There are no activities, not allowed to go outside, no separation from ambulatory patients from skilled nursing patients. Food is outdated and free. That's what they eat.. my mom has no where else to go. Don't have doctor for facility. I've seen one nurse. Staff steals. I've worked in lots of different skilled nursing. People who are bed bound just are left in bed. They are human and should be dressed and put in comfy their chair and have garden to sit in. It's more or less a place you're left to. Die at. My mom can walk but is declining because all she does is sit there. I would not recommend this facility for my loved one. Worse I've seen. I can't get her out because I'm not power of attorney. We moved my uncle into Hidden Glenn Senior Living in April 2025 and were so grateful we did. He was 94 years-old with advancing dementia and could no longer live independently. It was a difficult decision, but the Executive Director, Bree, and her team made the entire process easier. My uncle was a man of limited means, so finding an assisted living facility with memory care that worked within his budget was a lifesaver. We even saw a dramatic improvement in his overall health a few short weeks after he moved in. In fact, he raved about how good the food was (not something I expected to hear from someone in a care facility!). It was such a Godsend to know my uncle was being looked after and cared for 24/7. The facility was well maintained and staffed for the duration of my uncle's stay (he recently passed away.). I have to give a special call-out to Bree. She was amazing from the first moment we talked over the phone. In fact, after speaking with her and visiting the facility, I knew Hidden Glenn would be the right place for my uncle. Bree even helped me with the application and approval process while she was on vacation. Her dedication and empathy for our situation was amazing and so appreciated. We also worked closely with two of the nurses, Veronica and May, who were both stellar. May even took the time to purchase and read a book that was written many years ago about my uncle just so she could gain some additional insight into the man and his history. Talk about going above and beyond! I definitely recommend Hidden Glenn. I also can't thank Bree, May, Veronica and the entire staff enough for their help, responsiveness, and kind care of my uncle at the end of his life. read more

my mom has resided here since covid times.. it was so tough to place her during that time .. (all placements anywhere were tough during covid!) BUT we couldn't be happier we did! Bree and her staff run a tight well oiled home!! Bree has a lot of experience and runs things very organized and professional!! i say home because it's not facility feeling at all.. the homes house 12-14 residents.. they share a room but each has privacy the way the rooms are set up and each have their own closet space.. the homes are always spotless, smell of tasty cooking and never foul smelling odors or medicine like! my mom is always clean and very well put together and never sitting in soiled pants.. the crew treats all like their "abuelitas/abuelitos".. so special with cute nicknames and my mom is even picking up some spanish words.. the nursing staff is very active in each residents care routine and each house facilitates 2 24/7 caregivers as well.. my mom has been on hospice off/on over the last(almost) 5 years and she doesn't move from her usual room.. hospice comes to her.. (huge)! also they have drs on staff who make the rounds. my mom has always felt she's been in "her" home as to how the house is set up.. huge kitchen with tables, beautiful living room with plenty of seating for all and flat screen tv.. very bright and airy.. there is a game room to read books,do puzzles/crafts and coloring etc and they play bingo most mornings.. we couldn't be happier with the care and love mom receives at Hidden Glen.. dementia is an awful disease but we could NOT have placed mom at a better spot!! this place understands dementia!! and then some!! thank you Bree and staff.. you are a life saver after things got too hard for myself and husband to care for mom.. i will recommend Hidden Glen to anyone hands down! I regularly see my mom at least once a week I come unannounced and have never seen anything that seems wrong. They have a very good routine and stick to it.! read more

