A friend and I stopped in on a Friday for the pineapple ginger mojito. I'd never had it before, she said I had to try it. Once we sat at the bar we figured lunch was obviously in order too, and she told me about the pork chop they do for dinner. We were eyeing the pork chop bites on the menu and asked Charissa behind the bar about it. She recommended we split the pork chop lunch special instead, said it was a great deal and the perfect portion for two. Oh... my god... Seriously the best pork chop I've ever had! You could cut it with a fork. And they split it between two plates for us beautifully, pork chop, mashed potatoes, all of it plated like we'd each ordered our own! Charissa and Jerik behind the bar made the whole experience. Genuinely friendly, and even though this feels like a nice place, they weren't stuffy about it at all. Just chill, casual, kind, and it made everything feel right. I'm usually a boring vodka soda guy, but that mojito was so refreshing and light, I'm still thinking about it. Really, really good. We arrived with a large party celebrating a wedding and were taken to our private room. The wait staff was extremely friendly and courteous to us. Making sure we had water, and other drinks the whole night. We had the asparagus and the pork bites for an appetizer and both were very delicious. We continued the meal with a salad, the caesar was great! I decided to get the ribeye, the lady decided to go with the pork chop. My steak was cooked to perfection and the garlic butter on top was too delicious. I could have drank it. Her pork chop was not a pork chop. It was more than a mere pork chop. It was essentially 3 meals on a plate and she had to take it home. I tried it and it was very delicious as well. The side were great too. The au gratin potatoes were so tasty. I could've eaten a whole plate by myself. Dessert was an orange creme cheesecake. Boy was it sweet. Sweet & delicious. I know this place is a bit pricey, but it is worth it for special occasions. My wife ordered the Dinner Pork Chop while I opted for the Perry's Filet. My filet with king crab meat was excellent. The asparagus was a bit over-done but still tasty. Also ordered the loaded mashers which were great. The Dinner Pork Chop stunned my wife. She had no idea how HUGE it was. Carved on a hot cast iron pan, she at the rib meat (4 ribs) and 1 bite of the cap. The rest, including the entire eye, we brought home. We look forward very much to a leftover dinner of the eye of the Chop + the remaining loaded mashers! It was a great dinner and an exceptional anniversary celebration! I had been raving to my friends about the famous pork chop at Perry's for a long time. So when I asked a friend where I could take her for her birthday lunch, of course she said Perry's. They only do lunch on Fridays so I made a reservation (reservations are a must any time because they are so popular). The restaurant was full but we only waited a few minutes. Once we were seated we were immediately greeted by our server - Mert. He was friendly, professional and very efficient. We both ordered the pork chop lunch which came with applesauce and delicious whipped potatoes. Our food was so good! Mert was nice enough to bring my friend a birthday card signed by some of the staff and also dessert with a candle. Came here for a bday celebration and had a fantastic time. The caramel espresso martini was to die for! The scallops were not a favorite but the escargot were great. I had the bacon wrapped filet and it was delicious! The famous pork chop didn't disappoint either, it's the most my dad has eaten out in a while. Medium noise from many diners enjoying their evening but you are still able to have a conversation. The service is first-rate! Food is excellent! Another great day at Perry's steakhouse for my birthday. The staff even signed a birthday card. The fried asparagus and crab is to die for. They have a new patio menu with a tiny lobster bisque, filet and lobster and other items. It was super nice to sit on the patio. I got a wonderful birthday dessert and all the tension I could handle. First off, I was there for a business lunch so I did not take pictures of my meal. I also am unable to fairly rate the service as we asked the server to slow things down for us as we had some late attendees. I can say that once our orders were placed, the food came out in a very acceptable timeframe. The steak I ordered rare was cooked well done. This is unacceptable at this type of steakhouse. If we were not already running late I would have returned the steak, but we were in a time crunch so I did not send it back and ate the well done steak. The sides were good, but the steak was a huge letdown. I should have gotten the pork chop. It looked fantastic. If I ever make it back here, I will have to give it a shot. The real bad news was after lunch. In the car my stomach started bothering me. I made it back to the office and pushed through for about an hour, and then the drive home was terrible. My stomach did barrel rolls the rest of the day, and I took many trips to the restroom that evening, and canceled my normal evening plans (gym, walk, etc). I was plainly sick to my stomach for the entire day following the meal here. I cannot remember the last time I ever had such a direct response to a meal this way, but I wrestle with how a simple meal of beef, potatoes, veggies, and bread could make me as sick as I was. Still, it happened, and I cannot deny it. So, not a great experience. If I am invited for a work lunch again I will attend, hoping this was a one-off experience, but I probably will not be back if it is on my own dime. read more

