They take too long to clean teeth and I don't like waiting 30 minutes for this shitty

COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL Having recently moved into the area my wife and I were looking for a new dentist. After confirming they worked with my insurance, I set an appointment. Before I could go to my new patient appointment, my wife had a dental emergency with a crown, so I called them to make an appointment for her to see if they could help with her issue. Due to their limited hours, it was tough to make an appointment because she works a 9-5 job. The receptionist wouldn't make an exceptions to help set up a later time and told me we had to come in during hours. Because they we unwilling to help with a later appointment, my wife had to request to leave work early to make it to the office on time for the appointment at 5:30pm, which was the time the receptionist picked. When we got there, we were basically told the dentist couldn't help today because she MIGHT have to stay longer depending on the work that was needed. This really sucked because I explained the whole situation to the receptionist before we made the appointment, and she was the one who told us to come in at 5:30pm KNOWING THE SITUATIONS I DESCRIBED!!!!! Bottom line, if you don't care enough about two new clients to MAYBE have to spend more time at the office for an appointment that we had to bend over backwards to make, you just don't care. I canceled my original appointment I had for two days from now, and we left. Back to finding a new dentist who actually cares about their clients, rather than getting home on time! read more

I had my teeth fix here and it was good experience. I got my Invisalign and the appointments were set and they were kind to help me when I had problems. I started in 2021-2024 when I got it done and my teeth are straight and I smile more confident now. Thank you for the care and health. read more

just now Sent my daughter there for a cleaning and xrays for a toothache. She was told 6 cavities! Also told that if she didn't get it done soon she'd end up with dentures(while pushing a pair of them toward her on the table). They said they never do a cleaning on the first visit...odd. Went for a 2nd opinion and it turns out she has NO cavities! The toothache was caused by an uneven bite...quite an easy fix! This place is doing unnecessary work on teerh for profit. Stay far away! This is a post-mortum on some work I had done about 4 years ago. I had a double root canal here with Dr. Paros. It was a awful experience the whole way; I felt she kept pressing unnecessary treatments on me (Invisaline, wisdom tooth removal, etc.) and I knew I did not need either of these things. I had my teeth cleaned and she insisted on taking some xrays to check her own work, which drove up the bill substantially. While I was getting my procedures done, she was training several people and did not ask if I was cool with this. One kept scraping the inside of my cheek with the spit removal tool and I asked her to go lightly; she laughed and didn't bother. One almost used the wrong bonding material on my crowns. I also had some cavities filled and, after all this work, my teeth have not been the same. I was speaking to some coworkers that had similar experiences with her and wish I had this conversation with them years sooner. I urge any person considering dental work avoid her, or, at the very least, go to a different dentist at this practice. read more

I have received the best service from a dentist office at this location. Since I was a child, going to the dentist was one of my least favorite things to do. Dr. Stephanie Tsai made the experience bearable and not fearful like I remember from my childhood. All of my needs were met and the Saturday appointments are a plus in my busy life. When I visiting this dental office. Everyone whom I cane in contact was a Gem. They assisted me with keeping an eye of my newborn baby while getting treatment information. I think both the staff and my son enjoyed this. Lol. The hygienist Yolanda was awesome. She was patient and very thorough. My experience with Dr. Paros and High Point Dental goes back roughly 12 years. In that time, my wife, son and daughter in-law have also visited High Point for their needs. My first impression of High Point Dental was quite pleasant and for me to say that is drastically out of the norm. You see, I had an occasion when I was very young when my face attempted to occupy the same space at the same time with a baseball bat. Needless to say, I lost that battle and dentures were installed. Many years later I enlisted in the Navy and both upper and lower dentures were completely replaced with bridges. The best part of that deal was the US Government paid the bill and thankfully so as the work was sub par. After about twenty years, the upper bridge fell out - simply fell out. It was replaced with another sub par bridge that is still in place today. So, needless to say, I have spent more time in a dentist chair than I wanted and the majority of that time has been very unfavorable. But Dr. Paros and her staff were different. Their examination rooms are comfortable, the Hygenist's that we've had have all been friendly and accommodating. As I mentioned, I have spent a great deal of time in a dentists chair. So I believe I can speak with some background and experience. Dr. Paros and her staff are top shelf. They treat us with respect while demonstrating the utmost in professionalism. She has earned my trust and that is NOT easy to do. I have given this business 4 stars because I rarely give 5 as most business, including this one, can always find room for improvement. read more

This place told me I needed several thousands in dental work and a deep cleaning treatment. They seemed to be pushing much more treatment than I needed, which gave me a bad feeling... so I got a second opinion. I am very grateful I did! I was told by the next dentist, a week later, that I have nothing wrong with my teeth, only needed a basic 6 month cleaning and there was no way I was in need of a very expensive deep cleaning or the thousands of dollars worth of additional care. Sooooooooooooo Disappointed with this staff in particular Sandy my daughter appointment was cancelled cause she didn't confirm and make the payment a week in advance.When did this start?!?!?!?!!?! I know for a fact if you have an appointment you don't call to cancel your appointment stands and if you miss your appointment there will be a $50.00 cancellation fee. I have been going here for over 10 years cause we Love Dr.Parros but have had on going billing issues with them but have always looked passed that cause of Dr.Parros. My sister stopped going here years ago cause of billing and how the process their claims. read more

