seated. The waiter rushed to get order. I order vegetables fried rice without their seasonable vegetables ( one would think you would still get the soup and salad). That was not the case when I realized this I tried to add the veggies and I was told NO. The chef came out did his defeated like production. I received my plain fried rice , my daughter received her filet steak my friend filet and chicken. My daughter asked for more yum yum sauce and the manager slammed it so hard in front of me it went every where that even the chef gave the what I can only assume was the manager a are you serious look. The sauce was everywhere. As soon as the chef moved his cart they sent in the clean up crew before we could even take the first bite of our food. I asked for napkins to clean up the sauce rather than using their nicely rolled for the next day silverware and again it was slammed. The food was average. The ambiance was hostile. The service was fast and the server did not know that two things we asked about were never offered they are just on the menu I guess to take up space. If they do not want to serve people past 8 pm then they should not take reservations past 7:30. Gone was the memory of fun, that volcano onion and just any type of service than what we received. Especially for the amount of money you pay and as soon as it's cooked a crew is trying to sweep under you. Oddly enough they stand around and wait to pounce the moment the chef is done or they think you have dropped your fork. I think you would have a better time and money well spent at another Hibachi restaurant. Otherwise roll the dice and best of luck to you.

Our server, Vanessa, was a great light with her attentiveness, suggestions, and service. She did not skip a beat with her casual and on-time check-ins. Richard(son) (that…read morelittle tiny may) cooks because it's his calling--and because, as he jokes, "if I didn't cook, I'd probably burn something down anyway." That blend of passion, necessity, and pure showmanship is exactly what makes Kani House in Johns Creek rise above every competitor in a 20‑mile radius. We walked in expecting dinner. We walked out feeling like we'd just attended a culinary comedy show with front‑row seats. Sharing a table with a lovely family only amplified the fun, because when Richard(son) is running the grill, strangers become teammates in laughter. What a wonderful evening. Well done, Richard - well done!!!

My family and I have been to this Kani house many times for special occasions (Birthdays, work…read morepromotions, meeting my sons girlfriend), and the food has always been good. However, things have drastically changed since our last visit. All of the meals have gone up exorbitantly. I get that the market for things has increased, but I have been there with a group of 7-8 people, and spent just over $200. This with Tip was almost $350. I also understand why places do mandatory tip on the size of party, but being forced to tip 20% on shitty service, well, that is just wrong. Our group of five people were sat with another group of 5 people at one of four Hibachi tables. We were the first seated at 6:30, and our server was Jadora. She took our drink order, food order, and soup/salad order, while the other 3 tables in the room were being seated. All 3 other tables were seated, and received their drinks, their soup/salad orders, and one table even started cooking their hibachi before our soup/salad arrived. I brought this up to the manager, and who our server was, and he said "He would take care of us." My wife & mother-in-law ordered Mojito's, and I don't know what they received, but they weren't Mojito's. My wife had them remade, and they still were not correct. Then when the cook was making our meals, 3 of us had Filet Mignon. Yet he only brought enough meat for 2, and had to be told that the 3rd person also had Filet. During this, Jadora came by and asked if anyone needed drink refills. Despite trying to get her attention twice, she never once looked at me and walked away. Upon getting the check, the manager came by and said "I took care of you." Apparently taking care of us was taking off less than 10%, and still charging us the 20% for the substandard service. Being forced to give a 20% tip for this kind of crappy service is not right, and to say "You're going to take care of us" and barely give us 1/2 off 1 persons meal is not good customer service. We will definitely be thinking twice before returning here for Hibachi again.