Dining at a steakhouse as a vegetarian. Who knew? Went to Perrys often when we ate meat - it was a go-to for our wedding anniversary. This year we decided to go back, meatlessly If you are a vegetarian, or know one you like to dine with, don't count out Perrys. They have some excellent seafood dishes, and the apps are really enough for a vegetarian to work with. Check the menus online! The service, as ever, was outstanding. When we mentioned it was our 35th anniversary, our server came back and said "We need some romance here" and spread rose petals on the table. She was attentive and prompt, and extremely pleasant. For pre-dinner cocktails, I had "The Godfather Returns" (a scotch drink), which was great. Also, we think their bread is some of the best around. She had a "Fashioned First" which was a fun twist on an old-fashioned. We started with the Truffle Spinach and Artichoke Dip. Too much for two, so we took leftovers home and it was great the next day, too. Maria, the beautiful Italian, had the Crab Cakes appetizer, which she pronounced "Delicious". I had the Caesar Salad and we split the Au Gratin Potates side (sooo good). Went for a holiday party with set menu. For apps, we had fried asparagus with lumb crab meat, the steak and blue cheese crostinis and pork chop bites. I'd give all three 5 stars since they were my favs. Then we had the wedge salad and lobster bisque. Both were 3.5 stars. For mains, we had the 8oz filet and 12oz ribeye. I noticed they didn't ask us how we wanted our steaks to be cooked. Besides that, service was very nice and attentive. I think I like the steaks at other steakhouses in Denver better. Comes with a side of some kind of liqueur if you want to put it in. 3/5. their famous pork chop - this dish was comically large. The portion of meat served here easily feeds 3 generously. Pork was well cooked, nicely smoked, and served with applesauce. This order is not an entree for 1, and I dont think most people can come close to finishing it. Must have been an off night. Lobster tail overcooked could hardly cut or chew it and the butter was a weird consistency and flavor, did not taste like melted butter. I had found out that they have a military menu that has a 3 course option with a few selections for $40 that's available until 6:00pm as long as you show your military ID. We didn't order off the menu but it did have some great options. We ordered the stuffed seafood mushrooms as an appetizer and the lobster bisque and both were amazing! We ordered the Japanese Koji aged steak, Perry's famous Pork Chops, and the Filet Mignon. Everything was cooked to perfection and our service was exceptional. Came here for my dad's birthday on a Saturday night. We were seated right away as we made a reservation. It did get packed by the time we left so I am glad we had an early reservation at 5:00pm. It was rather dark so don't forget your reading glasses. I loved that they had plenty of booths and even some intimate booths that only sit two people. I would say cute/casual is the bare minimum for attire. People came in wearing hiking gear and it felt a little out of place. You can also dress up as the decor/ambiance is dark, moody and elegant. Our waiter Damien was great. We order everything at the same time, and he made sure that it was spaced our appropriately. Also, didn't judge us for ordering a well-done steak. lol The French Onion Soup was amazing! great starter and the steak was delicious. Note* The side are rather large, and you only need to order one maybe two for two people. We did end up having a lot of leftovers. I would say an entree and an appetizer, or an entree and a side would be enough with a dessert at the end. I honestly would pass on the lobster mac next time. I was wanting to start my birthday month off with a nice dinner so I thought I'd treat myself here for a nice steak. Well unfortunately I ran into the problem that the chef couldn't cook a descent med well steak. When it came out initially it was more medium even the bartender and manager saw it wasn't the right temperature. They brought it back and the outside was burnt and still not cooked correctly in the middle. I ate it as I was hungry but had I not been I would have asked for them to just take it off my bill. They were apologetic but again it didn't fix the food. The ambiance was very nice and the service was good. On top of that I had asked if they had a military discount and turns out that they actually have a military menu with limitations such as time constraints etc... but it's daily which is a plus with good deals. Funny as i normally ask for a military discount at time of the check not as soon as I sit down. Food for thought. The manager did offer me a free desert but i wasn't in the mood for one. read more

