For kids, they have televisions on the ceiling. Come on! Where was this when I was a kid?!? My children are always asking when we are installing ceiling TVs at home. Sorry, not happening. The first time when we came here, my daughter was scared and brought her stuffed animal for comfort. The dentist gave the stuffy an "exam" too, just to make her feel more comfortable. Remembering that kindness still hits me in the feels. These professionals clearly work with kids because they enjoy it. And in both cases, Dr. Lee has recommended pretty extreme treatment options. On both occasions we got a total of 3 pediatric dentist opinions, and both times Dr. Lee's recommendations were out of left field. I appreciated her taking the time to see him, but I didn't appreciate her scaring us, and our kid, into thinking he needed a crown on a baby tooth. Thankfully the office staff were kind but it was very crowded in the office. The chairs that the kids sat in were all pretty close together. So there wasn't much privacy between the doc and the patient, since the patient next to us could hear everything. Not to mention, the treatments Dr. Lee recommended supposedly needed to be done right away, but when we asked the front office what days they had available, they said they couldn't fit him in until July. The staff and the dental professionals were all kind, but I'm afraid this just isn't the office for us.

When my insurance changed about 4 years ago, I switched to my wife's dentist and realized I had never had an EXCELLENT dentist like Dr. Nick and his staff. I've since had a filling and 2 old fallen-out crowns replaced, and the care has been both superb and affordable, with almost no waiting. All of their equipment is state-of-the-art (as far as I can tell), which probably speeds things up considerably, but it also feels like they value your time so the next person you need (hygienist, dentist, receptionist, etc.) is ready to go as soon as it's their turn up at the plate, though they explain everything thoroughly and don't rush you out, either. The entire experience is friendly, cost-conscious but not cheap, and seamless in a way that must take a ton of hard work and coordination behind the scenes. It's all very impressive and feels like a place where people enjoy their work because they do it so well. I've also never been pitched a bunch of products or procedures I didn't need. In fact, several times Dr. Nick or his associates have explained why I didn't need something in particular (like the anti-bacterial UV treatments ex-smokers sometimes need...the bacteria count didn't justify it for me). I don't write many reviews, but I also don't often run into an experience like that provided by Premier Smiles. My wife has perfect, toothpaste-model teeth, and I wish I'd come here a long time ago like she did so I would, too (and she'd stop showing them off all the time to make me jealous). I can't recommend Premier Smiles highly enough; the entire operation is truly remarkable.

They were terrified to go but Dr. Ishioka was so kind, so gentle, used child-friendly language, and truly listened to both the kids and to me as their mom to ensure that everyone was comfortable throughout. Her communication with me as a parent was excellent, both before their appointments and for follow up afterwards. My 3 year old had to have a tooth extracted and I was shocked at how calmly and patiently she approached him and explained everything to him. She listened to him when he needed a break and really went above and beyond to ensure that the procedure was successful -- without sedation! She even called afterwards to make sure he was okay. My 6 year old is pretty sensitive and nervous and she used a variety of excellent tools and strategies to ensure that he got a good quality cleaning, exam, and x-rays while still going at his pace without forcing or pressuring him. I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Ishioka and her team. We'll absolutely continue care with her and my kids are actually looking forward to their next visit!
