Very novel way of serving coffee. The staff is friendly and ambiance around downtown Monrovia is upbeat. Their hours could be improved as I have been coming to Monrovia a lot but hardly ever noticed this little business due to their hours. It is fairly new but seems true to its name. Give it a try, support a local business.

I ordered the pistachio coffee today for the first time and the coffee was really good. I don't taste the pistachio other than the chunks as the topping. But the coffee itself is strong and yummy compared to other coffee shops that taste watered down. It's a hole in the wall with a door that opens. So no outside or inside area to sit in. You just order outside and pick up your coffee and go to wherever you need to go. I can't wait to try the other drinks available!

It's back! Great service. I got a 16 oz pistachio latte with salted vanilla cream top. $8.50. Pricey but delicious and smooth. Not too sweet.

Staff was amazing! I'm excited they reopened, since working in the area i've been looking for a good matcha spot for my daily craving. It was so yummy, the strawberry milk tasted like real strawberries (without any artificial flavors). The matcha wasn't too sweet with an umami and a rich creamy taste. It was the perfect balance ! Definitely will be coming back to try more flavors and combinations!

This is a hidden coffee shop in Monrovia. I see that many complain about the wait time but there is usually only one person in there and personally I don't mind the wait. It takes time to make a good latte. I am definitely going again.

It was located inside the acai place. Just gonna go straight to the point... My lavender latte was ok. It wasn't bad for the price. The lavender flavor was there. The matcha lavender was a different story. The lavender flavor in the matcha was nonexistent. Also, for the price the size was really small. Adding cream top was an extra $1.50 so it was super expensive, imo. However, the bigger problem was the drink itself. It wasn't good. The matcha was lacking and like I mentioned...the lavender was nonexistent. Most likely will not return. Street parking avail Service was ok

Hideout Coffee (est 2025/04) is a tiny new to-go-cafe shop located on Lime ave in Monrovia. It's a fast growing cafe serving coffee, matcha, chai, and more! As the name denotes, this coffee shop is inside an old brick wall building with a small window on the side street facing east of Monrovia Public Library. It has no outdoor or indoor seats because it wasn't design to be a sit in coffee shop. Nevertheless, they offer a modest variety of coffee and tea which can be hot or cold. I visited this coffee shop today-Memorial Day- and had a great experience. It is beautiful. I ordered a 12oz Rose Latte which was a traditional latte with the addition of subtle sweet, floral notes. Its rose flavor was not strong or over powering. If you enjoy a traditional latte, this one is worth trying. Staff was cordial and professional. Service was spot on. Prices were fair and competitive. Finding parking was easy. Collectively, this was a good to-go- coffee shop find. Overall, I enjoyed my latte and their service. I recommend and hope you support this tiny coffee shop.

Tried Hideout Coffee for the first time today and it was such a great experience. The pistachio latte was really good and definitely something I'd order again. It's not too sweet which I love. The young lady helping us was super helpful and nice, and she even offered my puppy a pup cup without me even asking. I didn't even know they did that here, so it was such a sweet surprise. Great drinks and great customer service. I'll definitely be coming back!

Small little cafe in downtown Monrovia! I think it used to be located on the side of the building but it moved inside the açaí place. The menu is small but I really liked the matcha latte! It already comes sweetened with agave so it's perfect if you like your latte on the sweeter side. There was a little bit of a wait since there's just one staff working but they're super friendly! Lots of street parking and located around a lot of cute stores for you check out after you get your coffee/matcha!

Pistachio latte- really good! They include little bits of pistachio inside the coffee. It has really strong pistachio taste so if you're not that big of a fan you might not like it. Sometimes it looks like there's only one person working. They'll be taking orders and making the coffee so the line will be really long. I've had to walk away from the wait times before. The 12oz coffee is also the standard and really small. You're better off getting a 16oz with the amount of ice they put on the iced drinks. The coffee is pricey but I can confidently say they're making really great coffee. Given the size to price ratio of the drinks and really long wait times, it's still 4 stars for me. It's worth a try every once in a while.

