Our movie was supposed to start at 7 pm Friday night. They said it was taking long to download it. We had decided if it hadn't started by 8 we would leave. Almost exactly at 8 they said they had it downloaded in the 2nd theater so we needed to move theaters. They were very gracious and refilled everyone's popcorn and sodas (earlier offered a refundfor those that didn't want to wait). I had ordered the medium combo and my friend the large. Our total was 38.00 including the movie tickets. No, it's not updated like a new theater, but spending less than the normal 80.00 to 100.00 for 2 adults for a movie.....priceless!! I will be driving a little out of my way from now on, for a movie night.

Covered because of the bus terminal and super accessible. The box office had out tickets and we scanned in with the gentleman waiting at the bottom of the stairs. Concession was open with beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks. I grabbed a moscato and a couple bottles of water. The film festival is almost 2 hours long. Beautiful and amazing. Comes once a year. You really need to try it.

I have been to Theatre Alliance multiple times and every show I have seen is spectacular even for the small space on the little stage. There is a small lobby, a fully stocked bar and a great helpful staff. The layout is very well organized and a great use of space. I didn't feel too closed in and there was a great ventilation system. The actors were very professional and very polished and I was amazed at how they managed to pull off a play called "Groundhog Day". Afterward we stayed to have our picture taken w the cast, what fun! There is an upstairs theater as well that they use for bigger productions I assume. Can't wait to see their next production, you can't go wrong for an excellent quality play and $21 ticket!

If you have never seen UNCSA's The Nutcracker then you are missing out. Highly recommend. Of course, it is only during the Christmas season. You can get tickets online and pick your seat from their web site. They do sell snacks and drinks (including wine), at least for The Nutcracker. Also, Nutcracker items are also for sell, They do take plastic. Regarding the Stevens Center. Loved the building. Seating was comfortable. Aisles for the seating are narrow so expect to have to standup to let people by. Two levels, orchestra and balcony levels. I personally have not had a bad seat. Only downside is if you get a big headed giant who sits right in front of you, but this can happen at most venues. So why 4 stars and not 5 for the Stevens Center? 1) The entrance lobby is small. For popular events, it is too small to handle the crowd trying to get in. I will give credit to the staff for efficiently processing the tickets. 2) The orchestra level lobby is also small. Very crowded as everyone is waiting to get in and during intermission. 3) Not enough restrooms to handle capacity crowds. When intermission starts, you better run to the restroom otherwise you can be in a line 20 people deep. Despite the minor downsides, probably due to it being an old historic building, it is a great venue.

Visually, it's beautiful! The art that is scattered around as you walk through the building adds to the museum like atmosphere. The main theatre where the performances take place is gorgeous and feels quite cavernous, however the seating isn't amazing, gorgeous, and it's CERTAINLY NOT cavernous. The seats are crammed together. I didn't measure, so I can't be sure, but I would say they must be significantly closer together, with less legroom than airline seats. Fortunately, the performance was so entertaining, that I was able, to a large extent, to ignore the painful seating.

The auditorium can be customized for any even from cocktail tables to standing room only. They have balcony/pew seating on second level. And they have a lounge to order drinks. Parking available is street parking or nearby parking deck. Security was good but not overbearing. Sound quality to my taste was good, not extremely loud but very clear. Attended a Morgan Wallen concert on a Thursday night at Cone Denim. Had to wait a while to get in…read moreafter doors opened. It was a 35 degree evening so that was unpleasant. It did seem like efforts were being made to get people in as quickly as possible while still checking IDs and completing a security check. As others have mentioned, the venue is pretty narrow. In light of recent events, I had some concerns about how to respond in case of an emergency. Those quelled eventually but it was my first thought coming in. Sound and lighting were good. The floor has just enough of a slope that I didn't feel bad about blocking someone else's view. As with most places, if you're in the front and you need to get a drink or go to the bathroom, getting back to your group is going to be next to impossible. There definitely aren't designated aisles or pathways to allow for crowd movement. Beer prices were reasonable given the venue/event. Tallboys help prevent having to return to the bar frequently. Best to go to the bathrooms upstairs as they are much larger. I'd go back to an even at Cone Denim.
