Overall, good food and great price with an applicable coupon. We tried ordering ahead online, but the site was down. We learned that after multiple failed attempts and finally calling. They were gracious enough to honor the online coupons since the site was inoperable. We had to wait for 15mins since we couldn't order ahead, but when we did get the food, it was all hot and fresh. The restaurant had a nice Caribbean vibe with region appropriate music adding to the feel. Everything looked clean and the awesome smells of the food filled the air. All in all, everything was good. Only gripes were the smallish piece of salmon and the extremely mild to my taste buds Rasta pasta. The other plates had tons of food which made for leftovers. The Rasta pasta was easily kicked up a notch with a little jerk seasoning from the house. Rice and peas very good, plantains (only 2 small pieces, should've gotten 3) very good; steamed veg quite plain; 3 quite small pieces of jerk chicken mediocre -- took me a couple of moments to realize what was wrong: the chicken isn't in gravy, so as it's kept warm it dries out. Okay service. I'm a jerk chicken fan, and I've had plenty of it from many different Jamaican restaurants. This one is average. It's bad. No let me tell you the truth!, Its really bad. Yet some people probably love this food. I will PASS... Its one of those places that's like cafeteria style, that you order from the person behind the hot table, so all of the food has been cooked earlier and its sitting their being kept warm. You pick your meat choice(s) and then two or three sides from rice, different vegetable, plantain, etc. You are eating off of plastic plates using plastic ware. They also have a display menu that you can order from but the selection does not look so interesting to order from and the cook is sitting by the customer tables. I just feel there is no quality to the food, the price is not cheap for what you order and this type of place is not my cup of tea. I ordered my hubby some curry goat to have delivered and he really liked it. I got it with the works and sprung for the Rasta Pasta. The delivery was quite quick. On the spur of the moment, my wife and I stopped in here for dinner. The restaurant is connected to the pro shop at the driving range and has changed hands quite a few times over the years. The layout is similar to newer takeout places where the food is in trays in front of you and you tell the server what you'd like. I had the jerk chicken meal and my wife had the ribs. Both meals came with sides (rice, green beans, and plantains) which were very good. I wasn't crazy about the chicken, but I did have a taste of the ribs and they were very good. After a tiring week of traveling, stumbling upon this hidden gem in my neighborhood was an absolute delight. As soon as I stepped inside, Karlene and her friendly staff greeted me warmly, sensing my fatigue. They took the time to guide me through the menu, providing helpful descriptions of each dish I inquired about. Within just 5 minutes, a plate of Jamaican Festivals arrived at my table, accompanied by a charming smile and a soft-spoken "enjoy" from the attentive waitress. Resembling breadsticks, these delectable treats were lightly fried and definitely not greasy. My taste buds tickled with delight. They tasted even better when paired with the jerk gravy. :) It didn't take long before I indulged in the Jerk Pork Belly appetizer (see Picture). Bursting with flavors that truly played with my palate, the pork was cooked just right, requiring little effort to savor its tenderness. The jerk gravy served on the side added an explosion of flavor that complemented the pork. For my main course, I had to try the Sweet Chili Glazed Salmon, which had caught my eye the moment I entered and surveyed the buffet. The salmon was a true delight, featuring hints of paprika, fresh herbs, and a perfect blend of spices, all topped off with a mouthwatering mixed chili glaze sauce. I should have taken a picture with my phone, but I was tired and to busy enjoying the dish which also had creamy mashed potatoes and veggies. Without a doubt, I'll be returning to this restaurant in the future. It provided exactly what I needed after a long week of travel, leaving me with a wonderful dining experience that I can't wait to revisit. Made a U-turn to return back here since it's on a highway ramp exit all because of a $7.99 Jamaican lunch special sign & so0o glad I did! It's a carribean restaurant with an easy parking lot to get in/out from the highway. It is very spacious & looks clean. It wasn't very busy on this day but I can imagine this place can get quite busy after eating my meal... The $7.99 lunch special includes rice, veggies, sweet plaintain & a meat. Of the meat choices I went with the one that looked chosen the most which was their "Island Stew"... A bite of their Island Stew made me melt. My manager and I decided to get lunch here and I was looking forward to it. When we arrived I parked in their lot right next to the golf place. When we walked in we were greeted and the nice young men explained certain dishes. They had food out, already made or food to order. I went with the vegetable roti and it came to about $13. Not exactly what I expected since this was my first time here. So it's set up more as a fast food restaurant. No hostess or a waitress to seat you and take your order. Walk in and go to the counter and order the entree. It's almost like a buffet set up, the food is there for your viewing. You pick your choice of protein and it comes with either regular rice or rice and beans, after that you choose two sides. The sides include steamed veggies, cabbage and sweet fried plantains among others. Food is plated and then you head down to one of the tables, aside from the plating of the food then it's self service. We were three and our orders consisted of oxtail, stewed chicken and a spicy salmon dish. Everything else aside the food was quite delicious considering that it was sitting in warming trays under heat lamps and not made to order. There was a steady flow of takeout customers and I guess most of their business comes from that. If you're looking for a quick bite or Caribbean take out then it's not a bad place to go. Came here for valentines day. I