I've had brunch at Creekside in Sedona many times, and it's one of my favorite spots in Sedona. Sometimes the food in Sedona can be a little lackluster and missing seasoning, but someone in the kitchen at Creekside definitely knows what they're doing! We always enjoy brunch here, and I had some of the best chilaquiles I've ever had. Their croissants are another must-try, especially with that yummy butter sauce. They also have infused alcohol drinks that look really good. I don't drink liquor often, but I have to admit, they looked tasty nonetheless! The outdoor seating in the back has an amazing view, so try to snag a table back there if you can. Pro tip: Come here after a hike, make a reservation, and request a table out back. read more

We were in Sedona for a mini family vacation and decided to stop in for breakfast! It was a Sat morning and the place was busy so we had to wait for a table in the patio since we had our dog. The staff were very warm and welcoming and were nice enough to walk us through the menu since this was our first visit. As for the food, every dish we ordered was a perfect blend of textures and flavors that transported our tastebuds to various levels. The service was unacceptable to me. It was slow, and there was no greeting from any of the 3 or 4 workers passing by. The waiter who served us was nice and pleasant, but there needs to be more of a sense of awareness among the staff and waiting customers. Even if you're not waiting on a specific table, you should possibly notify your team that a table might need assistance as they have been waiting. Make eye contact with customers etc.. yada yada. Ambience was nice even if we were outside while it was a bit toasty! They had fans out there which really helped and it was early in the morning so the weather was feeling good mostly! Service was great which I always appreciate and the views were lovely too. I got the huevos and sadly was not impressed. My "warm fresh" tortillas were hard and could not even be torn or cut apart with a knife which I found disappointing. I did substitute the shredded pork for chicken but in the end I noticed I still had pork in it. Thankfully it wasn't the biggest deal, just was caught off guard considering I didn't want pork in the first place. Beans were bland but the crispy side potato's were good. Nestled in a small shopping center off of State Route 179 A , It has the most amazing views from the front seating area outside, inside and outside seating. There is no bad table seating here. Up in Sedona for the day and wanted some place with a nice view, Vegan options, and good Happy Hour Specials...came across this on Yelp! We got in a little early and put our name on the list. Happy Hour is only available on the outdoor patios (not air conditioned), or the bar. We chose to sit inside at a high top behind the bar as it was pretty hot outside; no view :( We were looking for Vegan options and really didn't see a whole lot on this Menu. We got the Onion Rings, which were amazing, and a couple Margaritas (Prickly Pear & Creekside Traditional). The Margaritas were not good and tasted like a very cheap tequila is used; the I'm gonna have a headache in the morning kind. They were only $6 each, so we drank them and left. The service wasn't great either. Our waitress was the bartender and often got overlooked for the two men sitting at the bar, which were the only other people in her section. We didn't need much, but refills of our water would have been nice after hiking in the heat. The Onion Rings here were truly the highlight of our experience, but I don't think we'll be back. read more

