1st time at Hickory Tavern. Food was amazing. We shared the giant pretzel. So soft with the right amount of salt. The cheese was a tasty addition. We've had our share of burgers and your smash burger did not disappoint. We ended it with the banana pudding. Love the add carmel crunch. Our server Wynter was very attentive, refills were never asked for, she just brought them and cleared plates when needed and always with a smile. Will definitely go back!!! read more

Went in for a burger and tots. Something has changed, and not for the better. The quality of the beef was awful making the burger hard to eat. The tots were overcooked and flavorless. What a disappointment from a restaurant I truly used to enjoy. read more

Customer service and ambience was good. Went to listen to the 80s band Kids in America who was absolutely awesome. The food fell flat for me tho. I got the lemon pepper wings and flavor was good but I should have asked for them to be cooked longer, was very rubbery. I tried shrimp tacos too and not much seasoning. Honestly couldn't really see any seasoning on the shrimp, would have been awesome if they were blackened but they seemed like was just boiled in water and placed in the taco. I wouldn't order again but it was other items on the menu I'd go back and try. read more

Food - 5/5 Service / friendliness - 10/5 Organization for large groups - 2/5 Stopped at Hickory Tavern for a post memorial service lunch with about 30 people. It took a few hours for everyone to order and get their food. I think the location was not well equipped to handle such a large party at once. When we did order our food, our waiter was very kind and friendly. I believe he got everything mostly correct too (my food was at least.) The Asian power bowl was great. The tuna was cooked well, everything tasted fresh and it was plated beautifully. I also ordered a side of tater tots with a few sauces. Everything was super tasty. The bartender even made me a delicious Moscow mule mocktail. She was so friendly and awesome. I think I experienced what some refer to as southern hospitality. All in all, definitely check out Hickory Tavern. They have a huge menu with lots of options for different dietary preferences, but if you're going with an extensively large group, have a snack before hand or maybe consider an establishment more well equipped for large parties like a banquet hall. I wish I was in the area longer because I would have loved to have went back for lunch or dinner with just my husband. read more

We had sat down and wanted to order drinks, they had three people come and check our IDs more than once because they thought they were fakes when indeed all of ours were real and the proof was in there. We asked them to scan it but they said they did not have a scanner yet were having trouble deciding if our IDs are real. They couldn't even tell what a real ID was which meant that they need to get a scanner to avoid humiliating guests. We are all above 21 and it was very degrading. We did not see anyone else get treated this way and it was overall a rude experience and the manager did not explain himself till after a while. It took maybe 20+ minutes of constantly checking our IDs before we could finally get our drinks. When we finally did, the drinks did not taste like they had alcohol in them and tasted watered down. This made the whole experience a bit uncomfortable. read more

We came in about one hour and fifteen minutes before closing on a Sunday night. Final weekend hour isn't always a great idea but we are not from this area and were in desperate need of a hot meal! We weren't rushed, the food was fresh, and the bathrooms were clean. Only complaint: Couldn't get seated in a comfy booth and the TVs were really very loud - everything else was great. Pow Pow Shrimp amazed me, fried shrimp and big broccoli pieces all fried up with a super spicy sauce. This dish on a bed of white rice or noodles with some sliced cucumber would be a dream, just sayin. Delicious. Thanks, Chef. I had eight garlic parm wings with onion rings, loved it. Very good gastropub. Went during post-lunch time frame. Parking is ample with area Farms shopping area around corner. Had burgers (all of us did) and were savory - even tho mine was goofed from one type too classic. It was still good so a non-issue for me. Facility is nothing to brag about. Great place for game day. This is a pretty busy location in a shared shopping center. There is plenty of parking and the staff are friendly. The best item is the Cajun seasoned wings. They have drink specials daily. The drinks come strong. Brandon is amazing at the bar and really holds it down. I have only sat at the bar so I can not give any information on the waitresses. They have a patio area and plenty of seating. The restrooms could use a little tender love and care on a regular. This is a chain restaurant. Hope you enjoy! read more

Hickory tavern is a nice restaurant. Great atmosphere and a nice menu. So why did I give them only three stars? I ordered fish and chips and there was No chips "fries " on the plate. There goes one star. The fish was subpar. You see that I just moved here from New England where the fish and chips is a staple there. Haddock and cod are the white fish they use in New England. My wonderful wife ordered the smothered chicken and the chicken was tough. There goes another star. The good news is that the pretzel bites and a side of Gouda Mac and cheese was the saving Grace of this meal. God bless all my fellow foodies Always. read more

Kind of a "dirty kitchen" smell as soon as you walk in. I put that aside and sat at the bar to order a drink. Bartender was great. Would up ordering the patriot burger. Pretty good. Was just taken aback by the fruit flies flying around the bar..... Not a clean place. Also has satellite TV. Was raining while I was there. Signal kept cutting out during March madness. I don't usually eat at chains - even regional ones - but a customer picked this location for lunch. I was surprised at how good the wings were. Parking in in a shopping plaza style lot. So easy. COVID - social distancing was utilized for seating. All employees wearing masks. Wings - I got the charred hot and they were excellent. Decent size too. Broccoli - I got a side of steamed broccoli. I got the blackened pasta 7 times in a row and it was perfect and the last 4 times..... No blackening and it was dry ASF! Don't sell it anymore if you can't cook it right! The food was good. Drinks were good. Service extremely slow during the middle of the afternoon - around 2:30pm - on a Saturday in summertime. It was not crowded at all for the service to be that slow. The men's bathroom (according to my husband and his friend) smelled like sewage and rotten eggs. The women's restroom had paper towels over flowing from the trash cans. The two paper towel dispensers they had - one was completely empty. The other one had ONE towel left that fell on the wet floor and I had no choice but to use it. I notified the staff (all young kids who were standing around talking - no wonder the service is so slow - no one was even working) I was nice about it - thinking of the next customers who use the restroom. They basically just looked at me like I was crazy and just said "OK". Terrible experience. No one that works there even cares. read more

Placed an online curbside order and received confirmation that it would be ready in about thirty minutes for a 7:18pm pickup. Arrived on time and clicked the "I'm here" button as instructed and then waited and waited and waited until I decided to call as maybe the magic button wasn't working. The young lady who answered seemed to have no idea about my order so I waited and waited some more until I received my order ten minutes after it was supposed to ready. As I suspected, when i got home and opened the bag, the quesadilla was dry and lifeless, the burger bun was soggy and the food was lukewarm at best. Obviously had been sitting somewhere that entire time getting cold while no one brought it out to us when it was originally scheduled to be ready. We stumbled upon this place and I am glad that we did. Our server was very nice and the food was great!! My build your own salad was perfect and well priced, My daughter loved her burger and my son loved the tots and tenders.
