Honestly, the low price is baffling. CRAZY!! I arrived at Yi's Cafe (Arcadia) on Tuesday (around 12:55PM). Parking will require street parking. Fortunately, there's a nearby neighborhood with spots to park. Yi's Cafe (Arcadia) has awful visibility. It's extremely tiny, and it's hard to find even when searching. Staff is busy and efficient. Sudden waves of customers regularly appear, order, and vanish. There's almost a rabid scuffle as everyone took in the low affordable prices for such high quality coffee. Similar coffee could easily sell for $7+, yet all of the drinks are $4 or less!? CRAZY! My drink took about three minutes. Good time! As mentioned, I enjoyed the Tiramisu Latte ($4). This coffee carried a layered creaminess while capturing the essence of Tiramisu and a fresh roast. I appreciated the drink's strength and thoughtfulness. TASTY! Regarding ambiance, Yi's Cafe (Arcadia) is cramped & tiny. It felt like a big closet. It felt warm inside. There's two tiny interior counters, and there's two small patio tables. This is an order-and-leave spot. Still, there's some utility. There's customer internet; information is available by asking Staff. There's also one electrical outlet. There's no restroom, but there's two hand sanitizer bottles. The music also played very light pop music. Overall, I had a good experience at Yi's Cafe (Arcadia). The coffee is high-quality, and the prices are extremely low. I'd take advantage before these amazing prices increase. If you live nearby, you're ridiculously fortunate. How is that even possible when the same drink runs between $7.50 to $9 everywhere else in SGV? And the latte was pretty good too. Maybe the best kept secret for coffee and an affordable lunch. We had 3 drinks and a pastry for $11 on a Sunday afternoon - which is a steal! We ordered a tiramisu latte, the summer sunrise, and Vietnamese coffee. The tiramisu latte is the star of the show. The sweetness is just right. The summer sunrise was way too sweet and the Vietnamese coffee tasted as if the coffee beans were burnt. I'm not complaining though because I needed the caffeine and the Vietnamese coffee delivered. They had a deal where you can get a pastry for free if your purchase goes over $10 so we got the blueberry muffin warmed up and it was soft and moist. Service is quick and friendly. Couldn't say too much for the ambiance because there was only one table outside and this feels more like a grab and go spot. Finding a $4 iced latte in this economy is insane. I had a friend recommend this cafe to me a while ago and I finally found the chance to be able to go try it. It did not disappoint at all. It's a hole in the wall spot so there's only street parking available. There was only one guy working at the time and he was very patient and welcoming. We got a tiramisu latte, caramel frappe, and a banana pound cake. The total came out to be about $10. I think that's an absolute steal. The tiramisu latte was a bit on the sweeter side for me but it was still delicious. The caramel frappe was equally as delicious and icy. The banana pound cake was so yummy. I'm not sure if they rotate out their pastries but if it's available again, I'm definitely getting more. It was buttery and crumbly with a strong banana flavor in it. My only complaint is that I wished they put the sauces in a small baggie or something because two out of the six sauces leaked. Came here early on a Tuesday morning to grab coffee for my coworker and me. I've been hearing great things about Yi Cafe for a while--seeing videos on social media and hearing a friend who lives nearby rave about it--so I was excited to finally try it. So glad my commute took me out of the way so I could try this gem! At 7am, this tiny storefront was already warm and welcoming. The owner was super friendly and recommended the tiramisu latte which for $4 was a STEAL. I also ordered the chicken rice and he threw in a blueberry muffin on the house. Small mom and pop coffee shop that took over Poppy Cake in Arcadia. What really stood out to me when I first came across it was the prices! Drinks for less than $5? Where can you find that nowadays? I decided to check it out for myself, and I was pretty blown away. I've been by twice already, and I've enjoyed both visits. They were having a promotion where if you order more than $10, you get to choose a free pastry. So since I had ordered 3 drinks that day, I ended up trying a muffin. Not sure if the pastries are made in house, but it was pretty good. As for the drinks, my go-to is the Spanish latte, but I've tried the mocha and vanilla as well, and all were pretty good. There isn't too big of a distinction between mocha and vanilla (except that vanilla was a tad bit sweeter), but I really could taste the cinnamon in the Spanish latte. I've also tried their boba latte, which was interesting! I don't know if I'd get it again just cause I prefer boba with milk tea, but it wasn't bad. They also serve food here at an affordable price! A local hidden gem!!! I've been here a couple times and have never been disappointed. For sandwiches, I've tried the B.L.A.R.B. (new!) , Chicken Pesto Panini, Breakfast Sandwich, and the Smoked Salmon Sandwich. My favorites are the B.L.A.R.B. and Chicken Pesto which are both panini pressed on sourdough. These two also come in half/full sizes which is very convenient. The Breakfast Sandwich and the Smoked Salmon Sandwich are also delicious and on brioche buns. I would honestly recommend any of them! For drinks, I've only tried the Boba Latte with Oat milk, half sugar (they don't charge for milk substitutions) and the coffee is scrumptious. I arrived a little before 11:30 am and found plenty of parking on the street. When I walked in, I just had a party of 2 ahead of me, making their order. When it was my turn, I ended up ordering:4 Pumpkin Spice Latte, Hot, $4 prior to tax- I picked this beverage, it had a nice flavor of pumpkin. Vietnamese Coffee, Iced, $3.75 prior to tax- My husband thought this coffee drink tasted off to him. He has had numerous of Vietnamese coffee drinks before but didn't really like this one. Americano, Hot, $2.50 prior to tax- I got this one for my mom and she thought it was fine. Matcha Latte, Iced, $3.75 prior to tax- I wasn't a fan of this matcha. I honestly felt like the quality of the matcha used is low (I drink a lot of matcha and also make it at home regularly, the old school way with a whisk and special tea bowl). Hainan Chicken Rice, $9.99 prior to tax- This was definitely the star of the show in the purchase that I made. The portion size for the price is excellent and the chicken was tender. I was surprised that the chicken was also boneless too. The rice dish is a bit too oily though, but that's to be expected. I also wished there were a little more sliced cucumbers to break up the oiliness of this dish. My husband also enjoyed this dish and so did my mom. Cinnamuffin, $2.50 prior to tax- Because of the special of spending $10 or more, I got this item for free. This item was good two days after purchase. I just heated it in the oven with a damp paper towel for 15 seconds and it came out great. The muffin was moist and the icing on top that was not too sweet. --------------------------------- (Total= $25.04 after tax, prior to tip) After this visit, my husband ended up visiting Yi's Cafe with our little girl dog on 2 separate visits and on his most recent visit, he brought me back: Honey Chai, Hot, $3.75 prior to tax- I did like this drink but felt it was a little too sweet, most likely from the honey and would consider trying the spicy chai next time. Smoked Salmon Sandwich, $5.99 prior to tax- This sandwich comes with smoked salmon and plenty of it, along with an egg, sliced purple onions, sliced cucumbers, a spread of both cream cheese and thousand island dressing that is on top of a brioche bun. I had this for lunch at work one day (reheated just fine in the microwave) and thought it was pretty good. Since this place opened up in early July, I've been several times and have tried different items. It's a small family-run cafe with VERY reasonably priced drinks and food options and super friendly service! They offer coffees, teas, sodas, ice cream bars, and a few lunch food options. It's seems more geared towards takeaway food since the interior is small, but there are a couple counters that would seat 4 people total so you can dine in if you wish. FYI - They're running a promotion where if you spend over $10 you get a free pastry, so all of the baked goods I've tried have been free so far. This is what I've tried so far: - Tiramisu latte with mascarpone cold foam ($4.00): It's my go-to. Absolutely delicious and keeps me wired lol. I want to try their other drinks but I love this one so much and end up always getting it. - Spinach danish and cherry danish ($2.50): Very good! Generous with the filling, lightly crispy and flakey, but mostly soft. Good value given the crazy pastry prices these days. - Hainan chicken rice ($9.99): The chicken was so juicy and soft, the rice was very flavorful. Served with the typical hainan sauces (the green salty one and the orange one). I really liked the green sauce - it was bright, salty, and fresh. The matcha flavor was good, but had more of an oceanic/seaweed flavor that some matchas have. It was fine, definitely needed a lot more sugar. I would like to try the blueberry muffin next time because that's usually what I go for. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you need a quick lunch in Arcadia!! Excellent new local spot for pastries and coffee! Happened to see a photo of their Dalgona whipped coffee and had to try it - it was wonderful! We also tried their Tiramisu Latte and some pastries and loved it all. They've just opened recently and are having a special deal where you get a free item if you spend $10 (pastry, drink, or ice cream) until Aug 10th! My iced Dalgona whipped coffee was light and pretty refreshing - the coffee was smooth and frothy with a rich flavor and the milk was cold and not too sweet, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely come back for this again. The Tiramisu Latte (hot) was also very delicious - they use some lovely coffee blends here. We also got three pastries: guava, blueberry, and cherry. So far I tasted a bit of the blueberry and cherry ones and they're very nice - flaky pastry and smooth jam that's, again, not overly sweet. Would also get these again. They've also got some savory lunch items on their menu that I'll be trying next time. The shop is simple and efficient in a decent location near the border of Arcadia/Monrovia. There's only one small table inside so it's more of a grab-and-go kinda place. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. And the prices are unbelievably reasonable - especially with their opening deal going at the moment. Our total was $13 for two lattes and three pastries! Parking is free street parking in the surrounding area and there are several cute shops within walking distance. read more