We came in for a girls' night, and Holly made it an evening we'll be talking about for a long time! From the moment she greeted us, she was warm, welcoming, and genuinely fun while still maintaining the professionalism you'd expect from a fine dining steakhouse. You can tell the kitchen takes great pride in every plate that leaves the pass. It was one of those meals where every bite was just as impressive as the last. Holly's personality truly made our night. She made us feel celebrated, kept the atmosphere light and enjoyable, and treated us with such genuine kindness and attentiveness that we felt like VIPs. I really wanted to like this place but for the $$$, not really worth it. We did their Valentine's Day menu, and I am not sure if that why the food was not great. Seems to me that they did not have quality control. Yes, they do ask you to cut your steak in half to check the cook but after waiting so long, all we wanted to do is dig in. I felt like I was drinking ocean water. Fine, its a busy day. I tried the mash potatoes that it came with..... yup salty. I am not sure what happened there. Dessert was good. Choc Crunch Tower -- tasted like the Ikea choc crunch cake if you have ever tried it. Super sweet. And you cannot go wrong with the cheesecake. Service was great! Perry's has redeemed themselves! After a terrible birthday experience (review since removed) I have had several great experiences at Perry's. You can't go wrong with the fried asparagus with the jumbo lump crabmeat. Anything fried is delicious and adding crab and a butter sauce just puts it over the top. The pork chop is always amazing. It is huge (big enough for two people) and flavor is beyond. From the crust to the tender meat to triple bone Perrys has perfected the pork chop. No baked potatoes offered. It's a steakhouse. A baked potato is a must. Cesar salad used to be great. They added lemon. Not very good. The wedge almost no blue cheese. That's what a traditional wedge is expected to taste like. The special prime rib caramelized not very good at all. Desserts are average. Decent atmosphere no complaints on that. The competition is strong here in Denver for steak and there are other steakhouses that edge Perry's out on all points. Mainly food points. It pains me to write this review since Perry's has been my reliable go-to for special occasions for over 12 years. I came in yesterday for Thanksgiving, and I have NEVER been so let down and disappointed by Perry's! First of all, I expected a crowd (I came in last year on Thanksgiving as well), but the sheer number of people packed into the dining room was astounding. My wife and I were seated in a separate room from the main dining room, in the very back corner. There was no ambience to speak of, apart from that of a sardine tin. Our server was just coming over to greet us when someone brought bread to the table. Because we had barely sat down and the server was still going through their greeting, by the time we were able to order drinks and get into the bread, it had gone cold and tough. We each ordered our favorite, the pork chop, along with the Brussels sprouts and whipped potatoes with cheese and chives. I was only a few sips into my cocktail when the food arrived, which made it seem like the goal of the evening was to get as many tables in and out as quickly as possible. It made our meal feel extremely rushed and not special at all. I don't know what happened, but both of our pork chops were extremely fatty, with several large areas that had to be cut away to get to any edible meat. I've eaten the Perry's pork chop at least 20 times over the years, and I've NEVER had one that was such poor quality. The potatoes also came with such a thick layer of cheese on the top that they were really unappetizing. We ordered an off-menu dessert with champagne biscuits and a white chocolate mousse, but the biscuits were tough and seemed stale. I barely had time to order a second drink before our server arrived with the check. We asked for boxes, and the server took our food away to package it up. Imagine my surprise today when I opened my leftovers box to see that they appear to have given me someone else's pork chop.... I took a picture of our food when it got to the table, and both of our plates had long ribs that were hanging over the serving platter. I ate one, which should have left me with two at home. What I received was one short, stumpy rib that did NOT come from my plate. I imagine that such a thing could only have happened because they were so busy, but now I am unable to eat my leftovers because of health/hygiene concerns. I don't know whose food this is, but it ain't mine. I am so upset at this experience. For $250+, this was completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, I am not sure if I will be returning to what was previously my favorite steakhouse. read more

Long overdue review from March 2024. I recently reserved a private dinner at Perry's on Sunday, the 24th, for my husband's 50th birthday, with a party of 14. John, our main server, was outstanding, and everyone who attended to us was incredibly attentive. The room was perfect--intimate yet spacious enough to move around comfortably. We enjoyed personalized service throughout, with plenty of time to fully savor the experience. The evening's menu was customized with my selections and included a special menu printed with my husband's name as a keepsake. The filet, pork chop, and other dishes were exceptional! Perry's used to be the go to steakhouse at Park Meadows. Sadly, it has succumbed shrink-flation and poorly selected food supply. We tried the standard calamari it was literally choke worthy. The calamari was rubbery and greasy. So We then shifted to the sliders which the chef should be ashamed of, instead he sent and scrap meat slapped between two buns and called it done. Its was chewing, had no flavor and literally looked like left over cuts of meat. With so many wonderful steakhouses to choose from, I would have thought a long standing operation like Perry's, would continue to raise above. I am disappointed to state, that have not. read more
