We were here for a meeting in their clubhouse. What a fabulous venue! This Hidden Mountain Resort Clubhouse is a hidden gem. The parking is ample, the kitchen area is clean and accessible, and the chairs are comfortable. While we were here (12.1.22), the clubhouse was decked out for Christmas. The fireplace was lit and it was warm and inviting. We loved the elk antler chandelier, or, as Husband dubbed it, the horny lights. A piano was near the bathroom, but no one used it. We did use the bathrooms - Husband said his was icy cold but women's was warm. As for the food, the Clubhouse has it catered for us. It was fresh fruit, a large selection of cheeses and pastries, and bagels with different toppings available. With over 90 attendees, I snapped a photo of what was left. Not much!

This two bedroom Salute to Freedom has lots of flare. American flags and the like all around. Two kings beds goes along way for my family and I. Hot tub is nice!!! This is a Military friendly location. 4001 is the number of this quaint cabin.

I visited Hidden Mountain Resort for 5 days. This was my first cabin experience. I rented a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 2 living rooms, hot tub, pool table, ping pong table, full kitchen and cookware. The cabin was clean and the decorations was very nice. The location of the cabins are off the beaten path and was quite. I rarely seen people despite the many vehicles parked. I really engaged cooking out and found the resort to be extremely relaxing. My only issue is the driving the hills and winding paths at the resort. I found it to be scary. I will be visiting Hidden Mountain Resort next year.

When we arrived we felt welcomed and the area was stunning. However, our cabin was about 7 miles away from the main office. We didn't feel our cabin was in any part of a gated resort area. Our cabin was difficult to find and the roads are very narrow. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was terrible, low water pressure and water temp was only warm not hot. Not much outdoor area to have outdoor activities. We won't be back. The Apple Valley Restaurant near by was recommended. We went there for dinner and after 10 minutes of being ignored we left.

We recently rented cabin 4168, "Mountain Breeze" for our 2021 Christmas in the Smokies with family. The cabin has a nice layout and even a pool, which is nice for a summer stay. However, there are some things that need to be addressed in this cabin. The kitchen has a "rustic shabby chic" feel, the granite countertops are beautiful, but the cabinets are greasy and dirty; the kitchen rug is a cloth rug and very stained and filthy. Not something you want to see in a place you prepare and eat food. The back deck patio is filled with fake plastic plants and there is dust and pollen everywhere. If you have outdoor allergies, avoid this area altogether! The basement bathroom door doesn't latch and will not lock. We had to prop something against the door when we used it. Both Christmas trees were barely lit; we paid for a nice holiday experience, at the very least, the Christmas trees should have working lights. The basement shower was gross and many surfaces had dust. Looked like things hadn't been touched in a while. The cabin needs some updated decor and features. The biggest issue is that the main level bathroom leaks and comes through the floor onto the basement bedroom. The bed is up against the wall, so if you stay here I would advise pulling the bed out, otherwise the bed will get soaked. We couldn't use our bed the first night and had to sleep on the basement floor. We contacted the guest services desk on the morning of 12/24/21 to notify them of the leak and wet bed. A repairman did come in the morning, however the leak wasn't fixed and by the afternoon, the bed was soaked yet again. We called again in the afternoon, a different repairman came and told us that nothing could be done; the water would need to completely leak out and that could be an undetermined amount of time. We had to pull the bed from the wall in order to avoid a wet bed. We made two (2) repair calls and notified the front desk staff at checkout, but they could have cared less. When we checked out on 12/27/21, we encountered the most rude lady after we shared the problems with the leak. We inquired about a credit because we were unable to use a bedroom for one of the four nights that we stayed. A bedroom that we had PAID in full. Her reply was not, "I'm so sorry" or any type of compassion or customer kindness but instead she told my husband and I what she WAS NOT going to do. She proceeded to ask us if we were able to use the bed the other nights, which we replied, "Yes". She was implying that we used the bed, so we should be satisfied. She was cold, beyond rude and not very Christian-like. All of the front desk staff with the exception of her, were wonderful. I contacted upper management via email and was told by the Vice President of Operations that they DO NOT refund any money. BEWARE! When you rent at Hidden Mountain, if anything goes wrong in your cabin you WILL NOT be credited or refunded. Cabins are "AS-IS". One more thing that was never mentioned to us is the ongoing construction. There are currently several new cabins being built, which is nice, but that would have been good information to know prior to renting. Depending on which cabin your rent, just know that if you plan on a morning sit on the porch to sip your coffee or tea, or for meditation, that you will not hear birds chirping or rustling leaves, but instead chainsaws, hammers pounding and large mobile powered machines. We will not ever be returning to Hidden Mountain. We are taking our business elsewhere!

