Manitowoc ice maker at High Side

Definitely another nice place located along side the Arkansas River. Get to see rafters and kayakers doing their thing. Along with atmosphere the service, staff, beverages and food is very good! Great patio area! Great stop!

We own a salsa business, Lynda Sue's Kitchen, and deliver to LaGree's in Poncha Springs and Four Seasons RV Park in Salida. High Side is our go to place when we come to Salida and never disappointed. The food comes out hot and fresh. The staff is friendly and will take great care of you. Thanks to Scottie, Kit, Keatis and Jaden.

Chill spot with hard-working staff. I can see this being a great place to watch sports games if you're into that (or stay up late for food & drink) but my partner and I mostly came here because I was craving hot wings. I had that and a House Margarita, finishing the meal with Peanut Butter Cheesecake. The margarita was a little too sweet, and the cheesecake didn't hit the spot, but the wings were tasty. We walked over here from where we were staying in Salida, so I appreciate how easily accessible it was.

The bar and wait staff were great and it's plenty of room with TV's for sports and a nice outdoor area on the River.

Nestled among the peaks of the Sawatch Range, where tumbleweeds might theoretically roll if they weren't caught in the spokes of a passing bicycle, sits an establishment of peculiar perfection: The Biker & The Baker. My compass has unerringly pointed to their door every single time I visit Salida over the past five years. It is a tradition forged in sugar and chain grease, where the rugged American West meets the precision of French pastry. Pairing high-desert riding with artisanal baking seems like a recipe for a pile-up, but the execution here is a sweet ride. You will find aerodynamic cyclists sitting elbow-to-elbow with flannel-draped modern prospectors, united by a singular quest for butter. The Biker handles the gears, the Baker handles the tiers. They aren't just coasting on charm; they are pedaling toward culinary triumph, baking up a storm that rivals the monsoons over the Arkansas River. The confections are miniature monuments to indulgence. I have routinely panned for gold in this valley, but the true motherlode is their lemon tart--a symmetrical marvel of citrus striking like a high-noon sun. Their charcuterie boards are arranged with the geometric exactitude of a surveyor mapping a railroad. Whether you are gearing up to summit Mount Shavano or recovering from a grueling promenade, this sanctuary provides the requisite fuel. It is the exceedingly charming destination itself.

The staff attended to us very quickly and professionally. They were there too serve and make sure we were taken care of. By the way it was even more special since it was Father's Day!

1. Atmospheres: Fantastic layout, very clean and great music (just the right volume to hear it but…read morehave a conversation). We sat at the bar because we heard great things about the happy hour from the locals. 2 Food: We researched before coming to Breckenridge what place had the best burger and Aurum's French Onion Burger came up at the top of the list. It did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection (we like medium rare) and the sea salt french fries were delicious (no condiments needed for the burger or the fries)!! 3. Employees: The Hostess was friendly and got us seated right away. The Bartenders (Mike and George) made our evening a blast. Mike Ruda has a signature drink on the menu that he created called the Duck Fat Cadillac and it is a home run cocktail (10 out 10)!! George Johnson is a great conversationalist and is engaged with the customers. We showed him a twist to our favorite drink back home in San Antonio, the Carajillo and he made it perfectly! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Breckenridge and make sure you grab a seat at the bar and enjoy the conversations and the Duck Fat Cadillac!!

Now I recommend going early for happy hour or making reservations. We were heading out around 5:30pm and there was no seating available. For happy hour I had a glass of Rosé and lemon parmesan fries. The food, people, and ambiance were so amazing, we made dinner reservations for the whole fam. Luckily there was availability. That night we were sat promptly when we arrived and the table was set up with menus and water waiting for us. For appetizer, we started off with the Parker House rolls with the house honey butter and OMG those rolls are so fluffy and delicious. Highly suggest getting the rolls if you like bread. The butter complimented the bread beautifully. I started off the night with the blackberry smash with tequila and it was delicious. Just the right combo of sweetness. For entree we went with their Pasta Rotante which for the night was a crazy flavor combo of tomato, pumpkin seeds, crunchy carrot strings, sage and chicken sausage. I'm probably missing other ingredients, but it was a dance of flavors on the tongue. Our waiter recommended pairing this with a glass of Pinot Noir and it was the perfect compliment.
