Hiccups is a great place to study and work (outlet + wifi) but do not have high hopes for their drinks or service. The drinks are extremely sweet with little to no taste of the drink itself. They also charged me $8 for a single drink that I can't drink beyond my second sip. It tasted like the sweetest Frappuccino with extra sugar. Not good at all! I went there today with my mom and I ordered the shaken beef w/ shrimp. I don't usually like shrimp too much with my food but the food I received exceeded my expectations. My favorite place to eat for Vietnamese food! I recommend the house coffee or thai tea. On a gloomy day, the pho brisket is perfect and flavorful. I enjoy the filet mignon rice or stir fry flat noodles with broccoli, yum. I've had about everything on the menu and it's pretty good. I prefer the popcorn chicken with rice versus the fries. The Bahn mi is a hit or miss but I realized when the barista Malaih or Angelica makes it, it's so good! The Belgium waffle is mid. Omg, pair the ham and cheese croissant with the ube coffee... arggg delish! Shout out to the fun, friendly, and helpful staff! The ambiance is chill. A delicious hidden gem! I got the bbq pork banh mi and the Vietnamese coffee, both incredible. The banh mi was made on a fresh and warm roll with tasty fillings! The Vietnamese coffee was the perfect strength of coffee and sweetened to perfection. It actually reminds me of a really good coffee ice cream. I tried this for the first time last night. I had the shaken beef with fried rice. My husband had grilled pork bahn mi and a strawberry twist to drink! This place reads more like a drink spot to me so I was a little skeptical. To my delight, The food was excellent and portion size was also good. On mine, the beef was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Sorry, I didn't get any of my husband's sandwich but he raved how delicious it was! He also enjoyed his beverage. The service was also good. The cashier was friendly and helpful. I had questions about the menu and they were answered in the most customer service friendly way. I'm very impressed and will be back! Give it a try! Next time I will take photos! I've been coming to this Hiccups branch since they were at the Outer Circle location, and I will say I was skeptical of the move because I've seen similar businesses suffer over location changes. Now that it's been a while, I feel comfortable saying it's been a success. However, the real reason I wanted to comment was not over that but because I've been especially pleased with my recent experiences. Again, I've been coming here for years, but I really notice a considerable increase in customer service quality in the last few months. The team has been so responsive to me, and I really feel they have gone the extra mile. I've always been someone who is fine with generic customer service; as long as the staff is respectful, I'm okay. It's a business. We don't need to sugarcoat that the staff is there to work and get paid for doing so. Hiccups has followed this practice for the most part throughout their locations. But now, the service at this location in particular is, well, meaningful. The staff possess great people skills, and they are interested in/genuine with their customers. It doesn't feel that they're just there doing a job, mechanically. The experienced ones don't look burned out, and the young ones don't look bored to death. They seem like actual people. There are some baristas in particular who are quite excellent in being personal while maintaining professionalism. A few months ago, I would head to Hiccups every Friday night for a pick me up in a very stressful time. The same barista always took my order, and not too long after this routine, she remembered me. I was surprised because I really wouldn't consider myself a regular, and she sees numerous people every day. I was struck by how she actually pays attention to the customers who enter the store. She started recommending new drink ideas to me and would ask about my work (I had commented once how I came straight from a 12 hour day). After I stopped going weekly, I didn't go for a while. Yet when I went back, not on a Friday, the same barista happened to be there and was happy to see me. Our interactions are the right amount of brief and genuine (I honestly would be annoyed if someone was probing into my personal life in that setting), which is so refreshing from the mindless interactions that permeate the every day. This is an example of the subtle yet meaningful shift I have seen lately. Hiccups has a different energy now, a much more inviting one for customers. Again, I was never displeased with the service before, but experiences like these beg the question for businesses to consider: why settle for adequate service when you can strive for exceptional service? That's how you attract new customers and create loyal ones. I'm not sure if this location has new management or a new team lead, but whatever they're doing with their baristas is working, and I hope for it to continue. I've really seen them grow in their capacity as a staff. They're more cohesive, and I've been impressed several times with how they've handled challenging situations with customers. That's hard to achieve, especially considering that I see a lot of young adults working here in presumably their first job. They seem to have good guidance from the more experienced baristas, as this is one of the few places where I see high schoolers/college students really interested in gaining experience. This is the only Hiccups location I go to now. The food honestly has never really been my favorite, I mainly get their drinks, but the service is what I support. There are other Hiccups locations that are more convenient for me to go to, but it's not the same experience. If I'm going to one, I'm going to the Willow Hiccups. read more

ICED COFFEE BUYERS BEWARE, THEY PUT WAY TOO MUCH ICE. FELLOW PATRONS LOOK AT THE PICTURES BELOW PLEASE. NOT AN EXAGGERATION. I go to this location all the time and their drinks are good but they put way too much ice. I ask for easy ice ALL THE TIME !!!! but as shown on cup tag the request and if you look to the left I put the ice in a clear glass and it's filled all the way almost to the top. You would be lucky if the large is 6 oz after all the Ice they put. At a price of 14 bucks for two drinks not including tip it's a poor business practice. Please see the other people's comments, there's a pattern of improper serving size. This buisness is cheating it's customers. Please don't just take my word for it. Read the other Google comments or try this experiment yourself. Sad thing is, I don't think it's the baristas/ employee's fault and I always tip them.
