I called David and sent emails with pictures and he claimed that I was being scammed and wanted to charge me to have the mold tested when clearly my walls were falling apart. He has not replied to my emails and I will report him to the better business bureau. I have plenty of pictures to prove it. His negligence put me in a financial hardship.

Working with the realtor, Acusystems was recommended, in particular David G. The inspection was performed and I received the reports stating their were some minor issues. I used this inspection as part of my decision to move forward and buy the house. Prior to the move, I scheduled an air conditioner company to go and perform a check-up and change all filters. During this service, it was noted that the air conditioning filter and vent contained mold and rust that were never mentioned on the inspection report from Acusystems. It is my opinion that the Acusystem inspection by David G was nothing more then turning the air conditioner on and once it worked, check the box. Due to this miss, I needed to invest in repairs in the thousands of dollars. When I contacted my realtor and David G, I was told it must of been something that happened after the inspection. Rust and mold do not appear overnight. The response I received when I reported this was "call your insurance company, maybe they'll take care of it". Needless to say, they did not since the issues were caused before the purchase of the house and subject to my policy. I would never use this company again, nor recommend their services to anybody else I care about.

When they went in to see what the problem was, they found out that the wiring was installed incorrectly. Inside the house there were wires hidden and connected to nothing. The fuse box was not the correct one to use with the AC. I was told they couldn't believe my house did not catch on fire this whole time. I tried calling them and letting them know and I was told by one of the men that did the inspection in a nasty voice we closed down and don't do inspections anymore and hung up on me when I told him about the issue. They also did not catch that it was the wrong thermostat and wires in the wall were not connected. All of these issues should have been seen by a professional home inspection. They dropped the ball. No wonder they are not in business anymore.

We had a new roof installed earlier this year, so now that it's time to secure new insurance, I called the roofing company we had used (Trust Roofing) and asked if they could recommend someone to do both a wind mitigation and 4-point inspection. They referred me to Joe at JBW. I was hoping to get this done in the next couple of weeks, but when I called on Thursday afternoon, they told me they could have Joe come out the very next morning at 9 a.m. He arrived a few minutes early and got right to work on the exterior portion of the inspection. When it was time for him to come inside, he even changed into clean shoes which was much appreciated! Overall, Joe was polite, thorough, and took the time to explain everything in detail. I had the inspection done Friday morning, and had both reports completed and ready to send to the insurance broker by midday Monday. They charged a fair price, and even said if I had one item fixed by a certified electrician, to just have them send a photo and they'd update my report without charging me. I wouldn't hesitate to call JBW again if I needed an inspection done!

Dave, the owner of Thomson, went through the house and found everything that was wrong, be it large or small. He documented each issue using both words and pictures and made suggestions for how what we might want to do to fix them. He then compiled all of this information in a big blue binder with his business name on it and sent it to us in the mail (as well as through email). When our insurance company required us to fix something quickly and complete a wind mitigation or risk being dropped, Dave came back out when we were ready for him and reinspected the issue. He answered my questions about the process and also explained why he was doing what he was doing and what some of the insurance company's lingo meant. He was easy to talk to and well informed about what he was doing. Because we didn't shop around, I can't really comment on Thomson's prices (were they too high? were you getting a steal?). I do know that they seemed reasonable for the amount of information that we were given.
