What a terrible experience the last time we ate here! We have been coming here over and over and honestly this WAS our favorite place to eat for our family. The food was always good, the service was sometime questionable due to how busy they were but the show was always good. This time was like the wheels have fallen off the ride! These was zero show... it is hibachi... you have to have the clang clang clang, the flipping of the utensils, the silky corny jokes, the food tossing, the fire, the volcano and the happy chef! It is all part of the experience! There was fire... and way over cooked rice, there was a volcano but no smiles, no jokes, there was literally zero happiness! No clanging, no flipping and spinning, no food tossing, not life! I thought maybe it was just our chef but as I watched the other groups it was the same for them. The chefs were just going through some of the motions and had no heart in the show. What they did you couldn't even call a show anymore. It was pathetic! Top top it all off the food it's self was a shadow of what it used to be. The flavors were off, we got our sushi when I was just about done with my meal and things were just completely off. The vibe of this place was just off... seriously off. Service was bad... missing most of the time... and no one seemed like they wanted to be there at all. So very disappointing!

We come here often for Hibachi and take out The line can get long so make a reservation or sit in the area where they make it in the kitchen and bring it out to you We love the hibachi,,sushi and fried ric

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ordered steak/chicken hibachi and veggie hibachi for takeout. Neither was really worth what they are charging for it ($16 for veg, $26 for meat combo) unless you are eating in-house.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It seems like they just kind of threw together what they had in the kitchen - older/lesser cuts of meat (the "New York strip" was sirloin, and the chicken was very, very dry) and assorted veggies that would not normally come in hibachi (green beans???? cabbage??) - and boxed it up to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The rice was good, at least![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Disappointed because we have been here multiple times to dine in and have not had complaints.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will give it another try a different time, but not sure we will do takeout here again.

I came here with a co-worker for lunch and they sat us quickly, got our food out with a smile, and we were able to have a nice meal during our break. For lunch they DO have some great lunch deals that I considered. However, I really wanted to try the Pokémon roll (and it was wonderful!). Next time I will likely try their two roll lunch that comes with soup and salad. My co-worker got the Sakura roll with a cup of miso soup. The miso soup smelled wonderful and she said it was delicious. She also said that her Sakura roll was very good and something she will order again. The staff was nice and attentive without hovering over us. They never made us feel rushed either. I will definitely be back. I only give 4 stars because I am a bit spoiled with my sushi and getting a much larger roll with a ton more salmon, tuna, and crab salad on it for the same price. HOWEVER, for the area and compared to some other local places their pricing is very fair. The roll was a good size overall compared to most places, but I would definitely say a bit more crab salad at least would certainly elevate it. We WILL be back as it is overall great food, a good value, and good service.

That didn't take away from the overall experience though. The elk carpaccio was amazing! Our Caesar salad was good but just a standard Caesar, we could've done without it to make room for all the other yummy things! We ended up getting the steak dinner for two which included A5 Wagyu, filet and spinalis. The wagyu was melt in your mouth! Outside the Wagyu, I preferred the filet and my husband preferred the spinalis. The restaurant is a typical upscale steakhouse vibe. Very classy place with good mood lighting and casual music. The bar area was also really nice. It's located in a shopping center so not somewhere you would think you would find a nice restaurant!

Drew was our waiter and he truly made us feel like we were his only table. He had water and iced tea refills as soon as and even before our glasses were empty. Here's what we got: - Yeast Rolls ($8): Excellent, especially with the butter. Still dreaming of these. - Lump Crab Cake ($29): Pretty good. Note that the salsas had a kick to them. - Blue Fin Tuna Crudo ($28): Nothing to write home about. The chili was spicy. - French Onion Soup ($15): Just as good as we remembered it from last time. - Tasting for Two ($209): The filet and spinalis were delicious. The first time we went to Bask, the wagyu was exceptional. This time, it was the fattier part of the cut and sadly didn't live up to the hype. Disappointed. - Scallops ($50): Absolutely delicious. The arroz verde cremosa was soo good. Decent portion too. - Seafood Mac & Cheese ($20): Came with lobster and shrimp. Suuuuper good, cheesy, and creamy. - Broiled Asparagus ($15): Seriously amazing. The best asparagus I've ever had. We were celebrating an anniversary and they let us choose a dessert on the house. We got the Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding (normally $14). Sadly, it was just meh. We got the Colossal Cosmonaut Cookie last time, which was out of this world. Definitely get the cookie and skip the bread pudding.

