Though the artist who I booked with wasn't there and I waited for 3+ hours the gentlemen who did my tattoos my paw prints of my two deceased cats he was amazing, everyone was so friendly, very welcoming. I'll definitely come back I've told about 15 people to head your way read more

I got my nose and ear (snug) pierced about a week ago, and I had a great experience. Froy was my piercer and he is great! Very friendly and polite. He made me feel very comfortable during both procedures. I will definitely return for another piercing. read more

Had work done by Froy Rodriguez and appointment was for 11 am. One of the guys had to call him and he sounded like he woke him up. He didn't show up till 11:45 am and asked me what I was getting? I send him pictures of what was left on my sleeve to get done, what I wanted, and book a full session. He didnt start tattooing till 1 pm ish and got done at 4:45pm. The whole time he was showing people pictures and on the phone which is understandable but I never had artist stop so may times to conversate with other people, he seemed in a hurry, and I told him I wanted it very detailed. I got up to go to the restroom and looked in the mirror, didn't think much because I assumed he was going to touch things up. He didn't clean the tattoo and looked over his work for detailed that needed touched up and my arms was swollen and of course really dark after a session but he didn't say get up and looked or anything he just barley cleaned my arm, wrapped it, and walked away. I asked him Zelle? He said yes, I got the money and walked away no nothing else. No come back for a touch up after it heals or anything. His work speaks for himself and the whole experience was rushed and unprofessional. I msgd him the next morning to let him know after it heals I'd like some touch ups and to let me know in about 3 weeks or so to make the line straight and finish the lines that weren't done and blend better. No reply. All tattoo artist will be happy to touch you up but he went ghost. After no reply I will never go to him for any touch ups etc, or the shop. Again, the work speaks for itself. I did my research and he had good work but it may have been someone else's or he just got sloppy either way I'd avoid this tattoo artist! read more

I originally came in for matching tattoos with my partner & got them done by Brandon. Brandon was awesome & super chill. However, when it came down for the payment, this is when things took a turn. The shop had a sign at the cash register that read they took Venmo, Zelle or cash payments (an atm machine was in the shop). When we came back on Sunday, the sign was no longer up, convenient I'm sure. I asked to use Venmo but Brandon took Zelle instead, cool. We didn't leave the shop until 11 p.m. so most banks were closed by then. The Zelle didn't go through right away, it showed as "pending" & I showed proof of the pending transaction & the amount being deducted but it wasn't good enough. I was harassed for the money, several phone calls made to my phone. I reassured Brandon and sent screenshots about why Zelle payments could be pending. I was told to come in to use the atm machine to pay in cash that night. I refused, the payment was already pending. Fast forward, the payment went through the following morning. Brandon wanted to make right & invited us back to do our tattoo. My partner wanted to settle up, as we had already paid the deposit for the turtle tattoos we wanted. When we got there, we were asked to hand over our IDs. I was met with hostility just for asking. I asked him for his name but was ignored. I asked again, he said "leave me alone." Come to find it, it was a manager named Fred. I explained to Fred about my right to look over what the ID was being used for and he said for paperwork so I asked to see the paperwork & that's when he scoffed at me. I don't know what kind of business he thinks he's running but this was unacceptable. Brandon told me to ignore him & he was focused on taking care of us, which is fine but still extremely unprofessional of Fred's behavior. I let him know I was going to make this review. Brandon is awesome, I would recommend him 100%. This situation could've been handled differently 100%. The manager, "Fred" needs to take a course on business management & customer service. Especially when you're in the tattoo business. Do better. I don't expect this place to be around for a long time with its current management. read more

Perfect way to ring in the new year- with a tattoo AND my 500th review! YAY! High Class Tattoo is located in Midway in a little shopping center near Taco Bell. There is plenty of parking, although it could get busy/full since there are other establishments there. The shop was pretty quiet other than the buzzing sounds of the machines. Very rooomy & clean in there. Found Diego Flores on Instagram & was immediately attracted to his work. He was exactly the kind of artist I was looking for. He's really nice and courteous, not pushy at all and really got what I wanted in a tattoo. Slid into his DMs for an appt not needing a deposit since it wasn't a very big tattoo. That requirement might change depending on what you want/need. Pricing was good, I think his shop minimum was $100. Diego executed my tat really well! He gave me clear instructions on how to take care of it. Great guy overall! Was out of the shop after about an hour and a half. Very pleasant experience at High Class Tattoo SD. Did a random walk-in with my boyfriend about 3 hours before closing! We got each others name tattooed by ISAAC!! The quality is absolutely beautiful and amazing! The vibes were great and he was super cool! Prices were absolutely reasonable for our tattoos! Total time it took from arriving, getting the design and leaving was no more than at least 40 minutes will be returning for more tattoos! Thanks Isaac!! read more