made a reservation for 5pm. The place was a little hard to fiind since it was in a shopping mall. Once we got there, the place was nicce. I liked all the hiibiscuss flowers and plantss they hadd. They were still rearranging things to a valentines day ttheme, so we had to wait about 15 min to be seated but we were immediately greeted once we arrived. Once seated, we sat near the back of the reaturant because the main dining hall was still being decorated. The wall we sat by, had a cool design, and we sat by something that looked like a fire pit table but with flowers. A lady who seems like the owner of the place was very inviting. When we arrived, reagge music was playing, but then it swotcched to pop music. She was kind enough to continue to play reggae music upon our request. A while later i ordered the brown stew chicken meal, my partner had the ribs and fries, and we orddeeed the jerk chicken appitozer but wanted all the food to come at the same time. They bought us festival as we waited. Let me tell you! They were so good. About 20-25 min later we got our food. During our waait, the owner (i think) was nice enough to take many pictures of us. It was an added hospitality touch that I liked. I also went into the bathroom that was clean and zenful. Fast forwarding back to the food lol. Im jamaican, so since the feativals was so good, i couldnt wait to taste the foodd. In my opinion, the brown stew chicken was a little too salty ( but i was hungry and stall ate it). The white rice had a lot of coconut milk, and i dont like coconuts. But that is not their fault since the description said so. My partner said the ribs were ok, and so was his fries. At first when trying the jerk chicken, it didntt have much flavor. But then when I pput that jerk saice on it, it broughtt it to another level of goodness. I figured since not many people can handle lspicy food, so thats why the sauce was oon the side, which was fine. I even asked for more jerk sauce. It was spice as hell, but i couldnt stop eating it lol. After we finished eatimg, they were setting up for the music. Seemed to be a pianist and another Musical player. My partner asked for the check, but i quickly shut him down. I was not ready lol. But we had other vday plans. I didnt see a dessert menu, but from looking on yelp, i knew they had desserts so i asked the server. Got the garden salad with added grilled chicken and the chili glazed salmon (which comes with 3 sides... I chose the yucca, vegetables and rice& beans) and split the two with my mom. This being my first time, I was also curious about the hibiscus Rasta pasta... the lady/owner was so nice she ended up bringing me out a Togo container of it to try! SO tasty. Really enjoyed all of the dishes. And I can't say enough about the service. Like I said, she was kind enough to let us try some sides and ended up bringing out our food to us as if we were dining in (it's usually just self service as this is a pop up shop). Apparently they recently moved from a different location that used to have live music.. would have loved to have experienced that! Have been wanting to try this place for a while. The most delicious dish I tried was the Rasta Pasta. It was very creamy and had a bit of spice to it. The plantains were okay, nothing too special. I also ordered the BBQ ribs (they were out of Jerk Ribs), which tasted like ordinary pork ribs covered in barbecue sauce, basically Americanized with no Caribbean touch to it. The food is so delicious and warming. I've tried every protein but the fish and have not been disappointed. The rice and beans isn't dry, and has plenty of flavor. The Rasta pasta is also delicious, although for some might be spicy. They have a few veggies to choose from as a side. I absolutely love the cabbage. The curried goat and jerk chicken both have a nice kick. I really like the stewed chicken so I can have my rice smothered in the sauce. Please do yourself a favor and try this. This is a 'Mom and pop' type restaurant. And yet there's always music. Right now there's a live jazz band. A trio, bass and drums and piano. My husband and I decided to stop in and have some lunch after running some errands and I am so happy that we did. Food was delicious. I had the stewed chicken with rice and beans and veggies, my husband had the curried chicken with the same sides and they were both amazing. The owner gave us a sample of the rasta pasta and it was so good that we had to get an order of that as well. Finally tried this place. Went on a Saturday night. It does have cafeteria style servings but they were plentiful and very good. The server was very nice and explained all the offerings to us. The rice and beans was flavorful as was the curried chicken. The hubby got the spicy goat which was flavorful but mostly bones. Plantains were yummy too. All in all a nice meal. This review is long overdue. September 22, 2021 I sent Karlene Brandon money for a pan of their delicious Rasta pasta for my grandmother's repast. I'm a pescatarian so I only eat seafood NO land food. My family has ordered this dish several times in the past until this final time. I ordered SHRIMP Rasta pasta and they made a critical error by adding chicken. Everyone enjoying all the food and I was left hangry. I brought this to Karlene attention and she immediately denied chicken was added and requested a photo. Even after receiving the photo showing chicken in the SHRIMP Rasta pasta she refuse to acknowledge the crucial culinary mistake. She never replied, never refunded, nor apologized. You don't insult 75-100 people taste buds and intelligence by telling them they're not eating shrimp AND chicken. She has lost our families business and we have shared this with everyone we know and who attended the funeral. Having a delicious dish but bad business acumen will eventually cost you. read more

Being a vegetarian I wasn't sure if they had anything for me . The owner was extremely friendly and told us about the veggie options. We finally went with the veggie Rasta pasta and the curried vegetables and they are both really yummy and both me and my husband loved it . The veggie pattie wasn't as good as the above 2 but was good . I have had their bread pudding in the past and it is also very good . Everything is a good quantity .
