Came here for a work event and really enjoyed the atmosphere! We only stayed for the bowling, but the staff was kind and were willing to open up the karaoke room for us if we wanted! The drinks were great. The only reason I'm giving this 4 instead of 5 stars is because the food options are limited, especially for vegetarians. I would love to see slightly healthier food choices as well. Overall, I would recommend High 5 for any group events. Next time I would love to try the axe throwing and top golf VR! read more

Yikes! I do not recommend! I went for their Monday special that they have online which is unlimited bowling + shoes, all you can tag, & a 100 pt player card for $22.50. The whole staff had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about it and there was no manager on floor the whole time I was there. Ended up paying $40 for just two games of bowling for two ppl w shoes. The first alley we played on even broke on us. I'd most definitely recommend a normal bowling alley. Didn't even get a chance to do anything else because the bowling alone was so expensive. read more

I work next door to High 5 and go there often. I've had good and one bad experience with bartenders. Whenever Courtney is my bartender she is great. Very aware, efficient and is always ready to offer another round before my beer is even finished. Etienne I think is his name is not as attentive. Went there after work tonight to watch the Fury/Wilder fight and he was more attentive to the fight then the people drinking at the bar. After my first beer it took me literally 15 min to get a second one. After THAT one, it was over 10 minutes until I had to walk down to where he was standing to ask for another. At which he told me he did last call already. But he never made it down to my side of the bar to do said last call. Courtney is amazing. The other guy, not so much. read more

Really poor service from start to finish. Even the exec chef was out at the bar with 3 or 4 other employees and no one came to serve me. That happened all 3 times I went to the bar (to order food, to get our order corrected when it came out incorrect, and when I went to pay the tab). Poor service. Only people at the restuarant/arcade. They ended our bowling game and we hadn't even finished one game. We would understand if others were waiting but again we were the only people there. This was a game we paid $86 for... that is ridiculous. This is closer to a 2.5 star review than a 2 star one. My wife and I went to High 5 on a relatively quiet Saturday night. One large party, but not a lot of other patrons. Nonetheless, we suffered from the "you are invisible" problem - our server only came every 10-15 minutes. And he was impossible to flag down because he was serving the large party and never looked our way. At the end, to pay the bill, I had to go to the bar and ask them to close me out - and then THEY tracked him down. So, service is definitely a 1. The food had high points and not-so high points. We ordered the hummus trio, and each of us liked one of the hummuses (she liked the pesto, I liked another one). However, they were supposed to come with cut-up vegetables - we had to ask for those and then wait .... She had the snapper, and it was excellent - not over-cooked, nicely seasoned, good accompaniments. I had the spinach and arugula and shrimp salad that others swooned over, but not me. Something was off on the vinaigrette (my wife agreed) that just took it down a notch - perhaps too astringent. This place has potential - but needs significant upgrades in the service. read more

Showed up tonight at around 9:30 to play a couple of games and enjoy a night cap. Stopped in the restroom first and it looked like no one had cleaned it for a couple of days. One stall out of order and the other two toilets were full of un flush tp/ stall trash over flowing. Went up to the bar to grab a drink. The whole bar was sticky and dirty from past patrons. There was literally a melted pile of ice cream on the bar top where I was standing. We were willing to look past all of this except the "bartender" walked straight past us with out acknowledgement and left the bar area. We left. High 5 is a locally owned Austin business that started in Lakeway. The Anderson Lane location is the second location. It only opened a couple of weeks ago. This location provides a smaller and more intimate adult-focused scene. I like how they have opened up the interior space. TThe outdoor patio has also gone through a facelift. It is spacious, cozy, with several corn hole stations and oversized connect four. When we walked in we were warmly greeted. They don't yet take reservations, but for a Friday night, the place only had a few guests. They have a large central bar, surrounded by comfortable booth seats. The arcade and bowling are in the back. We shared some wings, and then each tried an entre. The menu had several gluten-free options. The prices were reasonable. We started with some wings. The wings were tasty. The blue cheese sauce was good, with large chunks of blue cheese. Amongst us, we tried the Spinach & Arugula Salad, grilled cheese, fish & chips, and a pasta dish. Our least favorite was the grilled cheese. the bacon was good, but the bread was not toasted. My husband is VERY picky about fish and chips and really has a hard time finding some he likes. He enjoyed these. The regular and sweet potato fries were both very tasty. The regular fries were crisp and hand cut with some skin left on. Just like I love them. The pasta was deemed good. My salad was fresh and tasty. The drinks were good. The Mexican Martina was a tad too spicy. After eating, we ventured back to the bowling section. You rent the lane by the hour. We didn't have socks, but I was able to buy some for $2. There are about 5 lanes. There are large screen TV's playing local sports games. They have a good selection of balls to choose from. The shoes and area were very clean. You can order food and drinks here. You can keep your tab open as long as you DO NOT start your order from the bar. Anywhere else and you can maintain one tab. We had a great time bowling here. We then went to try out the skeeball. First, you need to purchase an arcade point card from the vending machine. It takes credit cards. Grab your loaded card, and then start swiping and playing games. You can earn points that go on your card that can be used towards other games. You can also redeem points in the vending machine at the front for various gifts. They have several games to select from. Look forward to our next visit. read more