The Executive director Bree is absolutely horrendous at her job and sets a bad taste in health care and hospital facilities. There Are great nurses that work there and who are so commendable for their work and care with the patients including my grandma. But there is a nurse called MAY! She is verbally abusive just like BREE! And the video I will be making about this place will expose them for the insufferable people they are. They should be caring for the elderly and sick and not about being greedy and horrible to the families that visit their loved ones there. Head management should be ashamed of the reviews that call out BREE and MAY! because they have not done anything about it. I'm sure a video that reaches thousands of people will get the attention and get them a proper follow up from district management or their PR team at least. I'm not calling for their jobs to be lost. I'm calling for a TRAINING because they don't have what it takes to care for people. And if they aren't able to learn then it's really a shame. They have to change how they nurse and manage. The office staff at oak hill are very rude and disrespectful. They seem to have staff screen calls. My Brother N law is there and isn't to happy. They serve soup to patients every day. The office experience is very unprofessional and rude especially Bree Lofvendahl the executive director. care quality is poor and rude as well which doesn't surprise me since the rudeness comes from the office manager. I would not put my loved one here my mom was at this facility for 2 years the last year was horrible the staff was rude to my mom, but she couldn't explain to me what exactly was going on because she has dementia. My mom's roommate's daughter told me my mom told her how rude the girls were to her they were rude to me as well when I would visit. May was nice she is LVN she's the only one that smiles when you arrive to visit, and helpful May deserves gold star and a raise. My mom is in a much better place now and I can sleep better at night. Oak Hill Residential gets and A+ in every area Possible. Nursing, cleanliness, food and atmosphere and price. Five homes in a park like setting. This is not facility it's a home! The week my father, Clifford Favorite passed (Jan. 8th), his wedding ring (that he wore everyday for 59 years) went missing in either Vista or the Escondido area. My mother is diagnosed with Alzheimer and dementia. Experiencing a rapid progression of the stages, we got a point where we realized It was becoming overly challenging for the family to take care of her. We got to a point where our love and care could no longer suffice to cope with her situation without endangering our mental health and our relationships. We got to a point where we realized that we do not have the right tools or the necessary preparation to deal with this type of situation. Making the decision to integrate her in an assisted Home was the hardest thing as a family we had to face. We started off at a large home for approximately 100 residents, but upon entering I quickly felt like it would not be the best option for my mother to live in; I imagined her walking in confusion through the corridors and ultimately my heart told me to keep moving forward and seek another home. Coincidently, there was no vacancy so in turn, they recommended Oak Hill. Later that day, we were standing at their front doors. When I arrived at the place, the simple nature of a small, tight knit community distinguished by the family style residences, my heart immediately jumped in curiosity and told me enter and explore the home. Explore the halla where my mother would walk through asking myself: does she have a living room? Can she easily walk to the dining room and the kitchen? Is this a place that she could walk around as if she were in her own house? Slowly but surely, I pictured her effortlessly adapting to this home as the simple and warm setting, illuminated an easy going transition for her and us. We were right. The process to start was gracefully simple and fast, from working with the office, to speaking with the nurses and the caretakers, a feeling of comfort grew in us and the confidence that my mother would be in good hands. They suggested minimizing the amount of contact with her for a couple weeks as an adaptation for our mother and for us. My first visit was spectacular: I had not seen her so happy and so calm in years! We were told compliments from all the girls who accompany her and take care of her! My heart was jumping with joy to see my mother so well and so happy! I understand that employees are paid to do that work, but they do not get extra pay for being sweet and kind to the people that live there, including my mother. I would highly recommend oak hill - the staff takes care of my dad as if he were their family . Any time I had a question or dad needed attention with certain things I could mention to social work or admin and they would take care of the situation immediately. My dad loves the food and they have a variety of activities for the residence to participate in . I highly recommend this community. The care and environment are at the top! The team are very passionate about what they do and go above and beyond. Residents always appear to be well taken care of, fresh smell of food cooking and it has to be one of the cleanest communities. I would not recommend this place. They seem nice at first but their care is poor. The workers do not speak English. They rush patients into meals and rush them back to their beds as they are on a schedule. My loved one died in 2 weeks after arriving. I regret putting him here. read more

The staff does not speak English, they will with hold water, let patient fall out of bed and will not come to put them back and allow the patient to crawl around the floor under other residents beds. He has all types of issues and needs full time help with everyday living. They have good caring helpers and a great staff of nurses that help my dad daily. They take care of all his medications and they even have a Doctor that comes to the facility to take care of all the loved one's needs. They gave our dad great services in a difficult situation. The facility was clean and well kept. Our dad was always shaved, bathed and seemed very content. Oak Hill Residential is staffed with angels! After our mom passed and we were no longer able to care for my father at home due to his Alzheimer's Disease, we moved him into a very expensive facility in Sabre Springs. While that place was clean and smelled like cookies, the care left A LOT to be desired. We continuously struggled with the staff to keep our dad clean, without bedsores, and to stop overmedicating him. Shortly after moving in there, our dad fell and broke his hip at that facility. A friend suggested we consider moving our dad to Oak Hill. We immediately met with John, Fie and the whole Oak Hill Family one day, and had him moved in within a week. I cannot express enough our gratitude to each and every member of the Oak Hill Staff. Our dad lived at Oak Hill for 3 years. I can honestly say that in all that time, I never had a single concern or complaint. The nursing staff and all the girls treated my dad as if he was their own father. A few times I walked in unannounced and saw one of the girls rubbing his scalp so he would calm down and relax. It worked... and it made me cry. I thought I was the only one who new that trick! They knew my dad, loved my dad, and treated him with the dignity and respect he deserved. There truly Is no better place for your loved ones to live than Oak Hill Residential! read more

My 93 year old father recently passed away at Oak Hill Residential. We placed him in Oak Hill 7 weeks earlier (on New Year's eve). He suffered from dementia and congestive heart failure. My mother -- who was married to him for 72 years and had cared for him up to this point -- was very much opposed to this move but too exhausted to care for him any longer. My husband and I toured local care facilities and believed Oak Hill to be the best option. Fortunately, we were correct. We found the care my father received to be exceptional. The nurses (and Fie in particular) demonstrated true concern about his care and medications. He was always clean shaven, well manicured and neatly dressed. The facility itself was very tidy. Overall the staff were extremely professional as well as very sensitive -- and helped us through a very difficult time. Quite amazing for a non-profit. I would recommend this facility to others without hesitation. read more