Small cafe located off Foothills. Street parking. More of a Togo spot. They have a promotion right now you can get a free bottled drink, pastry or ice cream with $10 purchase (fliers in front of the store). I tried the Hainan chicken, dalgona coffee and croissant. The service is very friendly and quick. Hainan chicken was good. I prefer their green sauce vs their red sauce. Dalgona coffee was refreshing. The croissant could be flakier. What a gem! Great location with plenty of street parking upfront. Very cozy place with some seating inside and outside. The service is excellent, very friendly and patient. The prices are amazing and everything is delicious!! Both lattes were great, the pastries were all so tasty. I was indecisive about a lunch item because everything in the menu looked good but a customer recommended the panini and what a great choice that was. Everything was so good we ordered another coffee and the breakfast sandwich to go for my friend's daughter (not pictured). I hope to be back in the area again soon for more. read more

Cute spot in Arcadia off Foothill. Small lot behind and street parking. Service was quick and friendly. Love the mom And pop family vibe. Small shop, mostly for take out and go (not real sitting area for hanging out). Tried their Vietnamese coffee which was not a traditional type, and made me wanting more. It was of decent strength at least. The more disappointing drinks were their Dalgona Coffee (the topping was great, but the coffee was weak and mostly tasted of the milk base). Their Tiramisu was also quite weak but did have good flavoring, just lacked any real coffee flavor. We did try their Guava pastry. To be fair we had it a day later, and it was quite tough and reminded us of meat. Not a bad pastry, just not what we expected. Overall a bit disappointing, but the price point was pretty good, so hard to complain. I believe they can definitely improve, as they just opened, and will give another shot later. They do serve some food as well including Hainan chicken as well. read more

If you spend $10+ that includes tax you get to pick out a pastry for free! $9.99 for Hainan chicken and rice with free pastry! That's all I got to say.
