This place is a hidden gem in downtown Palo Alto. (don't be confused that the door says Curry Pizza) I went here with friends for the first time last week and enjoyed it so much! The drinks/cocktails are great with an extensive selection in addition to their willingness to make things not on the menu as long as they have the ingredients. We only had "bar food" (french fries, onion rings, and my friends had wings) but the menu looked really interesting. Next time I will go back for some pizza or other things on the menu. The most unexpected part of the evening happened when they brought out a "cake" made of brownies and candle in it! My friend sneakily told them it was my birthday. We were really early for a brunch meet up. So, we decided to find a place for a snack and some drinks. This place seemed like the one to go to and glad we made that call. It's a bit small but we got some seats at the bar. The wall art was beautiful. They had TVs to watch sports. Then had a good amount of brews to choose from but of course we were there for the hard stuff. We decided to order just a salad. We had a spicy chicken salad and it was really good. Really good portion too. We also had a couple martinis and cognac neat. The bartender/server was very personable and very knowledgeable about liquor. Especially tequila. A nice spot to hang. I found myself here for 2 nights straight to end the night. I sat at the bar for awesome service by the lady and gentleman bartender. A popular area for everyone. Singles, friends, families, workers and hungry-thirsty patrons. Almost everyone walked out with pizza boxes. Came here for drinks and to play a board game. Basketball game was on and our favorite team was playing, which was nice. They have numerous large TVs to watch the game. Tables were large and perfect for board game playing. Drink menu here was different from the drink menu in Redwood City and they didn't have the one drink I wanted at this location. But tried the Palo Alto old fashioned and mango margarita at this location and liked both. I will say that we have had a fair share of playing board games at local spots but the way they gave no care in the world to give us our drinks over our board game so it dripped on the game was slightly annoying (most servers we have had at other locations have been considerate enough to go around our game so our drinks don't drip on the game). So we wiped it away and next time they brought drinks we tried to grab them from their hand before they let them drip on the game. I forgot my sunglasses there. Tried to call that night and the next day but no one ever picked up. My partner went in person the next day to try to find the glasses but by then they were no where to be found. That was on me for forgetting them but it was a bummer I was never able to reach anyone by phone (I live in downtown SF, quite far away, and if it weren't for my partner going in person, I'd never have gotten an answer about the glasses). Sit at the bar. No one pays attention. They are all too busy talking amongst themselves or texting their BFFs to notice a lowly bar patron. Beer selection OK. Service sucks. My friend got the Laughing Monk Beer and the Raspberry Lemon Drop (didn't get a picture of this unfortunately), and I got myself a Mango Mojito. The mango mojito was delicious! I could definitely taste the mango, as well as some mint and lime. I also tasted the raspberry lemon drop, which was really pretty and tasted like lemonade. Both of the cocktails did not taste like it had alcohol in it, so if you're trying to order cocktails with the expectation of getting a little tipsy, these drinks aren't that strong to do that. If you don't like the taste of alcohol but still enjoy the activity of drinking cocktails (aka me), then these are perfect! read more

Came here on a Saturday evening around 6PM after the Stanford game. We sat at the bar and ordered some drinks to start us off. I ordered the Kaleesi which was absolutely delicious but also sweet so after I was done with that, I reverted over to beer. My bf and I appreciated the wide variety of beer offered. From IPAs to sours, there's something for every beer drinker. We then ordered some pizza and the tandoori chicken was amazing - spicy and flavorful. Side note: this bar shares with Curry Pizza. The restaurant started to get a little busier and it seemed like they were short staffed - seemed like the two owners/manager were both the bartender and servers, and then two bus girls.
