I made a appointment for a cleaning for my teeth Dentist looked at my teeth and told me they wanted to me to get addition dental work, and they would submit a plan to my insurance ( i know it would not be covered ) They refused to preform the cleaning until they heard from my insurance about addition work. I lost all of my bottom teeth because of a lifetime of neglect prompted by horrible experiences at the hands of uncaring dentists. My son recommended Farrell Dental, and Dr. Iqbal. I first went to see her last June where she found 3 cavities. My fear kept me away until I finally got the nerve and went to get them done this April. Dr. Iqbal put my fears to rest, and she numbed me so well, that by the time she administered the shot, I couldn't even feel it. She fixed the three cavities and bonded by two front teeth. Today, like never EVER in my 68 years, I walked myself into Farrell Dental to get a cleaning, and I am actually looking forward to the next one in six months. Do not come here! Complete waste of time. Let me start with saying that I came in here for my first visit and had a good experience. Which is why I returned. I came back today for my 6 month cleaning and left with no services completed. I made an appointment for my husband and I, to both get a cleaning done and neither of us got one. When I booked my appointment I let them know that I also had a tooth that I would like the dentist to look at while I was here. Today, I came in, they brought me back to the chair and I waited about 20 minutes before someone came. When a hygienist finally came, she said ok let's take an X-ray. I was like well aren't I going to get my teeth cleaned first? She said no, your appointment today is just to check your teeth. I was like what?? I made an appointment for not only myself but for my husband to get his teeth cleaned as well. She said nope sorry you said you wanted us to check your tooth so it's either one or the other. I told her I had to get my cleaning done, it's the end of the year and I took off work today so I will just get my cleaning done then since it's what I made the appointment for. She said sorry, we don't have time to clean your teeth today. What! I said I even have the voice message you left me, confirming the 2 cleanings and I would play it for her. Long story short, they told me I needed to leave and I would get no services done and needed to come back. I left. I was already mad that I wasted my time and a day off work to come in. I went to wait outside . My husband the comes out 30 minutes later and says that they also did not clean his teeth and said that they recommend a deep clean instead and he will have to come back at another time. This was just unbelievable. I do not live close to the location and have to take time off of work just to come in and there was just no empathy at all. I could see if I made a mistake and did something wrong but I didn't. I made an appointment for a cleaning that I didn't get. Not to mention, after I left the workers continued to talk about me and degrade me until another employee reminded them that my husband was still in the room. I scheduled an appointment for a deep cleaning. When I went in they said they were just going to do a regular cleaning and it would be $400 for deep cleaning. With only speaking to front desk,I immediately left. A couple weeks later, I notice on my insurance that they charged it for a dental exam when nobody even touched my mouth. This is insurance fraud and I'm in talks with my insurance to get this removed. How dare they charge me for something that wasn't done. Unprofessional!!! Went in to Farrell Dental on 04/26 for I needed a check up and cleaning. I was greeted by Jazmine who was very welcoming and seen by Yaser Aaiya and most importantly Dr Rasjid. Let me tell you, I have been to various dental offices throughout my years, but Dr Raghid and her team were very professional and on point!!! First I would like to say that the front desk young ladies are all exceptional at their jobs. They deserve 10 stars. But the dentist here are less than stellar. I've had lots of dental work done in the last month or so and the last dentist Dr Harshini is below stellar. One visit I had my lip busted during an extraction and today I had numerous teeth worked on and she told me I would be fine and prescribed me nothing but salt water rinse at home. Unbelievable! The dentist refuses to do my 5 year olds fillings. She filled them 6 months ago they fell out and need to be replaced. She told me she's not refilling them! Then tells me that I have to drive to the city for a pediatric children's dentist to do the fillings. The dentist refused to give me leads on a suburban dentist that does this! why would I have to drive to the city for fillings! Guess what there's a dentist in Orland Park that is a pediatric dentist! This place does everything half backwards. I have always been to places when if you need something done, you get it done...they bill you insurance...and then you pay the copay. This place makes you pay the whole balance out of pocket...then once you insurance shows what they will cover, they give u that portion back. I am dental phobic and waited long to get my teeth checked. As I entered the office I instantly felt comfortable. The receptionists are amazing ladies. I had my initial visit with the dentist and had half my teeth deep cleaned without any pain. I have setup a treatment plan and they calmed me about pricing and offered to walk me through investigating ways for me to save. This office is both professional and caring which is very rare. This place was terrible. The office looks like it was thrown together and the office staff was rude. The woman who brought me back and took my xrays spoke with such slang that I couldn't understand what she was saying to me. I went in for a simple filling and they completely screwed it up. I tried to go back in to have them fix it and they told me I had to wait 6 weeks! I explained that I was experiencing pain and they didn't seem to care. I have since been to a different dentist...and he was dumbfounded by the quality of my filling. He said it was done with cheap material and was completed incorrectly. I have been to the office three times. On my second visit, my children (4 and 7) and I had our cleanings. My son is petrified of the dentist still, but I was allowed to stay right beside him and hold his hand. My daughter was also told that she needed to have two cavities filled, in addition to the tooth the orthodontist requested to be pulled. At the second visit I was given a detailed outline of the costs, I was shown what my insurance would cover and what my copay would be. Last weekend, we went in for my daughter's visit. The staff was very attentive to her as she was a bit nervous. She let Dr. Rashid know when she was feeling more than just pressure. Everytime my baby girl asked, the staff paused and tended to her. She was in a bit of pain during the process, but immediately after she was perfect. Dr. Rashid and her hygienist are amazing. I am thrilled with the way they care for my children. I also appreciate the transparency in billing. I knew one month ago what my cost would be for this visit - and the cost was the same to the penny. This practice seemed to have been getting better last year, but has gone downhill again. The front desk does not seem to answer the phone and the voicemail is usually full. They screw up the insurance pretty much every time we are there. The dentists are ok, but they change every time we go. I would recommend staying far away from this office!! My initial experience was pleasant. They were able to get my son in right away for a toothache, they quickly diagnosed the concern, gave us antibiotics and we scheduled a cleaning and exam. We had the cleaning and exam, scheduled another appointment to have his cavities filled, and they also referred us to an orthodontist. We went to the orthodontist and they couldn't put one of the top brackets, or the top wire, on because there was a large cavity on one of his front teeth. This was MAYBE 2 weeks after having all of his fillings done. I called this office back and asked if all of my son's treatment was completed, they said yes. I told the person on the phone what happened and he said, I can get you scheduled to get that taken care of. WHY WASN'T IT FOUND DURING THEIR "EXAM"?!! I ended up using the general dentist where the ortho dr is. I'm actually here now and they found 5 more cavities!!! I used to be a dental assistant, so I know a little bit about this field. The 5 others are between my son's teeth and should have been found on the full mouth set of X-rays this office took! I won't be taking any of my son's back and don't recommend you do either. read more

