Ivan doesn't need another five star review but I can't help but give him one. We bought a house in Roseville that had such poor lighting it was like a dark cave. High End Electric spent four days upgrading our house lighting. He installed 4" ceiling can lighting in multiple rooms, LED light bars in closets, two chandeliers that I bought including one that required a ladder for installation in a stairwell, a plug for my car charger, cut the walls to add outlets where I wanted them and removed ones I didn't want, removed an old ADT security system and replaced with a Ring security system and flood lights, replaced dimmer switches and added Wi-Fi enabled switches, and changed out all the wall plates so that everything would be matching. He also exchanged fluorescent lighting in our closet and garage for LED lights and moved a ventilation fan in our laundry room so we could add more cabinets. He was patient with my perfectionistic nature and many questions (mostly because I'm curious and like to learn). He and his team showed up on time and worked from 8 AM to 5 PM with only a brief break for lunch. I wish all contractors could be as professional and reliable. On top of that, he doesn't overcharge like some electricians in this area do. He also referred me to someone who did an excellent job with drywall repairs. read more

From start to finish we had an excellent experience with Ivan. I called for a quote and to discuss the various projects we were thinking of undertaking in our new home he patiently explained our different options and was happy to provide rough cost estimates (which ended up being spot on and very fair). He ended up installing 6 recessed LED lights in our living room, re-wiring 20 outdated 2-prong outlets and adding 8 GFCI outlets in our garage. All of it looks great and is working perfectly. As a new home owner entering a 70+ year old home I had a lot of questions and I really appreciated that Ivan gave solid advice with my best interest in mind. Rather than selling us on every project he told us it'd be better to save some projects for the future (e.g. don't re-wire the garage now, we may want to add an electric vehicle charging station down the line). We first hired him based on Yelp reviews to come and assess our flickering lights, and after taking a look (that same day!), he moved around some breakers which helped somewhat, but said that it was ultimately due to our worn out panel. So we hired him for our long overdue panel upgrade and were thoroughly impressed every step of the way with his communication. I had Ivan come out and install a charger for my new car. He works with SMUD as a certified contractor so processing any rebates due from SMUD is easy. He was on time and communicated with me throughout the estimate and installation. I had 4 electricians come over and give me an estimate for 3 outdoor lights that needed to be hardwired. 1 said they could do it but then when they came for the installation they backed out . The other three said it would be complicated and would need to open the walls but it was doable . A coworker gave me the number to High End Electric. He was very sure of his ability to do the job. He sent me an estimate about 3 hours later. The price was a little more than the others but I had a good feeling about his ability and scheduled the installation. We hired Ivan to replace our old Zinsco electrical panel after learning in the home inspection that these panels could lead to fire or electrical problems. We got several quotes and Ivan's stood out for being a fair price and for advising us about a potential issue with the inspection that another electrician did not mention. Ivan was a great communicator and was willing to work with us to find a date for the replacement that was reduced the inconvenience of being without power while we're both working from home. Ivan did a FABULOUS job replacing our knob and tube wiring and upgrading our panel. I got quotes from two other electricians and right off the bat Ivan's attention to detail really struck me. He provided a fully itemized quote, helpful suggestions on what projects were necessary vs. what we could delay, and handled all the permits with SMUD. Our home is on the older side with a crawl space and attic that are a tight fit. Ivan and his team were able to work with these constraints when running new wires and only ended up needing to make one very small hole in the dry wall. They went above and beyond my expectations in terms of cleaning up the job site and even doing some touch up paint work where the new light fixtures went in. I also appreciated Ivan's pro-active approach and eye for design. He suggested where to swap out small fixtures for recessed lighting that modernized the look of the hallway and kitchen.
