Met up with a large group and we had reserved tables and two dedicated waitresses and both were absolutely amazing. I can't recall one of their name but I do remember Spencer was the other. Both ladies handled our large crowd with grace and amazing attitudes. Was my first time at this location and because of their excellent service I'd definitely go back again. I had the garlic parm wings charred, they were cooked to perfection but can't really say they had a lot of garlic flavor, least not strong like I would expect. My partner and their family ordered take out for us and it was a complete mess. But once we did get the food, my nachos were one of the saddest things I've seen from a restaurant. It was missing half of its ingredients listed on the actual menu.... luckily I had things in the fridge to doctor them up to be better. Came in because it was so close to my hotel and the reviews were great! I ordered the tavern burger no bun, side of broccoli! Being a Sauvignon blanc snob, I noticed the menu said the Whithaven was from California, NOT! Now, Im not saying Cali doesn't have some great wines, but leave the Sauvignon blanc to the New Zealanders! Lol!! Justine was my server and she took very good care of me! This visit and service was absolutely excellent and the food was AMAZING! I HIGHLY recommend getting a tavern burger with either the house chips or cole slaw. When we arrived, I was worried we might be too late but, not at all! We were promptly greeted and seated eith a smile from the hostess and we met our server within 3 minutes. Sierra I, if I remember correctly, is a very kind and attentive server. She was there before we needed anything and also brought us a wonderful sweet potato treat after our meal. However, our meal was excellent! We both had tavern burgers and honestly, they're very tasty and have a rich flavor. The burgers come cooked to perfection and well dressed with the best lettus, tomatoes, pickles, and melted cheese. To be honest, this isnt the best grilled cheeseburger in Charlotte but it's very good and much better than my last review. I have been here before but this visit truly shows that restaurants can get even better with time! We loved it and this visit made such a great impression on us that we will return! I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the burger, while very good, wasn't grilled to order... meaning they don't charcoal grill burgers at different preferences such as, "medium rare." Was in town for a few days staying at a nearby hotel and this was close so I ended up their for dinner 2 nights in a row. The first night was very quiet and calm, the next night there was a great band. The bartenders were very attentive and nice. Food was great as well especially the chili. read more

Took me awhile to write this but!! Had dinner there tonight. Service was great but the food was very disappointing. We had wing ribs and shrimp tacos. The tacos were cold ant the shrimp were a frozen pre cooked imported shrimp that had no flavor and were very chewy. The salsa was basically tomato sauce with no peppers. The ribs came out as individual ribs. Pre cooked and there were 4 of them for $19.99 with a side. We had wings with a side of celery. We asked for extra celery and they charged $3.00 and brought out 3 small stalks. Very disappointed in the food read more

I come to this location multiple times a week and the service is hit or miss. It seems the kitchen gets super behind whether the dining room is busy or not. I enjoy 75 cent wing night on Wednesdays. My favorite sauce is their bee sting but I usually ask for extra bee sting because their wings aren't very saucy. They have great homemade ranch for dipping. I also enjoy their pretzel bites, tavern salad, grilled chicken sandwich, and cheese sticks. They have some great servers like Alex, JB, and Chloe who are very attentive and friendly. I'd honestly say their is only one bad server and as much as I want to mention her name I won't. Lots of TVS and large screens so it's a perfect place to watch a game. I've watched two Superbowls here and they do a great job with their buffet. They have recently hired two managers and things seem to be going great! read more

This is not your typical bar/pub/tavern food because you can literally get it all and today I chose their Low Country Shrimp and Grits. I promise you they are by far the best I've had, so creamy, loaded with everything and flavorful and fulfilling. My only gripe was that the Server only came to the table to take my order and then to give me my check (but of course to ask if I needed anything else. This place is a sports bar through and through. Ample seating that can accommodate large families. The food definitely tastes in house made. My mozz triangles didn't taste frozen, but they did taste like fish. Maybe someone used the same flour? It happens, you know, nobody's perfect. The patrons that frequent this establishment are definitely of open palm families. So, if you're not comfortable being surrounded on all ends, you may rethink this place. The smoke house burger was great if you dont expect a temperature other than well done. Apple crunch dessert consisted of a crumble made in-house that tasted of being uncovered in someone's refrigerator overnight, topped with ice cream that comes out of a bag. But if you like your tequilas, they do have a decent selection. For a casual night with the family or just want to watch three games at once at the bar while you drown in a tequila, you probably can't pronounce cause you're too busy choking on a crispy burger. My only reason for a 4 star is I ordered my wings charred and they were way too burnt on one side like BURNT. Other than that our experience was really great. Our waitress Jordan took care of us all! The food came out exactly how we ordered. The pretzel bites were soft and delicious. They come with a side of cheese however it's best for double dipping as the original shell is so buttery the cheese won't stick to it. We also recommend asking for a side of regular mustard. Chefs kiss!! I ordered my wings half honey bee half lemon pepper. The honey bee were burnt due to too much grill time but they were enjoyable. Next time I might just order them regular style. This is my second and last visit. Food is below average- hard to screw up a Cobb salad and a Carolina Cheese steak sandwich but after a 45 minute wait it arrived. We had tow ask for utensils and were told we couldn't have a knife because a big party was using them. Took 15 minutes to get a can of PBR.