To begin this office doesn't ask you for a photo ID or any proof of documentation when bringing in a child which is very uncommon. I was complementing walking out because first thing I noticed was how filthy the office looked the chairs were disgusting some had human hair, dog hair and one was covered in Cheeto dust or some type of food the floor looks unswept and not to mention the corners of the floor have spider webs and dead bugs. When it was my child's turn to go I asked if I was able to go back with her the assistant said "after the X-rays I will come get you " that never happened to my surprise here comes my child out after a maybe 15 min cleaning to tell me she has cavities. The dentist I believe since not once did she introduce herself tells me she has multiple cavities and I asked to see her X-rays as I was in disbelief since she just got braces she had the all clear of no cavities. I have 11 years of experience in the dental field both front and back so I will definitely be getting a second opinion. Honestly the only reason I decided to come here was because it was convenient and the reviews I read but now I'm sure these reviews are from employees, employees friends and family because it is nothing like they claim. read more

For anybody serious about their dental health, I say 'beware' of Farrell Dental. I set up an emergency appointment there for a broken crown in my upper jaw where a bad infection had previously started at the same tooth that swelled up half my face and nearly closed my eye on that side (this can be life threatening, being so close to the brain). This earlier infection took four different antibiotics to control and a new infection was already setting in at the same place. The place is a real hole in the wall. On one side of 159th St. is a good sized office complex. Farrell Dental wasn't there. It was wedged into a 20 foot wide storefront between a couple of fly by night businesses on the other side of 159th, so it took me a good ten minutes to find in the first place. When I got there an unfriendly receptionist said I was one or two minutes past their deadline and refused to let me talk to a dentist about my emergency or see anybody even after I described my situation to her so I walked right out of there. I went to another place (Valley View Dental) and got an emergency checkup within two hours without even an appointment. This points out how more difficult and unsatisfactory being a patient at Farrell Dental is likely to be than in other dental facilities, unless you actually enjoy being bullied by part timers. And if there is a real health threat, don't expect any sympathy or understanding. I certainly didn't get any there. The place is small and it looks like there's no responsible personnel - their listed dentists appear only there to fill in gaps in their primary practices, so, except for low risk checkups or teeth cleaning and because of their obvious uncaring attitude, it'd be smart to go elsewhere. read more

I have been going to Farrell Dental for years now. Dr. Rashid is a very kind dentist, but unfortunately her work is poor. I've had a few root canals and fillings done by her, all of which other dentists have said were done poorly. This resulted in an infection requiring oral surgery, because they had my crown sitting in their office for over a year and never put it in. Also I am currently experiencing severe pain because of a filling, and they can't seem to get me into the office to get it fixed as they canceled my appointment over the weekend the morning of. The staff is constantly changing, and many of them aren't all that nice. Unorganized, and unsympathetic. I called the other day just to get put on hold for 10 minutes before getting transferred to an automated message. After my issue with the crown being lost for over a year, Dr. Rashid said they recently got a new office manager and that things like that would improve, but I definitely haven't seen any improvement. In summary, Farrell Dental is probably a great place to go if all you need is a cleaning, and I would even trust Dr. Rashid to pull teeth because she will do everything she can to keep you from being in pain while you're there. But, if you need anything more, find somewhere else. read more

I asked if I could stop in just to see someone to get some antibiotics and relief before having it fixed they said all they would do is give me an appointment 10 days later at 11:00 am. Seriously?