Old Town will have a new coffee spot opening Dec 1st next to Acai Bar!

Cute new coffee spot in great location in Old Town! Really nice iced pistachio latte, friendly service every time I've been, and decent prices. It's a sorta-hidden little walk up window with no indoor access or outdoor seating so come prepared - but it's right across from Library Park which has plenty of benches and seating opportunities - or just enjoy a walk around Old Town with your coffee! I've stopped by a few times and the staff have always been very welcoming and friendly. We've tried the iced pistachio latte as I mentioned, as well as the blueberry latte and lavender latte (both hot). The pistachio latte has been my fave - iced is a great version and it even has little pieces of pistachio nuts in it, which I loved. The blueberry latte was also really nice - creamy with a mild blueberry flavor - and both of these weren't too sweet which I appreciated. And while I enjoyed the blueberry, I think it would've been much better iced. The lavender latte was my least fave - their espresso has a lovely flavor depth in all the lattes - but the lavender was very bitter and I just couldn't drink much of it. I definitely wouldn't get this again. They offer pastries now too - sometimes muffins and sometimes other varieties. They're right behind Açaí Bar and easy to find. Their prices are pretty decent for the area and I look forward to trying the strawberry latte next time!

We tried the pistacchio and lavender latte! Both were really good and the girls working here were also so sweet and answered our questions. There was no line when we came and plenty of parking but we also came at 10am on a week day so I'm sure on weekends and early mornings there is more of a line. The building is really beautiful that it's in, but there will be no seating so it's definitely grab and go. There are also limited food options here and only one kind of muffin when we came so you may need to grab food elsewhere. Otherwise we had no complaints!

Hideout Coffee is located in Old Town Monrovia, across from Monrovia Library Park and tucked behind Açaí Bar. I've walked past this spot multiple times, always curious about the closed door. Today, I finally saw it open and was surprised to find that it's just a small window booth for ordering coffee, not a sit-down café. There was a surprisingly decent line of people waiting to order, which speaks to its popularity. The concept is interesting--it's not a place to hang out, but rather a grab-and-go coffee spot. The menu offers all the classic options, including coffee, espresso, chai, and matcha, with prices ranging from $3.50 to $7. Overall, It's definitely more of a quick stop than a destination, but I'm intrigued by its unique setup.

This is a great little spot to hang out with friends or family, play games, go on a date, or just relax by yourself with a drink. I came with my baby sister and we both really liked the atmosphere. The front of the store has cute seating, and there's also a smaller, almost private, area toward the back near the bathrooms with a little couch and board games, which gives the place even more personality. I'd say the back area with the small couch is more of a first-come, first-served spot. The couch could comfortably fit a group of 4-5 people you came with, or maybe just one couple. Otherwise, it might feel a little awkward sharing such a small space with people you don't know unless you're not socially awkward. They have a good variety of drinks on the menu, though they don't sell any food. My sister didn't like the drink she initially ordered because she had requested foam and salt, but the staff was kind enough to remake it to her liking, which we really appreciated. Good customer service makes such a difference, and they handled it very kindly. My drink came out great... good size, good flavor, and fairly priced. Overall, I'd definitely come back here again if I'm in the area. Cute shop, good drinks, great service, and a nice cozy vibe without feeling cramped.

There's a little bit of seating inside, and the location itself is really cute with lots of surrounding shops to walk around and browse. Definitely a nice place to grab a treat while spending the afternoon in the area. Also appreciated that there was plenty of street parking nearby, which made stopping in really convenient. For the drinks itself, not sure what kind of matcha powder they are using but it doesn't seem to be grade quality. The banana latte also tasted like milk. Interior wise, plenty of tables & seating. When I asked for the stronger option, I was recommended to get the cappucino rather than the latte and they can make the caffeine a little bit more concentrated without sacrificing the flavor.
