umm... what can I say besides flippin' awesome! I learned quickly walking in and out within 20 minutes and no scheduled appointment that this dynamic duo came all the way from Texas to bring their talents to Hialeah. For a whopping $25 I walked out with "just like on TV" eyebrows. He first applied the tint that was very sensitive to the skin (not like hair dye) followed by the wax. We waxed on and waxed off. And in 1-2-3 I was done. What an amazing job! Although, the tint was too dark for my taste and I fill in my brows by the way, the shade wasn't close enough to my hair in which I asked to lighten a little bit and he did by using like a light tint remover. The reason for the tint is for people who need a small filler and don't want to fill with pencil for the time being. This usually lasts about a week but all depends on the amount of times the person is exposed to water. So glad I was able to introduce them to Yelp and be the first one to add their business on here. FYI: I have called numerous times and NO ONE ANSWERS. I also went in person on Saturday October 17th and they were CLOSED! It seems like this business is either out of business or they have disappeared and have not notified their clients which is the professional thing to do. Would give this place zero stars if possible. I came here before leaving for a cruise to try and get a gel pedicure and waxing services. Because I am not from this area, I was extra cautious about asking clarifying questions when I called this morning to make sure that they understood the services I was requesting. I got an affirmative response about them understanding only to get here and Kim decline to perform leg waxing services. They clearly do not have it redacted on their signage nor do they mention that when you call. She agreed to wax my brows and under arms. I immediately expressed frustration to Kim and she went to the back and refused to return to the front. I tried to settle for the brow and under arm service and immediately they code switch to their native language and all of a sudden they can only do brows . I wanted to fall in love with this place, but it's not what I was looking for. First off, I have more hair than i know what to do with, so when it comes to eyebrows, i'm absolutely an Eye-Brow Shaper's dream come true. My eyebrows grow fast and long, making it necessary to shape and trim (yes trim, just like men!) them every 2 weeks, no tints necessary. Based on reviews, I went for what i hope would be the most amazing shape of my life. I also half-expected a decent experience. The gentleman at the front desk was amazingly sweet & warm. Offered me & my mom water, and asked us to wait. Please keep in mind, this is my first time here. I do not know names. I've never met these people before. Out came the eyebrow specialist who without any introduction waved me over and took me to the wax room. Without a single word exchanged he pointed to a straight chair (I've always been on tilted chairs for eyebrows, but i don't question people's techniques). I sat and before i could even speak, i had wax on my eyebrows. Wouldn't it be a good thing to find out what your customer wants? Maybe ask if they want thin or thick, or arched or not? I've never gone to a hairstylist or other beautician of any kind that doesn't first ask me what i want or don't want. Well we skipped that whole part and i had my wax strip off before even getting a chance to think about it. The speed was impressive. Yes, there was some sort of shape. I was quickly handed a mirror but all i could see was the wax i had left over under my eyebrow? I asked if he could remove it to which he did VERY RELUCTANTLY. It almost bothered him that i even asked. He was kind enough to finally speak and told me "it would wash off." No trimming of the longer hairs i had sticking out. He just brushed them down. Not even a single tweeze for shape. Not a friendly hello or goodbye. I was annoyed. I headed back to the waiting room (where there are no mirrors) and waited for my mom. She was up next. Her eyebrows are thin and weak and she is blonde. So she figured a tint would be great for our upcoming event. While she was underway, i quickly grabbed my phone camera and realized my eyebrows were uneven! The center was off. But I already felt unwelcome so I sat back and miserably awaited my mother. We quickly paid ($25 for mines, $35 for hers PLUS a 20%TIP) and ran to the car. Upon taking a good look at my mom, her eyebrows were dark brown. Her hair is blonde. I love tacky Madonna looks too, but my mom looked borderline tranny. I tried to calm her down by explaining they would lighten up, (SOMETHING which should've been explained to her) but she wasn't having it. She felt just like I did. Completely unwelcome and with such a dry demeanor from the person doing eyebrows, we decided it would be easier to go home and fix them ourselves. So $72 later, and we were still altering eyebrows back at home. Not the best experience. Truly the 2 stars are only for the speed of the waxing itself and the sweet man at the front desk. read more

I've never done tinting. I've done threading and waxing before. I've read online and youtubed eyebrow tinting all night the night before I went to HiBrow. I found on yelp many places but for some reason I ended up at HiBrow and it was the BEST move I've ever done. I asked a million questions once I arrived but just because I was nervous. When I saw the guy in the front desk, the only thing I noticed were his eyebrows! They were tinted and done to PERFECTION!! Once I walked inside the room, I knew I was in the right place. I regret not remembering their names but because I was just so focused on my eyebrows. He made me feel so comfortable and confident that my results were going to be great and they were!! I'm in LOVE with my eyebrows. I've never ever had perfect eyebrows like I do now. I have very light eyebrow hair and they barely grow out. They are perfect now. I had a tint and wax for just $25!!! I will definitely go back again. HiBrow is in a small shopping center therefore there is parking. I literally went in and out. He was so quick. I had hopped around many different salons looking for the perfect eyebrow salon and I finally found it 2-3 years ago. Tink worked with my eyebrows according to my facial structure and I absolutely loved the outcome After the renovation I still do my eyebrows there, but now I do them with Kim as well as I do my nails with her. If you are one of those ladies whose gel mani doesn't last up to a week, GO TO KIM!! I was one of those that my gel mani would peel right off my nail after 4-5 days. Honestly, not anymore. It saddened me to update my review to anything less than 5 stars for Tink and his business. I have been faithfully attending his shop for 2-3 years. However, a few months ago - I went to Hibrow only to leave and LITERALLY cry in my car on my drive back to work because I knew it would be my last time visiting them. Anyone that knows me, knows I am all about my eyebrows. Anything can go except my eyebrows - it makes or breaks you, is my belief. The last time I went to Hibrow, the owner/eyebrow doctor (Tink) seemed out of it, he was rude and seemed bothered that I was even there. I thought it was just not his day and still decided to do my eyebrows because I had faith in him.. he always shades/powders my eyebrows in, except this time he didn't because he was just too lazy to do it - he joked but then said I didn't need it. (Please note I am not referring to Tint, as it is additional fee/optional). I was a little stunned but as I was sitting there, I asked if he was okay - he is usually so upbeat and cheerful, his aura is was kept me as a customer until that day. He turned around to state he was "not a clown to serve as entertainment". OUCH. At this point, I was indeed "all in my feelings". I went to pay and then pricing had once again been bumped up - Hibrow has two (2) locations... I would understand $30 for eyebrow in South Beach, but in Hialeah? Ehh. Yes, I am trying to have nice eyebrows but not at $35. Anyway. I consulted with about 4-5 friends whom I had referred to Hibrow and was stunned to find out that a week or two before they had experienced similar issues and would not be returning. I strongly believe and hope that the issues experienced were only temporary because indeed Hibrow's owner (TINK) is great at what he does but between pricing and the customer service recently... the customer relationship is broken. read more
