Wow games is such a rip off of a store. I asked how they priced games since every game is priced above market value and the worker said, "we price them at what we think they are worth". This place is a scam and i would stay away from it. There mystery boxes they sell are full of broken controllers and game discs. I bought a mystery box and it contained 4 games that all dont work and for some reason and a fine china tea set. Why is there a tea set in a video game store mystery box. There was also a fake pack of pokemon cards in the mystery box. I would say half of the games are reproductions and they are asking for normal price. already contacted Better Business Bureau for all the fake merchandise they sell. They also had me open the mystery box in the store so they could GET THE BOX BACK. This place is a scam don't do business here. read more

Super awful I bought an extension pack for my n64 it did not work and also it was a complete knock off . they did not want to refund me my $77.86 instead they wanted to give me store credit for items that they only paid dollars for!!! super awful will never ever go there again always will refer anybody to go to GameStop. Many systems are over market value. And Clerks aren't engaging. Came in on day to check it out. I asked the 2 clerks a question about 2 handheld consoles on pricing. They answering me as if they wanted me to just go away and not engage in a conversation. They were busy trying to see what to order of food on the computer. I tried to trade a gba sp for a brick version and wario land 2, the guy had to call his boss to see if they could, and they couldnt for some reason, it was perfectly fine the only thing wrong was a little line and some scratches outside, the stuff is super overpriced, the games are trash, and improve your game selection, btw they didnt want it even though i saw some SCREENS that were scratched ALOT and only the outside material was scratched on mine read more

I read my of the reviews and checked the prices. The reason why games are not fairly priced or expensive is due to the value and rare games. Many stores I have visited because many collectors are searching for vintage games like playstation and nintendo. There is a market and business for them. The employees are kind and knowledgeable. There will always be pros and cons with game stores. For example, Gamestop will have certain games price lower, but will not the original case with it and most of time. Wow games will have the original case and cover. They will have the game on hand. Again, Wow games is not your typical game stores. if you're not a collector or treasure vintage games this is not the place to go to put negative feedback or reviews. Just go to other retailer store if you are looking for current games. read more

Update: the boss refused to refund me or even speak with me. I'm now having to file a fraud claim with my bank for being sold counterfeit merchandise. I reviewed other games on their shelf, 50% were clear fakes upon inspection. I was sold a fake Nintendo DS cartridge of The Phantom Hourglass. I was super excited when I found it, and thought it was reasonably priced in its new condition (it still had Nintendo plastic wrap around it). When I booted it up, it seemed like it would work. Then, when I tried to save for the first time the game crashed. And then it crashed again. My husband looked at the cartridge and sure enough, the design was faked. You can tell due to the "Nintendo" font on the back, most noticeably the letter o. I'll be going back to return it and will be even more upset if I'm not refunded. I can't believe they don't check the authenticity of what they're selling first. read more

I understand why it's called wow games... because WOW what a RIP off. Stay far far away. Some games that should be $2 are $60. N64 that you can get online for $100 is $280. Gameboy can get online for $50 is $190. This place is such a scam it's sad that places do this & get away with it. Don't waste you're money here, just go online or somewhere more affordable do you're research first before buying anything from here. They will try to lie & respond by saying they negotiate on there prices & they "don't have time" to change them what a sorry excuse. They still won't negotiate there way over priced things in person. Updating to respond to the reply: Your worker was absolutely great, I wanted to make sure I gave props, it's the holidays and it was crazy busy so I get it, either way I'll be back again! Went by today and found some great games fairly priced as far as I can tell. There was only one person working and he was helpful, but busy, unfortunately because of that it was kinda hard to get him to open the cases to look at games, and because the prices aren't the same listed on the games it was a long affair to find out prices. That said the games I found were fairly priced! I want to note to the rep responding to people, game boss has an extremely tarnished name, and a lot of those games have the stickers from that store on them, they were known for selling fake games at the same price or more than legit games, so I really hope WOW isn't following in those footsteps. I highly suggest you guys take some time after the holiday season to clear out all those stickers to avoid any further confusion. I want to give five stars, as the store was great, but the source material of a bunch of the games is a bit concerning still. Hopefully you can all sort it out as you find the time! read more

So to start with, I didn't experience any of the rudeness that other people experienced. Person working there when I came in was super friendly and helpful. They had a pretty good selection and it was organized very well. I didn't check the prices on everything, but the prices I did see weren't egregious or anything. A LITTLE more than what you'll see on pricecharting, but you also get the benefit of seeing the game in person, knowing what you're getting, and not paying for delivery. Couple of notes -They had bootlegs and repros mixed in with regular games. I get and accept that they are common in the retro space, and the person working did mention that one of the games I was looking at was a repro, but they should be clearly labeled and separate from the regular games. -A LOT of stuff didn't have visible prices (Mostly stuff in the cases). I could ask, but I also shouldn't need to (and I'm not going to) take the time to ask an employee the price for the majority of stuff in the store that I was interested in. -The disc for the game I got was filthy. It worked, and I was able to clean it, but it would have been nice if it was clean when I got it. read more

Purchased a game for my son one day. It was amazing. Great priced. We went back and got him another game and controller. Was told they both worked. Well got home and the game was covered in who knows what but i got it cleaned and it's fine, but the controller doesn't work. We overpaid for it but having a son who's autistic didn't quite understand we should have waited and ordered online for a better price. We went and got it for him anyways and well, surprise it doesn't work. There's no phone numbers to contact anyone. It's a 45 min drive so i don't want to drive all the way down there to be told they won't return. Would be nice if there was a way to contact someone! The receipts aren't itemized so not sure how they will even determine what they charged me. Seems we got ripped off. read more

Don't buy games here if you're not careful they up charge you. Today I found 2 games I was interested in. One was 19.99 and the other was 7.95 but once he was checking me out at the register my total magically came out to 45.00 plus tax and I asked him how my total came out to that he responded with my system rings the 7.95 game as 19.99 and promptly told him are your prices not accurate? He then told me games will suddenly be more if the market affects them on their system. Go elsewhere to buy your games they will rip you off if you don't check carefully. The selection at this store is average but the issue with this store is the prices of each game. The games are priced near their original retail price. At first I thought this to be a mistake but the let me know that that is the price. For example, I bought Last Of Us for the PS3 for $20 when it is selling on eBay for between $8 to $15. The game case was not even complete nor was the case in a good condition. All in all, the store manager should update the price to meet current market value. read more

Actual scam of a store, went in to buy a 2ds for my cousin and found some, they were above market price by a pretty big amount being around 170$ when usually it is around 130$ but since it was close to Christmas I decided to buy it anyway since I couldn't find any anywhere else. On top of that it was scratched and the analog stick was missing but I thought it could easily be repaired. But once I opened the back to replace the analog stick the inside was beyond repairable and pieces was falling off of it constantly. I have repaired multiple 3ds and 2ds for my friends and family and have never seen one this bad. Even worse I couldn't return it due to them having an all sales are final policy. Overall store is overpriced and they don't check if there own products are in working conditions. read more

Second time I have come into the store and it always has excellent costumer service. I bought a shell protector for my DS Lite (had since I was in elementary now I'm in college) since everytime I open the console it has the possibility of breaking. Staff member looked for a shell protector for the different variations of the ds since I have another model. Couldn't find one however, I appreciate the search. Also the associate went above and beyond looking for a transformers game. Sadly it wasn't in the system we were looking for. However the associate went above and beyond looking for the game for me. I will come back because of the great customer service that I have received in my first two visits. read more
