I understand not carrying a part -- that's fine -- but taking a VIN and then not following up, and not providing a clear referral, wasted my time. If you're going to collect info for a lookup, I'd expect either a return call or a direct lead on where to get it. They came to my aid when I needed help and got me sorted and back on the road. I highly recommend the team at Coast Riders for any service, repair or accessory shopping needs for your motorcycle or scooter. Last October 14, 2024 I attempted to ride solo over 1000 miles in under 21 hours via the Nevada Desert and the Sonora Pass. Basically a fun, but serious challenge for which I prepared for by mounting new tires on my motorcycle the week before the attempt. I'm not from San Luis Obispo, but towards the end of epic my ride, I found myself stranded in Pismo Beach with a nail in my brand new rear tire after 900 miles of continuous riding over 19 hours. Yikes. At this point I was cold, wet and tired and it was 10 pm at night. I managed to limp the bike into Pismo Beach, Ca on the rear flat. I I decided to get a hotel room and sort out my problem in the morning. My rear tire was destroyed. The next morning, I found Coast Riders Powersports on the web and gave them a call to see if I could, possibly, buy a new tire and get it mounted quickly. They were great....and totally reassuring. The office manager understood my problem and my need to get my bike back on the road quickly to get home (and to get back to work!). The Coast Team had a tire in stock and gave me a great deal. They cleared their schedule and opened up a service rack to, really, a total stranger who was broken down on the road. I received the best service. So I had AAA load my bike and the AAA trailer and transported it 13 miles to the Coast Riders very nice Work Shop located in San Luis Obispo. Coast Riders took care of everything and had me back on the road in less than 4 hours after I first phoned them to ask for help. I've bought many helmets there, and get ALL my tires there. Cycle gear's policy is 24 hour turnaround for tire mounting , but if they're not busy Tony turns it immediately. We were told that the battery was incredibly corroded and we had to go get it and the battery terminal replaced ASAP. Todd went completely out of his way to help us for over an hour, show us kindness, and help us get our battery switched out even though he didn't have to. My $52.88 oil change became $65 real quick because they didn't have my filter in the service area so they had to get one off the floor. They are required to call and get a verbal consent, but that didn't happen. Even if they had called, the answer is No. The price I agreed to pay included a filter. You not having one in the service area has nothing to do with me. And the cashier that decided that it was ok to give me attitude because I didn't want to just pay it because that's how they do it was ridiculous. The auto manager ended up cancelling the original invoice and rang up a new one for the correct price. But that only happened because I held my ground. Wonder how many times this has happened. Is it really Walmart policy? If it is, someone should reconsider it.

Trish at Walmart Auto Care is a rockstar. She has the knowledge and took great care of us when we arrived - as did the tire cats. They were friendly, took time to explain things (the AAA dude stripped my lug nuts when putting on my donut - that was fun) and made sure we were GOOD before sending us back on the road. Their prices are noticeably lower than the other tire chains. If that matters, then you should bring your car here for tires and save a few bucks. Most of all, though, you'll be TAKEN CARE OF. And that's what it's really all about. Comfortable little waiting room was available and, of course, about ninety zillion items in the main store. If that ain't enough to kill time...you got too much time on your hands.

I stopped into AutoZone and met with Jose and he was trying to explain to me what the situation was. My mechanics bought the alternator at O'Reillys, but my old one had been purchased at AutoZone and if I bought the new alternator at AutoZone, it would have been free! Ultimately, Jose was very kind. He agreed to give me the warranty anyways, which was very helpful to me because the repair that I just got on my car cost over $900. This warranty really helped me. Thanks Jose!