We got put on the list for bowling and top golf and was told our slot was for 9 which meant we had to wait two hours because some company reserved the bowling and top golf until 9. Which was perfectly fine because we had some food and played darts while we waited. 9 o'clock came and we went to the counter for bowling and this stupid manager told us we weren't on the list and the company reserved the ally until 10:30. The manager couldn't even access the list to see what order we were. He was very rude and condescending and we'll most definitely never go back to this place. Clearly this location is a full hit or a full miss, based on reviews. For us, it was unfortunately a full miss. We organized a catered group outing for our team with the agreement of food for 30+, bowling, karaoke, golf, and other activities. From the minute we entered, we were clearly a burden to staff, who were wildly unhelpful and dismissive. When they weren't busy engaging in conversation or tickle fights (yes) amongst themselves, every request (resolving a lack of food, drinks, or otherwise) was met with either "we can't do that, sorry" or a "we're working on it" with no follow through-- even though the requests had been previously agreed upon when reserving the event. The bowling equipment continuously malfunctioned, and, after repeated requests for karaoke and golf, we were ultimately told both were out of commission due to network issues. We were not offered a refund, voucher, or otherwise for the lack of promised activities. An all-around underwhelming and disappointing experience. read more

I'm currently sitting here and the service has been horrible, the music is so loud at 7:45 PM at a place that is considered family friendly that I can't have a regular conversation with the people at my table. I requested the music to be turned down even a notch, she said "I'll ask". No response. We ordered mozzarella sticks 20 minutes ago and they still aren't out. We asked about them and was asked "did you order them?" Not only did we order, we ordered 2 and one order was brought out as we were asking about them. He said "oh, I'll get the other order out soon." No napkins or silverware was brought out as we were served our half of our order. I was a regular here. Spent lots of money. Never again. Empty and sad on a Thursday night. We were trying to find a place to bowl and Highland lanes was full because of an event, luckily this place was down the street. A tad more expensive than your normal, at twenty eight bucks a lane for an hour and five dollar shoe rentals. The dude at the register and the manager looked miserable working. We literally were the only ones there for the entirety of the time we were there, mind you it was just around/after dinner time. We also all checked in on yelp for the free five dollar game card but only would give us 1.. sucks considering it didn't say anything about limiting one per party .. not like it costs you anything for us to play ski ball . They have the arcade, bowling, axe throwing, and a bar. Axe throwing looks sad and the arcade is small. However, for what we were there for was bowling . Few lanes is what they had, the balls all covered with plastic . The guy kind of just threw our shoes on the ground, told us to put it back when we were done, and left . Didn't take the plastic off so we tried to and halfway through the manager came shaking his head to take it off. Bowling balls are all old and super used. My biggest beef besides customer service is the condition of the lanes. They are uneven and you can see dents in it. All our throws curved to the left unfortunately so we didn't get to get a good score as usual. I honestly probably wouldn't come back just because the workers annoyed me and the lane and ball conditions are poor. read more
