It's not located in a sketchy part of Escondido, but it's also next to a busy street. Staff members seem to know everyone's name by heart.

The amazing views, even from her small, but very comfortable private room, were spectacular, and with gracious covered patios on three sides of the home, she spent a great deal of time out in the fresh air, watching all the birds that flocked to the many bird feeders, enjoying the vast vistas (you can see for 20 miles in every direction), and doing activities on the large outdoor table. Maria and her staff always celebrated birthdays and holidays with lots of fanfare, and my mom received personal attention, like getting her nails painted or makeup done. Visiting her there was always comfortable and inviting. We were very lucky to find such a loving and beautiful place for my mother, once we could no longer care for her ourselves.

Her memory is not as good as it used to be and she needs extra help. This location has services that allow her to remain if her memory continues to diminish. Atria's staff has been wonderful, patient and caring. I've been trying to convince my mom to move for the past 4 years and she literally told me today that she is so happy she made the move. The entire staff aided in the transition, Glen, Darla, Sophia and Kimi. And now, Mom is happy and we feel comforted knowing she has care 24/7 if needed. I recently spent 3 days at Atria sitting with my Mom for 4-5 hours each day and was able to see how the staff interacts with all residents. They have so much patience and always a kind word but also are obviously well schooled in the services they provided. There was a doctor that would come by and see my mother at the home as opposed to having me drive her to see a doctor. My mother is lactose intolerant and the caregivers specially prepared meals just for her and made sure she received her medications on time. I would recommend Sapphire Pacific to anybody considering a board and care home or an assisted living. This was the best decision we could have ever made for my mother.