I took my girlfriend here to get her nipples pierced. the gentleman that did the piercing seemingly used a needle that was not new and dull. it took him about 30 seconds to pierce each nipple. He even took a break midway through the nipple. And to seal the deal he took a picture of her boobs for his collection that he doesn't show anyone... horrible experience, girlfriend is slightly traumatized. 0 stars if possible. read more

Couldn't ask for better tats! This was our second time in 2 years to visit while on vacation to San Diego. My hubby and I decided to get his and hers seahorses for our anniversary. I emailed them first for an estimate and had great correspondence with Edgar. We set a time and price. We showed up a little early and were instantly helped. Based on the pictures we had, the stencils were made up and we were ready to go. In less than 3 hours we were done With both by the same artist. Diego Flores is the man! He rents out a space in this studio (really nice studio, by the way) and his tattoos are on point!! I was blessed to have bumped into his Instagram profile (https://instagram.com/diegoflores.art?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) and came across some really impressive work. His art and just the energy he exuded from his posts drew me to him very quickly. I gotta say, I'm so happy with that decision. I love my tattoo and I loved the conversations. This place was great. I mostly appreciate the quick replies through yelp. I came in on Tuesday to get a nose piercing and the guys there were super nice, quick and clean. I had an issue when my piercing and thought that it was going to be a huge issue and it wasn't. I messaged through yelp and was told to come in. I came in and my jewelry was replaced with a better fitting part. Obviously we know why it's a 4 star rating. Really, I would give it 4.5 because of how great they fixed the problem. I just wish that I was given a little more information on the jewelry in my original appointment but if I get anymore piercings I'll for sure come back. Great prices, nice vibes and real cool looking shop read more

Absolutely in love with my tattoos! The process was super quick and easy. My ear tattoo sketch was too big and didn't properly fit my ear. Eloy redid it and managed to keep the original style that I drew in my sketch! He did a great job with his work and bedside manner. Highly recommend! Also, I felt VERY safe with the shop's COVID precautions. Temperature was taken and masks were worn. Even though I was getting my ear done, I was able to keep my mask on. Only making a few bucks from being in the military, I was looking for a place for my first tattoo with great quality and a fair price. After getting High class tattoo recommended to me so many times I felt like it was the right choice, AND IT WAS! They helped me from the time I stepped in, listening to exactly what I wanted. I had a half sleeve of an American flag and the owner did it in less then 4 hours! The detail is amazing! The whole staff was nothing but kind and professional. I will definitely becoming back! I have to say that my experience with High Class Tattoo was extremely bad. I made several appointments, and each time, the artist was late. One time, I waited two hours before the artist even showed up. I spent several thousand dollars with my artist. The only thing I received was inexperience and a not so well thought-out plan. After a certain point, I think my artist pretty much gave up on my tattoo. I received an excuse about the shop being sold, and the artist pretty much stopped responding to my requests. I can go on and on, so if you're thinking of getting a tattoo, I would stay clear of Low Class tattoo.. read more

I had my septum pierced here in April of last year, and I'm sad to say it was botched. It was pierced way too low in my nose, and the placement was totally wrong. Thankfully it healed without trouble and I was able to swap the jewelry without any problem. It looks alright unless you're looking at the hole itself, so it was salvageable. The atmosphere was fine and I felt welcome and comfortable, but unfortunately that was canceled out by the whole situation. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!!!!! At first I walked in and said "I've been texting with Eloy". "Are you Eloy?" Apparently "his sons" are all names Eloy. He said, when questioned, "Oh my son's name is Eloy too". The guy who did my tattoo, name unknown, was sitting around for 15 minutes, talking with the other "Eloy. When I got up to leave, then he started working on the drawing. The drawing of the hummingbird was good. I just wish the tattoo was. It looks like the bird's head is floating. The bird is decapitated. When I attempted to ask him, he showed me the picture. Oh yes, when I asked to see his work, " he did this portrait of my son." I should have known better. He charged $300. Now I have to pay to get this fixed. It looks like if I looked at a picture and colored in-between the lines. Well, except for the decapitated head and the tail. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Oh, I almost forgot, the lady with another artist, had to redraw her tattoo. The "artist ' was too busy talking to another artist. read more