If I could give a zero star I would. This cabin was infested with roaches. We came for a baseball tournament and our whole team stayed for 6 nights. On night one I found a roach running across my tv. When I killed it and called the front office I was told it was probably a "wood roach" and most likely came in while I was unloading the car. I was told to they would come to spray in the morning. The next day they did come and spray but I found another roach that next night. I was told then that they seem to come out after a spray. (Which made no sense if it came in while I was unloading the car) the 3rd night when I came home from dinner I opened the door to find roaches on my counter on and our food. When I called the front desk they said they would move me to another cabin and I could leave a refund me the next morning. When I went into the office the next day the woman working told me she would refund me only for that day and that I would have to be out of the cabin by 11am (it was 10:42 at that time) or no refund would be issued. So we stayed at the new cabin which also had roaches. Although I enjoyed the property and time with my sons team the place is not clean and roaches in the rooms can be taken care of but the owners and management do not care. They blew me off and never even offered to compensate me for the horrible experience I had there. We were told it's because we are in the woods. NO! It's because your cabins are filthy. We will never return to this place again and I suggest no one else does either of bugs are a problem for you.

The offending wreath, to lend credibility to my review. In fairness, I'm not a big wreath fan from the get go.

Nice amenities, it's more of a suburban gated cabin subdivision. More privacy than many resorts, and far less than what I think of when I think "secluded mountain cabin." Super easy and efficient check-in process. There's a community pool with a couple of smaller cold soaking pools. The whole place is very nicely landscaped and appears well-maintained. The cabin where we stayed, "Pretty Lady," is accessible by the narrow (and I mean narrow) winding road with a few steep sections in the "East" part of the properties. It's kinda hairy when you meet an oncoming vehicle on that road which is like meeting a car on your own driveway. The hottub would've been better had the jets worked. That was easily remedied by soaking in the indoor tub with fully functional jets. Tasteful decor (except for that monstrosity of a wreath hanging over the tub!), cozy and all modern amenities. If you forget something, grocery and chain-hell "we sell everything" stores are minutes away. You'll have towels, a few trash bags, and can definitely forego a trip to the store before you take inventory once. Despite the proximity, your nearest neighboring cabin may be a few feet away, they have taken measures to allow enough privacy that skinny dipping is possible, and you don't worry that the family from Illinois staying next door will see you if you want to wear your SpongeBob pajamas. I mean, if you brought them. Or your Ewok underoos. Whatever. Book with confidence, this place is legit. It would be fun to have a family reunion here. Everyone could meet in Aunt Gert's cabin for breakfast and stay just long enough to help clean up but not long enough to hear your crazy Uncle review all his concerns about the state of the union and handbaskets for the third time before you attend to some pressing matter in your own cabin a few doors down. You know, like you do. Seems that a feller could also "test drive" an investment property for a week before closing on a deal. You know, if that feller were so inclined. 2016 Update. Cabin "Above and Beyond" is sweet! Parking is tight, and the view isn't much to brag about, but it's a really nice cabin, tastefully appointed, and you could easily crash here with 3-5 good travellers and be glad that you found this place. It's quiet, ther afternoon lighting, dappled through the deciduous canopy, is pretty amazing.

From the start, the experience was off-putting. At check-in, the young man at the front desk was unfriendly and came across as rude. Unfortunately, things only got worse once we arrived at the cabin (Above Walden's Creek), which is in serious need of repairs and a deep cleaning. Within the first hour, we realized the cabin was far below acceptable standards. It was filthy. The shower liners had mold, the A/C was not working, the washer and dryer did not function properly, and the furniture was in poor condition. Toilets and sinks were bubbling and backing up, nails were sticking up out of the floors, and tongue-and-groove ceiling planks were popping off in at least three areas. Worst of all, there were roaches and bugs throughout the cabin. We contacted Cabins USA multiple times. While they sent people out on a couple of occasions, nothing was actually resolved. I would rather stay outdoors than ever rent another cabin from Cabins USA. Cabins USA, please do not bother contacting us, no response can undo the horrible experience we had. Update: Tori from Cabins USA followed up regarding the issues with our cabin. He was very apologetic and worked to make things right, which we appreciated.

