Came in for dinner and drinks with a group of 7. The waitress was very nice, but didn't really check on us. My friend got filet mignon skewers and they were fully cold when delivered to the table, the vegetables were also hard and not seasoned. My friend had one bite of each and couldn't eat anything further, the waitress didn't ask about her full plate to everyone else's almost empty ones, and when it didn't get boxed up, still didn't ask anything about the meal. So in my opinion, service was lacking and paying $30 for cold food? Not good. Additionally another person in the party got a filet salad and was also not impressed. Drinks were well received all around. I enjoyed the kats way pizza which was half green goddess and half peach pancetta. Both of these pizzas were probably my favorite pizzas of all time. We got the French Onion Soup, which comes with a side of grilled sando so it's quite filling especially since there's another toast inside of the soup. We also got Kat's Way, and quite honestly, I'm so with you, Kat. Half vegetarian pizza with zucchini and squash & half peach with garlic ricotta. We came to Hideaway House on Sunday evening. Since they were full with reservations, we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. The host explained that we wouldn't be able to choose a specific seating area and would be placed at the first available table, which was understandable given how busy they were. We ended up sitting outside on the first-floor patio. There are additional tables down a flight of stairs, but we stayed on the upper level. Because of the cooler weather, they had blankets available for guests to use, which was a really nice and thoughtful touch that made the outdoor seating much more comfortable. For drinks, we tried a peach margarita with a salted rim and their mango wheat beer on tap with an orange slice. Both were crisp, refreshing, and well-balanced. No complaints there. We ordered an appetizer, two entrées, and dessert. The garlic flatbread was a good starter, followed by the chicken parmigiana and a chicken BBQ pizza. We finished with the chocolate lava cake for dessert. Everything came out hot and tasted good, but nothing really stood out as exceptional or memorable. It was solid, satisfying food, just not something we'd rave about. Service was a bit inconsistent. Different staff members checked on us throughout the meal, so it didn't feel like we had one steady server from start to finish. Overall, it's a decent place to grab a meal, especially if you want a nice patio setting and good drinks, but the food itself was fairly average. Great food and great views! The peach and pancetta pizza was a showstopper--amazing flavor combination. The roma pizza was delicious as well with a generous amount of toppings. Wow - the views here alone make it worth it. We sat outside and had a wonderful view. Our server was attentive and answered questions we had. Our son got the kids pasta and he's 8 - it wasn't a lot so heads up if you have a big eater. My husband and i ordered a pizza. The service was on point and the waiter was attentive despite it being very busy, my personal favs were the peach ricotta side of the (kats way) pizza and the prickly pear lemonade! The honey and pear crostini is a very close third place. The spaghetti and meatballs were good but the marinara was a little too chunky for my liking. Interesting place for lunch, ambience is the view, most want to sit in the back porch with great red rock Mountain View's, most of the tables are slanted a bit some more than others. I dad the Caesar salad and pizza both were very good, pizza had good amount of mozzarella and plenty of toppings. The bathrooms were a 2 star old and a bit grungy, need to redo these sometime soon! Their pizza was great as well. Antipasto salad with added shrimp. Everything was filling and delicious. While waiting we ordered drinks from the walk up window to the bar. I've read the current reviews and thought since it was pet friendly and had a great view that we would give it a try. My wife got the burrata salad which she said was fine. I ordered the green lip mussels appetizer it wasn't too bad but a bit vinegary. Bread that came with it was a bit dense. I ordered the meatball sub which had the same bread and meatballs lacked flavor, mozzarella was cheap and not melted properly. It said it was a pound of meatballs but far from it. More bread than meatballs. I was trained by an Italian chef and this was far from any Italian food. If they use the same dough for the pizza I don't think that it would have any flavor. Dense and flavorless. If you're there for drinks and a view you'll be fine. read more