Me and my Bestie decided to get matching Friday the 13th tattoos and I follow Tianna on Instagram and saw her shop was doing badges for 40$! We headed over and the vibe was impeccable. Waited for a longggg minute cause they were so busy, but the whole thing was an good experienced To say the least! We're obsessed with our little badges and I can't wait to go back in and get more work done! Owner was hilarious and super friendly. 10/10 would recommend. High Class Tattoo is a perfect name for this company because they are a class act top-notch all the way organization. I don't know why we can only give five stars because they surpassed the five star rating. From the moment I got there, I was greeted by the girl at the front, asked to fill out papers, present my ID, take my temperature and all of the other precautions that were doing now with this pandemic. Eloy the owners and his wife have done a fantastic job in decorating the office, as well as the furnishings. And hats off to the staff they have hired. The place is large and there's quite a few people working there but more than enough room for everyone. When you have a tattoo done it's something you're going to have for the rest of your life and I've had tattoos before where you're just in and out like a cattle call. Eloy and I communicated back and forth for about a week going over pictures and sketches and ideas for my tattoo. He really took an interest and it made me feel comfortable knowing I was going to get what I wanted. These people have a passion one guy came in while I was there and the tattooist was just excited and had a passion to do the artwork on this guy's arm. He was as excited as the guy getting it done. Two girls came while I was there just to have a simple name put on their back and the artist as well as, the owner Eloy sat down with them to ensure that everything was the way that they wanted it. Not done at one of those cookie cutter tattoo places that herd you in and out and don't really care what they're doing to your body. I can't say enough about this place. I can't recommend them any further or give them any more thumbs up. Like I said, they're a class act. Thank you so much the portrait you did of my sister is absolutely beautiful. I love it my parents love it I'm sending everybody to you.. Keep up the good work, your five star. read more

We were looking for an on the spot matching tattoos and walked in this shop at 11:30 and were out by 1:30, 3 tattoos, pretty simple but loved that they were willing to do it right away and were quick, helpful, informative and quick. Had my first tattoo here yesterday. Fell into this hidden gem by accident. Didn't even know I was going to get one, but after seeing Justin's work I was convinced this is who I want and I'm getting it today. When I walked in the atmosphere was casual. Music playing in the background. Very cool Latin owner directed Me To a Young man named Justin. His demeanor was that of an artist, very laid back, quiet, humble. He started off by showing me his Instagram and work he had done previously ... I actually picked one from his portfolio. So beautiful. his creative mind tweaked it until it was my style, feminine and an original. Amazing! I'm so happy with the results, can't stop looking at it. Thanks Justin, you are truly gifted. This was my third time coming to this shop, Im absolutely in love with all my tattoos done here and all the staff are wonderful! This was an important thing for myself to do and this place was recommended to me by a coworker who had piercings done there. Very simply...everyone was helpful with the process. it was a busy time where people were walking in and almost filling the place up. I brought my husband and my kids (older kids like adults) to join me. I was assigned to Mateo. From beginning to end, he was very kind and made me feel comfortable for what I was about to do. Place was very clean, organized and had sterile rooms for the piercings. I really appreciated the privacy too. Every step Mateo took, he educated me and informed me every step he was about to do before the nose piercing began. Then it was over....and was very happy how it turned out and how supportive he was moving forward. I realize everyone else experience has been or will be different, but I think it is worth mentioning the good experiences for first timers like myself. Going back for a follow up to make sure all is fine (which I think it has been) and going for a second piercings on my ears. :)

She had her hands full with customers both on the phone and in person, and made sure each of us was seen promptly. There is no lot parking but I got lucky with street parking when I went. The doorway is oddly cramped but there is a separate seating area just inside to the left, and they have a lot of cool art and cases full of jewelry on offer. My appointment started on time and Francheska was so helpful! She worked with me to pick the appropriate piece of jewelry for my piercing and changing it out was quick and painless. I appreciate that she offered options at lower price points, I think that is a major green flag for integrity. She asked if I had any other questions and she was able to accommodate a quick piercing cleaning as well as a downsize. I did not know one of my other piercings needed to be further downsized so I am grateful she noticed and had the time to do that for me as well. Overall, I have been coming to Enigma for all my piercing needs for as long as I've been in San Diego, and will continue to do so. Francheska is new to Enigma (but plenty of prior experience), but I highly recommend her for your piercing related needs!

He was quick to respond and asked for a $200 deposit, which I sent via Apple Pay on March 5 to the shop owner. We booked for March 16. Leading up to the appointment, he would send random updates on the design, but nothing was finalized. I gave feedback and stayed patient, even knowing they had a Friday the 13th event going on. I didn't hit him up again until March 15 (the day before my appointment) because we STILL didn't have a finished design, which is wild. He tells me he'll have it done that day. Cool. Then a few hours later, I get a generic email saying my appointment is canceled. No explanation. Nothing. So I reach out to the number I sent my $200 to asking for a refund, and instead of handling it like professionals, they get confrontational and start acting like I'm the problem for asking for MY money back. They try to hide behind a "no refund" policy... even though THEY canceled on me. Make that make sense. I added my conversation with the artist, since the owner wants to claim harassment. Judge for yourself. No policy was ever clearly shown to me, and communication was trash the entire time. Instead of owning their mistake, they blamed me and got disrespectful. I only got my money back after I told them I'd file a chargeback with my bank and take them to small claims court. Go read their bad reviews--you'll see a pattern, especially with how the owner talks to customers. Super unprofessional. Save your time, save your money, and go somewhere else.
