I appreciated her taking the time to see him, but I didn't appreciate her scaring us, and our kid, into thinking he needed a crown on a baby tooth. Thankfully the office staff were kind but it was very crowded in the office. The chairs that the kids sat in were all pretty close together. So there wasn't much privacy between the doc and the patient, since the patient next to us could hear everything. Not to mention, the treatments Dr. Lee recommended supposedly needed to be done right away, but when we asked the front office what days they had available, they said they couldn't fit him in until July. The staff and the dental professionals were all kind, but I'm afraid this just isn't the office for us.

She was incredibly friendly, kind, patient, and wonderful with our son during his first dental visit. She made the experience as comfortable as possible, and she's the main reason this review remains at 4 stars. The front office staff was also kind, although the office itself felt a bit chaotic. It seemed unusually busy for a Friday morning, the waiting area was fairly small, the second-floor location wasn't the most convenient, and the office felt a little stuffy, as it didn't seem like the A/C was running very well. One thing that also stood out was the pricing. When I called to schedule the appointment, we were quoted $50 for the consultation. However, upon arrival, we were charged $59 instead. The payment was collected immediately without any mention of the difference from the original quote. We were also informed there would be a 3% fee for paying by credit card, although there was no additional fee for using a debit card. While the price difference wasn't significant, I would have appreciated being notified ahead of time if the consultation fee had changed. I also wanted to provide some context regarding my original review. At the time, there was a sign offering a free goody bag in exchange for leaving a 5-star Yelp review. Looking back, I don't feel that this encouraged completely unbiased reviews, and it's something I think potential patients should be aware of. Like many parents, I was motivated by the opportunity to receive something special for my son. After I submitted my review, the front desk staff seemed unsure what the prize was supposed to be. They eventually put together a small bag with toiletries and candy and mentioned they were "out of plushies," which sounded like the item they typically gave away. Once we were taken to the treatment area, I noticed there was a row of chairs with multiple children receiving treatment at the same time. Everyone is consistently professional, kind, and welcoming, and the quality of care is excellent. Over the years, I've completed Invisalign and had my wisdom teeth removed through their office. When Dr. Devani discovered that one of my teeth had a dead nerve, he referred me to an excellent endodontist for a root canal. The procedure and recovery went smoothly, and Dr. Devani continued helping me afterward with the appearance of the tooth. Michelle has often been my dental hygienist, and she is wonderful. They were terrified to go but Dr. Ishioka was so kind, so gentle, used child-friendly language, and truly listened to both the kids and to me as their mom to ensure that everyone was comfortable throughout. Her communication with me as a parent was excellent, both before their appointments and for follow up afterwards. My 3 year old had to have a tooth extracted and I was shocked at how calmly and patiently she approached him and explained everything to him. She listened to him when he needed a break and really went above and beyond to ensure that the procedure was successful -- without sedation! She even called afterwards to make sure he was okay. My 6 year old is pretty sensitive and nervous and she used a variety of excellent tools and strategies to ensure that he got a good quality cleaning, exam, and x-rays while still going at his pace without forcing or pressuring him. It's also really clean inside and a good amount chairs for service. It's a small office but they do handle their work flow really well.
