I have driven past this place many times and finally decided to give it a shot. My partner and I were pleasantly surprised. The bar area is decked out in sports memorabilia and old school sports equipment. It looked pretty clean to me as well. Our server was great! He was prompt and friendly. We ordered off of the protein power part of the lunch menu. It includes a salad and either a full rack of ribs or a plate with pulled pork, bbq chicken breast and chopped beef brisket. I got the kale salad and my partner got the Caesar salad. The kale was tasty and I definitely want to go try recreating it. My partner enjoyed his Caesar salad. I got the full rack of ribs which I'll probably get next time too, unless we go for the prime rib lol my partner enjoyed the three meat plate, we did share and I prefer the ribs. Our server knew the menu well and when we went to order the prime rib he was honest and advised otherwise for "this batch." Hubbs had ribs & brisket with fries & baked beans extra toast instead of coleslaw. The brisket was over cooked (had a pulled pork esthetic & texture) but nicely flavored. The ribs are smaller than last time I was here but still fall off the bone tender & just as good. I had half a rack with corn on the Cobb, beans & extra toast instead of coleslaw. Overall I am giving my experience a 4 because of our server Brandon. He was on point and had great customer service skills. My wife ordered the filet mignon and she said it was amazing! ... she always gets the good stuff I had the combo plate with brisket and catfish. The brisket was dry after a few bites. The catfish was coo. The baked beans were something else and not in the best way. Ordered takeout last night... It was over $100 for two people, two combos with a few added apps. The Serving sizes for the coleslaw and beans are the size of a shot glass. Serving size for Mac' n' cheese is also small. The cornbread muffins is a single small muffin. The apple sauce that we thought would be homemade is just a little plastic cup like you would buy for your 7 year old to take in their lunch to school. Also, They forgot our side of fries. I had the brisket as well but the brisket seemed to have no flavor at all on it. I'm more of the type of person if you have to out some type of sauce on your bbq it's not seasoned correctly. I have to say the food is hit or miss. My salad had big lettuce pieces that seemed like garnish, the chicken in it was super dry. It was called bbq chicken but I had to add the bbq sauce. Wasn't a fan of that. The burger was ok, the sausage link was good, the fries were way over done, too hard to eat. The best thing we had were the wings, which were so different. They had been made into like a lollipop almost. They had lots of meat and a wonderful smoky flavor. Also the Mac and cheese hit the spot, it was creamy and gooey. The cheesy potatoes were just okay, could have been cooked a little more. The baked beans, the beans were slightly undercooked and just a ketchup flavor for the sauce. The potato salad was made perfectly as far as texture but seasoning. On to the positives. The Mac N Cheese with bacon bits on top was nice and creamy and the bacon was a major plus. The coleslaw had a nice flavor and crunchy texture. On to the stars. The sausage had a nice coarse texture to it and very flavorful. The brisket and pulled pork were both moist and dried out. Just walked up to the table and said what are we having to drink. For four of us the bill was over $120. No alcohol beverages. Very over priced. We also had a coupon from Legend High School. This experience is from my dinner yesterday with a friend of mine that I haven't seen in quite a bit so we decided to stop in and catch up over dinner. We were seated immediately which I was little worried it would be super busy and we would have to wait, but nope. No line. Our server, cage, came over and took our drink order and offered us water. He was extremely attentive and fantastic server. I don't think he can legally serve alcohol because someone else always brought out the drinks.