The cabin does not provide basics so do not expect coffee packs or salt for cooking. The only items available are dining wear, everything else must be supplied by the visitor. So, for the stay, our stay was subpar. All the issues listed below were reported during the stay, but no response or corrective action was received. We left a day early and stayed near the airport for a day of comfort. Here are a few of the highlights. -The single comforter provided had visible holes, indicating poor maintenance. -Dust was present on all surfaces above five feet, suggesting that cleaning was superficial and limited to only easily reachable areas. -The washing machine operated only with hot water, limiting its functionality. -The dishwasher, while operational, had melted racks, making it impractical for proper loading and cleaning. -The pool table had tears in the fabric, rendering it unsuitable for use. -The arcade game machine's joysick only functioned intermittently and supported single-player mode only. -The jacuzzi was visibly dirty, containing unknown debris and oily residue, making it unsanitary and unusable. Now for the last is actually the biggest, security: Upon check-in, the company took a photocopy of our credit card--both front and back. In 2026, this practice is outdated and poses a significant security risk. Due to the exposure of full card details, we had to cancel and replace our credit cards immediately upon returning home. This experience fell significantly below expected standards for a rental cabin, particularly in terms of upkeep, cleanliness, guest support, and data security but yes, the mountains are nice and I enjoyed the view.

Friday night we got there and had to call 3 times!! First we didn't have any hot water, then we found bugs in the beds and on the floors, the upstairs bathroom toilet didn't have a chain so it wouldn't flush, the downstairs fireplace wouldn't work, the washer barely had any water running, and the top of the cabinet had food/ trash as if someone was throwing food over the stairs. After a long car ride like that we all wanted to take a nice warm shower before bed. We have stink bugs and lady bugs in Florida so we know what they are/ look like but we searched one of the bugs and it said bed bugs... When we called we were told no body would be out until the next day and it wasn't an emergency. No matter what type of bugs who wants to sleep in a bed full of bugs after a long drive like that?? The next morning the maintenance guy came out to fix these issues and he was a very nice guy. He listened to everything we said and by the time we came back we had hot water, the toilet flushed, and the fireplace was working! We got a phone call and they said they would send someone out to clean the house but everything looked the same way as when we left that morning. We all took showers and figured why not try an enjoy it since we already spend this much money and wasn't offered to be moved to another cabin or anything. Just that they would contact us after our stay... Sunday morning we woke up with no hot water again.... They came back out and got it fixed again and then we had it the rest of our trip. Though it ended there, NOPE!! Sunday night my sister went to lay down and she had water leaking on her bed. We didn't call because it was 2 am and they would have just said it's not emergency again. She slept on the couch that night. Monday went good we stayed in because it started snowing. My boyfriend cleaned the filter to the washer because it was full of dirt and the washer started working AMAZINGLY ! Monday night my sister went to lay down again and the same thing happened once again. Tuesday morning after we packed and got ready to leave we check the room to make sure we didn't leave anything behind and it started leaking in 4 more spots!!! That bed is going to be ruined and it is going to start stinking. So to say the cabin is ready and clean is a LIE!! It looked as if the cabin hadn't been clean in forever and when we started the shower it seemed like the water hadn't been ran in a good while. The cabin and view was beautiful but to pay as much as we did to have to come to something like this is CRAZZYY!! I didn't come on vacation to clean/ have to call someone everyday because there is a new problem everyday. My mom did get a call but all they could do was refund the cleaning fee and a 25% off coupon for our next trip. Yes we are thankful for something but I feel as that just isn't enough and we will definitely not be booking with them again. And if it was the cleaning company I would definitely get a new one because they don't know how to clean. I have my own business and WOULD NEVER DO THIS TO SOMEONE!!! Absolutely fabulous more like absolutely sh***y!! I am sure I have missed something but I would definitely consider this before booking...

That was 41 years ago but we spent time up here for our 40th anniversary this year - using them exclusively since we found them about 20 years ago. I think the ownership went thru change since we've been coming here but we exclusively and use them at least 3-4 times a year. Their special for last minute trips is incredible. After 20 years, 3-4 times a year (so we've stayed in most of them), each one has always been clean as a whistle. We have figured that we have stayed with them over 60 trips. At least. We've never stayed with anyone else the past 20 years! Our favorite place is at the top of the mountain at the water tower. However three of the four we always stayed at and liked the best, all but one was burned down in the Gatlinburg Fire of 2016. It burned down to their concrete footprint. They finally got one of them rebuilt and just opened back up so we are leaving Friday to go there. It's at the very top of the mountain and you can see for miles and miles. Yet it is only 5 min from the Parkway, behind Dollywood. You would think a cabin on the to of the mountain with its incredible view would be miles from the Parkway but it's only a short 5-8 minutes. I can never praise their staff enough. They are awesome people to work with. Some of our favorite restaurants we never miss are the Applewood for bfast, Guy Fieri's restaurant and arcade ( this is awesome and relatively new and great to go because there is a Crumbl and Ice Cream shop next door that are for that sweet tooth we always seem to get worse up there), Chop House, Cherokee Grill (Gburg), Ogles Farmers Kitchen ( I think this is the name. It right close to going in for Applewood. We've just recently found this and have been multiple times), The Pottery Barn Cafe is usually our first place we hit coming into town. There is also Paula Deens, Chop House, and Johnny Carino's. This is just for starters. Stay here and you won't regret it!!!

Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by a very disappointing situation regarding the pool table. A full week after our departure, I received a request for $450 for alleged damage to the pool table felt. As I mentioned to the host, the table already showed visible signs of deterioration when we arrived. On top of that, the pool cues were not in optimal condition -- none of them had proper tip padding, which naturally increases the chances of damage over time. The table was simply not in a condition that allowed for safe or proper use. Additionally, the space where the table is located is extremely tight, making it nearly impossible to play comfortably without the cues hitting the walls or being forced into awkward angles. This setup alone creates a higher risk of wear and tear, regardless of how careful guests try to be. While I acknowledge that it's possible my son may have contributed to the existing damage, it's difficult to accept full responsibility when the equipment was already worn and not adequately maintained. What felt even more discouraging was the very high charge for something so minor, especially after how well we treated the cabin and how clean we left it. This situation left us feeling blamed rather than understood, and unfortunately it overshadowed what could have been a great experience. For these reasons, I cannot recommend Summit Cabin Rentals, and I hope future guests are treated with more fairness and consideration.

We were there for 5 nights and even though it rained a lot of the time, the view was incredible, especially the sunrises ! I would caution anyone with toddlers or young children. If they wander off, they could fall off the edge of the property and be hard to recover (the same applies to drunk adults) ! Check in was super easy, although finding the office and then the cabin was a bit confusing, but once we figured it out, it was easy to get to and from. The road leading to the cabins is very narrow, so navigating at night was a little difficult, but we made it ok. We stayed at the Cabin "Lover's Leap" It was the end of the road, so it was very relaxing and quiet. I do think they should put up a no outlet sign though, because twice we had people coming down the road, once walking down to see where they could walk and the second time had been around 9 pm when we were trying to relax, and people were outside beeping their horn. I opened the door to see what they needed, but they just yelled they were turning around. So that kind of ruined the privacy of it a little bit. I agree with another reviewer that it could've used a little updating. The shower head didn't give off much pressure and looked kind of dated. The toilet seat was unhinged on the one side. The bed was a little noisy, and could've used replacement. Otherwise the place was a great cabin! We enjoyed our time there, and all nature had to offer. I had a horrible sunburn on my legs, so I was bummed that I didn't get to enjoy the hot tub, but hubby did for a bit. We were concerned because we couldn't get the jets to turn off, but after an hour or two we realized it must've been going through a cleaning cycle. They provided you with soap, towels, and all the little comforts of home. The owner was amazingly friendly over the phone. I probably could've talked with her all day! I highly recommend this cottage as your little getaway. The thunderstorms were a bit scary, but otherwise it was nice and relaxing. Thank you so much for sharing your slice of heaven!

Beds were comfortable and my 13 year old loved sleeping on the air mattress in the loft. We enjoyed the hot tub, 60 game arcade, and pool table. Highly recommend this beautiful cabin. Owners are friendly and accommodating.

We absolutely loved our weekend stay. We did have a few issues but was quickly taken care of and…read morewas typical of a rental. First issue was the Internet. It was too fast!! This cabin actually has HIGH SPEED INTERNET!! Next issue, Netflix was available and was FREE! Moving on to the bedrooms. The beds were so bad we didn't want to get out of them in the mornings. ;) Pillows were perfect and so were the beds. It's far enough away from the busy Pigeon Forge but close enough to just hop in the car to go eat or shop. Don't forget to try out the Ziplines and tell them you're staying there, 50% off if you do. Big gas grill with two tanks of gas, yea we took advantage of that and grilled some steaks!! Real honest issues. Basement was cold but with the heaters it made it tolerant. Maybe a split A/C unit would fix it. No matter what we set the thermostat on it would always go back to 68. I even set it to 72, pressed hold but it kept changing. We were hoping to heat the basement more than it was, plus it was a bit chilly with the temps being around 32. Hot water heater is not large enough or there was a larger issue. I as well as others could not take a complete shower without the water going cold. I knew from hearing the others so I used warm water, I was only able to wash my hair and was left rinsing with cold water. When we arrived the hot tub was cold, 68 degrees. We were kinda wanting to use it but with it being that cold it wasn't gonna heat up in time. No big deal breaker though just because we couldn't use the tub. All in all it was a great stay and quit honestly the best cabin we've stayed at. Since we are local we've stay in many cabins throughout the years. We would definitely rent again and I would encourage others to do the same!