I got the shrimp and grits and it was horrible. First, the entire dish was waaaaaay too salty. When I get a dish with that much salt, I wonder what they are trying to hide. I'm guessing the rest of the dish. It was full of all sorts of stuff - from celery to "the tower of onions" look at the pic: there was a half an onion in my dish and that was it. We came here around 5pm after wine tasting in Page, hoping to catch the sunset. When we walked in, they asked if we had a reservation (we didn't), I asked if there was any chance for a patio table. We got really lucky and ended up with a great spot outside. Our server Rita was very friendly and went over the specials with us. We ordered the steak special, the ahi tuna nachos, and Mom's garden salad. The salad was fresh and simple. The ahi tuna was really good and flavorful. Personally, we would've preferred regular nacho chips instead of the wonton skins. My husband ordered the steak medium rare, but it came out a bit more done than expected. It wasn't a big deal to us, and we still enjoyed everything, especially the view. When Rita checked on us, my husband mentioned it. She felt really bad and offered us dessert, but we told her it was okay. She still felt very sorry. It did get a little cold once the sun went down, so we didn't stay too long after that. When we got the check, she gave us a discount on the steak since it wasn't cooked how we liked it, which we appreciated. We ended up tipping extra because she was so kind. We came here for breakfast/brunch since their menu looked like it had a lot of options. We didn't have a reservation, but we came a little after lunch and we were seated after about a 10 minute wait. They also have outside seating both in the front and in the rear. The rear had an amazing view, but had a longer wait. We started our meal with some mimosas, then got the mini croissants which are baked fresh. There were five in one order which was perfect. These were buttery, warm, crisp and just overall delicious. For our entrées, we got the broken yolk sandwich, which was pretty large and very tasty, love that they were generous with their bacon. Who doesn't love bacon?!? Creekside Sedona is an amazing little restaurant that is tucked literally on a side of a creek. With amazing views, there is no way I would sit inside if the weather is warm enough to sit outside. Just sitting at our table gave me a little bit of peace and serenity as our table overlooked the red rocks over the balcony. And right underneath is the creek that is streaming along. If you are up for it, you can hike along the creek and explore. The food was pretty damn good as well. The jalapeño corn bread is a must! You cannot leave here without trying it. I got the combo platter of eggs, bacon, pancakes and potatoes and it was the perfect portion. My friend got the shrimp and grits and I had the opportunity to try it and it was wonderful!!! Pink or no pink? That is the question. Of course we wanted pink for our Wagyu double patty burger! That's the only way to go! We also added on caramelized onions. Man, that burger was so juicy! It dripped on the plate with each bite! Loved the crispy and fluffy sidewinder fries too. Totally hit the spot after a long hike. We also shared the beet salad which was huge! On a Sunday morning, we reserved a table 4. It was perfect as a big crowd was there as we arrived. Needing to fuel up before a long drive, Creekside was perfect. 3 out of 4 of us got the All American Breakfast and the last got the shrimp & grits. We also had the jalapeño honey cornbread on the side. The food overall was delicious and loved that my potatoes were crispy. If you Google "best breakfast in Sedona," Creekside Sedona Café pops up like it personally owns the morning. So naturally, we went in with expectations higher than the red rocks. Let's start with what absolutely crushed it. The patio. We ate outside staring directly at Snoopy Rock and the surrounding formations, and I'm not exaggerating when I say the view alone deserves five stars. Breathtaking. Postcard stuff. The kind of scenery that makes you briefly consider becoming an outdoorsy person. The vibe was relaxed, comfortable, and very "Sedona but make it brunch." Now the food. My wife and I both ordered the breakfast burrito. Solid choice. Good flavor, good portion, no complaints. But here's the thing. Without the salsa verde, it's just... fine. With the salsa verde? Now we're talking. So basically, the burrito is one small plastic ramekin away from greatness. Four stars for food feels right. And then there's Jose. Look, I don't know what Jose had going on that morning. Maybe Mercury was in retrograde. Maybe he lost a fantasy football matchup. Maybe he just really hates breakfast. But the man did not seem thrilled about being there. Service was slow. The vibe was somewhere between abrupt and "please stop needing things." He disappeared for long stretches like we were playing a breakfast-themed version of Where's Waldo. It's tough because when you're staring at Snoopy Rock, you want service that matches the magic. Instead, we got "I'll be back... eventually." So here's the breakdown: Views and atmosphere: five stars. Food: four stars, assuming you guard that salsa verde with your life. Service: oof. Beautiful patio views but misleading menu. I came here with high expectations after reading about Chef Mercer and the reviews about how good the food was. Unfortunately, I felt like I was led to an abandoned creekside with subpar food. I am sure Creekside Sedona had its heyday of great food but with the Mercer Group's expansion in Sedona, the Creekside Sedona may have been left to the forgotten wayside. Here are zee lowlights: 1. The shrimp ceviche should not be called ceviche. It was shrimp cocktail chopped up and mixed with overly salted, mush cucumbers. It was served with stale tostadas and tortilla chips to make things worse. 2. The chips served with the chicken burger were stale as well. The only redeeming part about the burger was the tender chicken breast. 3. On the dog menu, the Tundra Stew was described as shredded beef, duck, and lamb. At $15, I thought it was going to be a fresh meal for our dog with actual shredded meat. What came out was canned dog food as evidenced by the cubed, chunks of meat and the mushy carrots. There was nothing fresh about this meal and our poor dog threw up in the car, shortly after eating. 4. Ms. Emily's Flakey Warm Croissants. You can't go wrong with croissants but what came out was more like soggy croissants that were probably reheated instead of being freshly made as described on the menu. There was no "flake" to the bake. Service was fine; nothing outstanding and nothing horrible. The view from the patio was nice and it was nice to have a pet friendly place to eat at. read more

Creekside is my favorite place for brunch in Sedona. It's another of Chef Mercer's spots, and we've been here many times. If you sit outside on the deck, there are heaters and you can get red rock views and creek views. Our favorite brunch meals: 1. I usually order the Ramen with shrimp and hard boiled egg. (I ask them to hold off the pork belly and add an extra hard boiled egg): 5 stars! 2. My husband usually orders the shrimp tacos or egg cheddar cheese omelette, but this weekend he ordered the smoked salmon bagel platter, which is phenomenal. It comes with some truffled egg salad which is delicious too: 5 stars! 3. The beet salad with arugula and goat cheese and blackberries is colorful, excellent and fresh: 5 stars 4. For cocktails, I usually order the spicy blackberry margarita, but since it was a cold January day, I ordered the hot buttered rum, and it was amazing! (5 stars) My husband ordered the Mercer Manhattan, which he loved. (5 stars) The waitstaff are kind and attentive. If you bring your dog, make a reservation to be seated outside. Also, I highly recommend you make an advanced reservation. This place gets busy for brunch and dinner most times of the year, especially on weekends. Also, note that the parking lot can get very full and there may be traffic to get here and you may need extra time to park. It's worth it, this. This place is great! read more

We spent the weekend in Sedona and wanted to grab lunch before heading back. We had finalized Creekside Bistro and even made a reservation... only to realize we had picked the wrong date! Luckily, they were kind enough to accommodate us. There was a 35-minute wait, but honestly, it was worth it. The place was packed, and their menu has some great options, though the pricing felt a bit on the higher side. We ordered the waffle with Nutella, the blue crab cakes with salad, the Korean BBQ lamb chops, and ended with the peach cobbler. The blue crab cakes were some of the best I've ever had -- just two cakes, but absolutely delicious. The salad that came with it was equally impressive, loaded with berries, walnuts, and fresh greens with amazing flavor. The Korean BBQ lamb chops, on the other hand, were a bit of a let-down. The meat wasn't well-done, so it felt a little chewy and hard. The waffle was amazing -- so good we could've easily eaten two! We finished with the peach cobbler, which was warm and comforting, though the peaches were slightly tart (probably not peak season), so we'll take it. The food was just okay - I got the All American breakfast plate and was surprised that the portion was pretty small. I guess I'm used to breakfast places serving huge plates. It has nice views of snoopy rock and depending on the season you can even hear the river. The food, though, was very disappointing. I ordered the Baja shrimp tacos, and they had almost no flavor. The shrimp tasted boiled and just... off. I couldn't finish them because they started to gross me out. My partner got the Red Bird chicken sandwich, and the chicken was the same.
