When it was time to take that next step and her family needed to choose the best option for a memory care facility their search finally ended when they found Silverado Memory Care in Escondido. Now that my dear friend has been living there she is so happy every time we come visit her. We just came to see her last night and she was relaxed while watching a funny movie with other residents. She and some of the others were laughing out loud about this particular movie. Recently one of her daughters attended one of their many fun events when they had an Elvis impersonator. I saw the pictures and could tell they had an amazing time! They were dancing and singing and interacting with "Elvis." Every time we have popped in for a visit and no matter what time of day or night everyone seems happy and well cared for. We have had good experiences with everyone that works there. They have all been kind, warm, friendly and helpful. My dear friend loves living there. She is at a stage of Alzheimer's where she has a need for a lot of wandering and walking and she is free to do so at this facility. She can also go outside in their beautiful yard and enjoy some sun and fresh air. I am grateful we can pop in to see her there anytime and know she is happy and doing so well. I am tearing up wrapping up this review because I am so grateful.

As his health declined, the staff remained patient and kind. During my regular visits, I never saw or heard a caregiver speak sharply to any resident. Despite his limitations, they always tried to include him in activities and keep him engaged. Although it is a fairly large facility, the staff genuinely seemed to know all the residents by name. Overall, I was very happy with the care he received.

Notably, Julie was invaluable in helping us illuminate an injury missed by the hospital and address it. Beyond that, she was simply an awesome human. The place is clean and there seems to be a lot of activities available. I've eaten at their dining hall a few times, and it's pretty good. Smaller portions. You can always order more food. Note that you (family members) get free food the first week of your relatives' stay. Then you have to buy a food ticked at the front desk. It's not located in a sketchy part of Escondido, but it's also next to a busy street. Staff members seem to know everyone's name by heart.

I hope this helps you decide on the care for your parents. It's not an easy job and both Vista Del Lago and Felicita Vida were great help when we needed assistance.

We moved my uncle into Hidden Glenn Senior Living in April 2025 and were so grateful we did. He was…read more94 years-old with advancing dementia and could no longer live independently. It was a difficult decision, but the Executive Director, Bree, and her team made the entire process easier. My uncle was a man of limited means, so finding an assisted living facility with memory care that worked within his budget was a lifesaver. We even saw a dramatic improvement in his overall health a few short weeks after he moved in. In fact, he raved about how good the food was (not something I expected to hear from someone in a care facility!). It was such a Godsend to know my uncle was being looked after and cared for 24/7. The facility was well maintained and staffed for the duration of my uncle's stay (he recently passed away.). I have to give a special call-out to Bree. She was amazing from the first moment we talked over the phone. In fact, after speaking with her and visiting the facility, I knew Hidden Glenn would be the right place for my uncle. Bree even helped me with the application and approval process while she was on vacation. Her dedication and empathy for our situation was amazing and so appreciated. We also worked closely with two of the nurses, Veronica and May, who were both stellar. May even took the time to purchase and read a book that was written many years ago about my uncle just so she could gain some additional insight into the man and his history. Talk about going above and beyond! I definitely recommend Hidden Glenn. I also can't thank Bree, May, Veronica and the entire staff enough for their help, responsiveness, and kind care of my uncle at the end of his life.
