The popcorn was a good size for a small and I could add my own butter. The nacho chips came in a bag and then i had to empty them into the box they gave me. Same thing with the cheese, it came in a little cup, but surprisingly it was warm. The theater room itself was clean which was nice. Something I really enjoy about coming here is the seating. I love how the chair can recline! I even realized that they have a warmer too.

However, after getting past that, I was excited to take advantage the discounted Tuesday tickets. I went to see Wicket: For Good, and the process of entering the theater, visiting concessions, and finding our seats was solid. The screen size was big and the volume of the movie was loud, but not excessive. I was also happy with the comfy reclining chairs. A couple of detractors included, 1- the reclining chairs were a little beat up; 2- there were a lot of commercials (in addition to some previews, which are welcome) shown before the movie, the lobby is small and there really wasn't much of a place to wait before entering the theater. Overall my experience was good. They have membership programs, which are definitiely a good value for frequent visitors. For an infrequent visitor, like myself, the Tuesday discount was perfect!

For the two of us, we spent only $2. This beats renting a DVD and watching it at home in a heartbeat. The line wasn't long and the employees were friendly as well. The screen was very big and sound was great. The film started on time instead of having 30 minutes of previews. I didn't give this theater 5 stars because of where it is located, and it's not the cleanest theater around. However, it is definitely worth more than the price and we will continue to view films here.

I have seen about 10 movies here since we moved to Greensboro a few years ago and have never had a bad experience. For an older theater, I have never had any complaints about picture quality or sound quality. I can think of a couple times that I thought the floor was a little sticky, but I'm sure one large drink spilled would make half the theater sticky. I've never seen excess trash or popcorn on the floor so you can tell they try to keep it clean between shows. I recommend this place to anyone that enjoys going out to see a movie but thinks most theaters are just way overpriced.

Can be on the busier side at times, and the concessions stand can sometimes feel quite long, but the staff are all quite attentive and the line goes fast. I loved the comfort of my seats and the sound quality of the theatres. I'm slowly working my way through all of the theaters in the triad to see which one is my favorite, but this one is relatively at the top of the list.

I like the grand at friendly for the simple fact that we can go to dinner in friendly and the movie theater is right there. I was surprised that they had so many cool things you can buy at the snack counter. They've come a long way since the last time I was there in that regard. The staff was also super friendly which I appreciate. As far as our movie experience I love the reclining seats and how roomy it is. Someone forgot to turn the lights off when the movie started so all of the previews and the first five minutes of the movie were in the bright lights but they eventually went off. The bathrooms could use some attention. Some of the doors don't lock and some toilets need unclogged and cleaned. Overall we had a good experience and will be back!

Immediately when walking in there was no less than 4 staff members standing around in an empty theater doing nothing while there was popcorn and trash ALL over the floor. The counters were all disgusting, sticky and trash everywhere. There was no popcorn made and when asked they said they "might" make some "soon". No urgency to make popcorn for paying customers. The slushie machines looked like they hadnt been made in years. They were literally grey like moldy. We went into the theater. It was absolutely disgusting. Every chair was worn down and had trash and sticky or buttery residue. Half the chairs the recline feature didnt even work. The sound quality was awful. Could barely hear it. We asked staff to turn it up and nothing changed. Shortly after the sound died completely. We told the staff and it was "fixed" but it was still at a very low register. Possibly even lower than before. We could hear every one around us inside and outside, and the theaters on either side. Literally could hear everything BUT the movie we came to see. The bathrooms were not clean. It was overall an awful experience and I will not be back. It saddens me to see such a beautiful place declined so horribly.

It's nice that they have some local beers on draft too! The theatre itself was what you'd expect from a smaller theater. There are a few things that are pretty dated. The seats look like they are in pretty bad shape but they were actually surprisingly comfortable. The only real downside to my experience was that the sound proofing in my theater was pretty bad. I could hear almost everything going on in the theater next to us, especially during some of the quieter scenes of my movie.

We met the owner, Don Trexler and his pooch Oliver. We had such a great time, I decided to do a cost comparison between Trex Cinema vs Palladium on Samet Dr. The savings at Trex are significant! At Trex, Date Matinee or Date Night are great because the prices are the same..ALL DAY! 2 adults $7.50 ea 15.00 COMBO Large corn and large drink only $13.50 TOTAL $28.50 At Regal Palladium in Greensboro/ High Point, here's what you'd pay for the same matinee tickets and the same snacks. NOTE: Palladium tickets after matinee times are even more. Date matinee 2 adult tickets $13.99 = $27.98 1 large popcorn $12.49 1 large drink $ 8.49 TOTAL $48.96 (Trex would save you $20.46) Now let's do the math for a family of 4 TREX CINEMA FAMILY OF 4 Let's say you're a family of 4 and your 2 kids refuse to share. Honestly, why should they at these prices? Plus it saves you a headache. At Trex Cinema you can get Combo #1 is a small drink & small popcorn at $11.00ea x 2 kids = $22.00 Combo #3 large corn and drink $13.50 4 tickets $7.50 = $30 TOTAL TICKETS AND SNACKS $65.50 REGAL PALLADIUM FAMILY OF 4 (Matinee prices) 2 small drinks $8.49 ea = $16.98 2 small popcorns $10.49 = $20.98 1 large popcorn $ 12.49 and 1 large drink $8.49 = $20.98 So far, you've spent $58.94 for snacks. Now let's add tickets: 2 adult tickets $13.99 ea = $27.98 + 2 kids under 12 yo $12.99 ea = $25.98 Total for tickets $53.96 TOTAL TICKETS AND SNACKS $112.90 (Trex would save you $47.40!) So ask yourself.. "Do my kids need recliners to watch a movie?" The answer? They do not. Please support our locally owned and operated movie theater and save yourself a lot of money. The theater and bathrooms are exceptionally clean (no sticky floors). The Orville Redenbacher popcorn kernels are organic, popped in coconut oil and are naturally gluten free. The coconut oil keeps popped corn fresh and crunchy for several days, so if you can't finish it, take it home! The odds are in your favor to meet the owner Don Trexler and his trusty and very sweet sidekick, Oliver. If you're really lucky, Mrs. Trexler may be there too. All of their employees are exceptionally polite. This theater provides a wonderful, local experience.

Our movie was supposed to start at 7 pm Friday night. They said it was taking long to download it. We had decided if it hadn't started by 8 we would leave. Almost exactly at 8 they said they had it downloaded in the 2nd theater so we needed to move theaters. They were very gracious and refilled everyone's popcorn and sodas (earlier offered a refundfor those that didn't want to wait). I had ordered the medium combo and my friend the large. Our total was 38.00 including the movie tickets. No, it's not updated like a new theater, but spending less than the normal 80.00 to 100.00 for 2 adults for a movie.....priceless!! I will be driving a little out of my way from now on, for a movie night.