This place is a rip off they told me my kids had cavities and work that needed to be done my husband advised me that the prices were ridiculous so I should get a second opinion. I wish I could give this Place 6 STARS!! My experience with Dr. Paros and the entire Highpoint Dental Group Staff has been nothing but Amazing! In 2005 I had a traumatic experience in which I had 4 teeth knocked out by a softball (which by the way, was not very soft). I was immediately taken to St. Joes Hospital in Joliet. where they did not have an oral surgeon on hand, and basically did not know what to do with me in my situation. As I lied in the hospital bed my mom called Dr. Paros, she immediately ordered the hospital staff to release me and she opened the practice after hours to take care of me personally. she even called in extra staff! After that night, I finished the whole implant process at High Point and could not be happier. My teeth look great, like nothing ever happened! They were very accommodating in working with my insurance and getting me the proper financial support. If it had not been for Dr. Paros and her amazing staff, Who knows what would have happened to me that night at St. Joes. I know this is a special case, but since then I have been a loyal customer for routine check ups and cleanings and always leave happy and with a "Bright smile"! My family and I have been going here for years. Very shady billing and random bills saying "pay this amount from previous balance" but with no date or procedure. Funny...I keep getting bills but no one to return my phone calls. Since when does someone with a PPO dental plan pay nearly $400 for an annual cleaning? Yea we won't be returning. Dr. Paros has been my dentist for over almost 2 years now and I absolutely love her. The whole staff makes you feel comfortable and like family. I love her work, she's always available to see me and very easy to get a appointment. Every time I go in there we laugh so much which makes me don't want to leave and I almost forgot I went to the dentist. Since I been going to Dr. Paros my teeth is beautifully white and I've had filings and a root canal procedure. The treatment went very well and pleased with the outcome. Anyone will love this dental clinic because of its absolutely clean and cozy ambiance. The Hygienist is also nice and very accommodating. Dr. Paros makes you feel comfortable and explains every procedure in detail. They are the best and friendliest and most innovative dentist/team I have ever known! This office reported my review to yelp and said I reviewed the wrong provider. Um...I was reviewing how awful their billing office is. It's true the dentist I saw has left the practice, but that has nothing to do with their billing office. I will remove the dentists name and re-post this. I really like The dentist I saw. . That being said, I am not returning to this office because of billing issues. They have done two things that left a bad taste in my mouth. The first time, they estimated my daughter's treatment around $500 after my insurance. I paid before the service. When I got my EOB, it said I should have paid $260. I had to call them to point out the error. They refunded my money. The most recent time, I got a bill for x-rays. I asked why. My insurance denied it because they had done too many on my daughter this year. Then why do them? The staff is friendly. Carla is super nice. But I just get a nagging in my gut about their billing practices, and I can't let it go. We will be looking for a new dentist, and that is too bad. The office is clean, modern, and time, and they usually run on time. But when you get that feeling, you have to go with it. read more

This is the best Dental Facility I have ever been to. I have been a customer since 2012 and plan on staying here. They are Clean and professional on all levels. Dr. Paros put my needs into a proactive plan of what I MUST do and what I SHOULD do, then we worked that into a budget I and my insurance can handle. Like most, I came into her clinic with a mouth full of problems, but we are chipping away at them and "improving my smile", as they say! My Flex account agent brought to my attention that HP Dental over billed me for some charges. 1. After a closer look, I realized that network (PPO) adjustments are passed onto their customers... 2. Some of the insurance coding states that they have already billed for the services. 3. It might be a coincidence, but after I brought these issues to their attention, in January, the dentist "fixed" one tooth so that the food gets stuck there. 4. I am still trying to clean the account from the last year, and due to their slow reply my Flex card got locked many times and I lost my Flex spending benefits. I dropped Dr Paros about 2 years ago after an unfortunate incident. During a routine visit, she told me I had a cracked tooth that would require a cap. I had the process completed, and then I received news that my insurance denied the claim stating that the cap was unnecessary (only needed a filling). When I complained to the office, I was told there was nothing that Dr Parros could do. After I paid the almost $1000 out of pocket expenses and told the office that I would never return, I kept getting badgering calls trying to set up my next cleaning appt. I think the office has finally gotten the message. I've since switched Dentists and things are good. read more

I will NEVER go to this dentist office again! My daughter had a wisdom tooth pulled developed a severe infection and we could not get a hold of anyone not even an on-call dentist! I had to take her back 3 times because of the infection and had an e.r visit because we could not contact on-call dentist. When we went to fill rx for pain medication we were told rx was being held because there was a red flad on dentist name! Then I recieved a bill for over $400.00 and when I try to call the office rings with no answer or it connects and you recieve a sound as if it were a fax machine.
