Truly a Hidden Gem! Came to this shop to sell a some of my old games sitting around collecting dust. Walking in was a lovely blast from the past. This store has a huge selection of classic to modern games, consoles, and more. It was really cool seeing all these classic games I had from my childhood. I was helped out by the owner, Punky, who's a very nice guy and provided excellent customer service. I came in with a number in mind that I wanted for my games and walked out satifisfied. Value wise, I know you can sell your stuff to other parties, but you risk getting scammed/having uncomfortable interactions with strangers or getting super lowballed by chains like game stop. I didn't have that experience here. Highly recommend checking out this shop if youre ever in there area! PS. They've got a old school arcade cabinet thats free to play! The guy with the long hair helped me. I get the business and would be happy just accepting 50% of my games. Brother low balled me so hard I was flabbergasted. I brought 6 high end titles and was offered like 120 cash. I went on offer up and 50% myself and sold 4 games for $150. I saved 2 games and got more from selling from them. I get they need to make money. I get they have overhead. More than that is robbery. To me, %50 is reasonable. Last time I'm shopping here. read more

Upon walking in, I pass by the arcade cabinets and pinball machines before I see all the used games that were cleaned and sealed. Prices are very reasonable and the customer service is great. At no point did I feel pressured or mislead about anything here, and I absolutely would return to see what retro game consoles they get next. I found Hidden Gems by accident. I was really impressed after my first visit and have been back a few times since. The guy who runs the place is super nice and helpful with any and all questions. The store is well stocked with games and accessories across all retro systems. There's a good selection of gaming related knick knacks for collectors and gift giving. I've gone back a few times to have discs resurfaced. Hidden Gems charges 4 dollars a disc, which seems steep, but they have an industrial machine and actually know how to properly restore a disc unlike other places that I've been to. They stand behind their disc resurfacing. If there's something wrong then just take it back and talk to them. Trust me, it's worth it. In addition to the great selection and friendly service, the thing that keeps me coming back are the fair prices. I've been to way too many stores who charge on the high end. Sure Hidden Gems does charge high prices for rarer items, but most of the retro games they have are close to market value. read more

This place hikes up the prices like crazy and if you trade in your games they only give 40 percent of what it's worth. Then they sell it for 3 to 4 times what they gave you for the trade in. The store doesn't even help out gamers. I was looking for just a dongle for the GameCube and they couldn't separate it from the controller. I went to RETRO GAMES PLUS and they did me the solid of picking any of the 4 dongles they had. And they even separated it from the controller. I do recommend to support mom and pop shops but not if they are not considering the customer. If you end up on buying or selling I recommend RETRO GAMES PLUS. The prices are fair and they help the gaming community as well. Only 10 mins away but worth the drive. This place is meh. read more

More on the retro binge and the mrs found another gem. if you're into 7th gen and prior then you're in for a treat! Walked in and immediately loved the selection and vibe. Everything from classics in relatively mint condition to current gen was on sale and the collectibles and arcade machines were crazy. Prices were at and mostly below market value (especially for the consoles with most I couldn't find anywhere else) and I loved how the guy was meticulous in making sure my copies were cleaned and presentable before purchase. This place is truly a sleeper given that no one was here except for the animal hospital next door and it deserves more love. Will be a repeat customer every time I can! read more

The owner has gone above and beyond when it came to fixing my N64. He tried EVERYTHING, then tried something I would never have guessed to be the issue (the power pack) Aside from that, the selection of games is really great - regardless of console - they have game guides (growing up in the 90's and gaming through the 2000's, I *had* a wonderful collection, so it's nice to be able to get them back!) Not only has the owner gone above and beyond, but he is so kind and not to mention knowledgable. Punky (the owner) and his staff are always very friendly and ready to help you find exactly what you're looking for, or make some great recommendations. I really appreciate that Hidden Gem also offers battery replacements for older handheld games. They helped revive many of my old GBA/GBC titles so they play like new again. They post often on Instagram and are constantly getting new inventory, including many hard-to-find titles. Many times throughout the year they'll also host events for the community to enjoy. Given that there aren't many shops like this in the area, it's worth supporting a small business so they can stick around for years to come. read more

My S.O absolutely loves the store. The owner has actually learned my S.O name which I think is very sweet but just overall in general the store it's clean nice, It's organized everything's got prices on it so you don't have to ask a million times like some other video game stores. My number one thing about this store is the environment in general most other video game stores that I've been to with my S.O I don't always feel comfortable in and get weird looks but I don't feel that at this store and I feel so comfortable that I would even voluntarily go in there without my S.O and feel safe still I can't say that for most other video game stores I've been into in this area. We've been going there for about a year and we hope there are many more years to come. They have a great selection of video game and even some rare stuff too. read more

I have been to this store a good number of times, mostly to see if I still had 1st place in Metal Slug 2(IMJ). This place is everything that I've wanted in a video game store. Nostalgia on display and to buy, video game music always playing in the back ground. Staff that is knowledgeable and will help you find any games that you have been looking for. Prices are fair considering the history in there and rarities. It does seem like a cool place to hang out as well, sadly, even though I've have several conversations with the staff, I never asked them for their names.