We were surprised with a birthday card signed by staff and fresh flowers, which was such a thoughtful touch. It was our first time dining at Oak, and our server, Zuri, was fantastic. He took the time to explain the different cuts of steak and recommend some of the most popular sides, which we really appreciated. We started with the bread service. I loved the touch of salt on top of the roll--it was actually my favorite part. For our appetizer, we ordered the calamari, which came with artichokes, cherry peppers, garlic butter, and sweet chili sauce. As someone who loves artichokes, I especially enjoyed those bites, and the overall flavor was good. That said, the sweet chili became a bit overwhelming toward the end of the dish. One additional detail I loved about the calamari was the cheesecloth wrapped around the lemon. It was such a thoughtful touch, and it's the kind of small detail that really elevates the dining experience. For our entrée, we shared the 12 oz. Filet Mignon cooked medium, along with the mac and cheese and the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower (without the red onion, cilantro, or sweet chili). The chef kindly sliced the steak for us, but it arrived a little too rare for my preference. The staff quickly corrected it, and to make up for it, they also brought us a side of cream corn, which was absolutely delicious. Overall, everything tasted great. For dessert, we were treated to a complimentary panna cotta, which was a lovely surprise. We also ordered the S'mores Baked Alaska--a brownie topped with graham cracker and ice cream, covered in meringue, then set ablaze with bourbon. The presentation was amazing and definitely a highlight of the evening. The flavor was good, although it was a bit difficult to cut into, which made it slightly less enjoyable for me. My boyfriend, however, loved it. The ambiance was wonderful. The booth seating felt intimate and comfortable, and I enjoyed the open-kitchen concept. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. The staff was incredibly kind, the food was delicious, and the thoughtful birthday touches made the evening memorable. I will definitely be back!

We started with martinis and (how can you mess up a martini) the olives had no flavor, and we asked for more vermouth because the martinis tasted watered down, which was strange. We also ordered a bottle of Cabernet sauvignon, which was good. We ordered the mussels appetizer, which was very tasty and served with French fries, also tasty. My husband ordered the steak au poivre, which was full of gristle, so he sent it back. I ordered the Morel pasta dish, which our waitress recommended. This dish was not good at all. The mushrooms were diced tiny with some strange flavor, which I couldn't eat, so I sent this back! My husband then ordered the scallops, which were very good. I ordered the Baratta which came with sourdough bread. The Baratta was good, but there was about a half cup of chopped parsley on the plate, which was very odd. It was like a parsley salad, which is inedible. Parsley should be used as a garnish or a sprinkle as a flavoring, not as a main component like a salad. I didn't say anything to the waitress, because I was tired of complaining. We were very disappointed in this restaurant and will not be returning.

Save room for dessert!…read more The food at Foundation Eatery was exceptional. As a self-described foodie, I'm always searching for restaurants that offer creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes with plenty of variety. Foundation exceeded every expectation. I ordered every dish the staff recommended, and each one was outstanding. Julio provided attentive, knowledgeable service, and you can tell Chef Mel and his wife, Sandy, have poured their hearts into every aspect of the dining experience. Their attention to detail is remarkable--they genuinely care that every bite is exactly as it should be, and it shows. We started with the Crisp Spanish Octopus and the mushroom ravioli. Julio also suggested adding an order of bread to soak up the incredible sauces, and I'm so glad he did--not a drop was left on the plate. For my entrée, I chose the scallops, and they were cooked perfectly. I even skipped most of the accompanying beans to save room for dessert, which turned out to be one of the best decisions of the night. The blueberry olive cake with blueberry sorbet was phenomenal and the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and refreshingly free of distractions, allowing the food and conversation to take center stage. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience with incredible food, outstanding hospitality, and an environment where every detail matters, Foundation Eatery is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back. PS. I can't believe they have a burger on the menu. I'd try that based on everything else!

They have house made focaccia that when brought to the table we instantly regretted having ordered the bruschetta, thinking we overdid the bread thing. But we both quickly changed our minds and consumed both with little guilt... I would go back just for the focaccia alone and wish they sold it by the loaf! Pastas are made onsite but they get the gluten free version from a different supplier to avoid risk of cross contamination. Hubby had the wild boar pasta. I had the pork chop. My chop was perfectly grilled and moist. I asked for the marsala sauce on the side since I don't like mushrooms themselves, but enjoy the flavor they can add. The weakest link was the mashed potatoes, served in two round scoops reminiscent of school cafeteria lines. Other than the shape, there was nothing memorable nor particularly flavorful about them.
