    Tea sandwiches and spinach balls.
    Tera M.

Took my mom and teen nieces for a tea party. The place is absolutely charming. Welcoming porch with rocking chairs. Inside a lil mini store to buy teas, scone mix , trinkets, etc. we were greeted immediately but came early so we enjoyed the porch a bit before getting seated. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I like that each individual gets to order their own tea and food for their own tastes. I was hungry so I ordered the Queens tea to sample everything. It featured sweets and savory. A caramel scone that was swoon worthy and served with clotted crème and lemon curd. We did not care for the lavender scone. The lavender's floral notes were just too overwhelming to our palates. Sandwiches were spinach balls, chicken salad, and traditional cucumber. The spinach was just too dry but it's a good vegetarian option. We also had a vegetable quiche slice, soup, and salad. Everything tasted fresh and flavored. The tea menu was extensive and the tea pots and cups were fun and fancy. Very happy to have had this experience and would absolutely recommend for a friend's day out. It was a very charming afternoon outting.

I feel like for the cost I left hungry which was a tad bit disappointing. All of the sandwiches were tasty just super small. Scones were mid. We added the quiche and salad extra and did the Queens Tea. Everything was delicious and there are a lot of selections for teas. We hosted a party and they let us pick 4 teas for the party but we didn't as many refills as I'd like I feel like they may have been slightly understaffed for the volume of people we had. Overall it was a cute experience and gorgeous photo op but wouldn't go back for the food n such

I would recommend visiting High SocieTea House. It is always a pleasant time. They accommodate gluten allergy perfectly and did not leave me unsatisfied. The food and tea were delicious. 10/10

Was so happy to try this Tea house for the first time! Went with my mother and sister and we were so impressed with our experience. We got three different levels of tea (light, princess, and queen) and got to try a lot of what was offered! The scones were fresh, warm, and delicious. They rotate different flavors, but we had the white chocolate cranberry and caramel. Clotted cream and lemon curd were lovely as well. The rest of the food was a great fresh take on classic tea staples. I was surprised by the savories which included an amazing bruschetta crostini! The tea selection is vast and each has a good description so you know the flavor notes. Overall the place is clean and cozy, nice to come for celebrations or just a fun afternoon. Reasonably priced for the whole experience! We are excited to plan our next visit Don't forget to make reservations!

High SocieTea gives that perfect vintage tea house feel while also being able to maintain a clean environment. The place is very organic and you can tell it has a lot of passion put into it. That combined with the price and quality that you receive is a really good experience. FYI, it is more English tea than it is asian style. I did the Queen's tea set ($37 per person) that came with tea, scones, savory and sweet. Benefit is that you can do a junior set and every single section is additive! There is a HUGE selection of teas. I highly recommend booking and checking their website as their whole menu is there. Scones are really delicious. The entire set is actually quite filling. You leave satisfied for sure. Service is great as they were happy to serve and provide ample explanations regarding the menu itself. The serving of tea can be steadier but the passion they have cannot be replicated! It is a heavy pot of tea Afterall. Main selling points are the experience and right now it's a semi-witch english tea environment which is great for the season! I say it is absolutely worth $37 dollars if you like the tea environment! Probably one of the best in North Jersey.

We came here for a girls lunch to celebrate a birthday milestone. You have to make reservations well in advance. The place is small on the inside. The decor is really cute. I liked the table settings, each unique. However there wasn't much room on the table for the food. There are a lot of teas to pick from. I picked the caramel chai and enjoyed it. Unfortunately the food was just mediocre and lacked flavor. Fun girls day out though.

It's booked up for months in advance but they're usually busier on the weekends..but somehow I was able to be squeezed in for the a Saturday afternoon spot after calling for it 9 days in advance. It was their only opening! It fits the aesthetic of a old time tea parlor and since my friend really enjoy Victorian era vibes, she was really delighted by everything there. The tea cozies are lovely, the tea selection is vast.. I loved the smoky Russian caravan and the variety of tea set options. I know can choose a different tea from your partner if you're a small group since they give everyone individual pots, not sure if it's different for bigger groups past 6-7 people. I would also just check in with dietary restrictions to start off because I was asked that on the phone but not in person. There is also a bit of a wait time during check in and checkout, because they're pretty busy. Otherwise staff is very pleasant and attentive without being too much.

I cannot recommend their afternoon tea enough!! My friend and I had been wanting to treat ourselves to a little afternoon tea while we catch up and chat. I easily booked a reservation the day before and we ended up staying there for 4 hours talking, they didn't rush us out at all and it wasn't too busy on a Friday afternoon so we were able to stay and enjoy ourselves in the cute and cozy atmosphere. Their tea menu has so many options, it was hard to choose but we really enjoyed both the glitzy mama and the crème brûlée tea! We went with the Queen's tea which included a broccoli cheddar quiche with the option of soup or salad, two scones, finger sandwiches and a variety of desserts. All the treats were tasty but my favorites were the lemon poppyseed scone with clotted cream and lemon curd along with the magic bar for dessert! Our server Holly was amazing, so sweet and took great care of us! The experience is everything I hoped it would be and I felt so fancy, I will absolutely be back!!

Best tea house I have been to! The inside is done so well. Decorated to perfection. Feels vintage...but still well kept. Some tea houses are very Victorian, but not kept well and you feel like you're going to inhale a mound of dust or something. This place is super clean and bright. All of the tea cups are different - which I like! My blueberry crumble tea was like having a waffle in liquid form - so good. The food was also great! I liked the scones the best - comes with a lemon curd and whipped cream. Would definitely recommend and come back here.

Always wanted to go have high tea someday in England. And look, there is a place in NJ! Yay! Space is small and cute. So make reservations as they have private parties for different types of showers which would close the place from the public. Laura at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. Dominik was so patient and polite, answered all of our questions, and we had many LOL We had the Queen's High Tea My hubby thought he would be the only guy there, but others came in later, lol There are so many tea choices! We tried: Feng Shui - apple, dragon fruit, goji berries, lemon grass, eucalyptus, beetroot, pink pepper & marigold blossoms - delicious tea, bought some for home hehehe Banana Split - dark chocolate notes with fresh banana and a hint of nutty aroma - hubby liked it, but it's not my cup of tea, lol Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche - it's ok. I've had better. It's a bit dry Tomato Basil Soup - very good Mixed greens with walnuts, feta cheese, pear, and pomegranate maple vinaigrette dressing - meh, the dressing was delicious. I just don't like the items in the salad. Hubby did enjoy it Scones were: Caramel - omg, so good! This was amazing. I was worried it would be dry, but it was warm and moist, just delicious Irish Sodabread - meh, but hubby loved it Lemon Curd - gives the scones a little tartness. I don't know if I would have liked another flavor :D Clotted Cream - yummy Savory were: Artichoke parmesan on french bread Chicken salad with apples on multi grain bread Cucumber with cream cheese and chive on white bread Whipped pesto cream cheese piped inside a phyllo cup Neither of us really enjoyed the savories... though I did enjoy the phyllo cup Sweet were: Brownies Pistachio Bar Cookie Everything was just a little too sweet... I guess we could have had them with unsweetened tea, but we were already full of liquid, so we just left it. Would definitely go back, but maybe for the Princess Tea so we can skip the savory and sweet course.

We booked the Queen's Tea Party for my Mother-in-Law's 70th birthday party here and I was ultimately very happy with this place! Their party options and prices are listed on their website, and they take deposits to hold dates over the phone, so the booking process was quick and easy. I believe we were told that the room can accommodate up to 50, but I thought our 35 was the perfect amount without feeling too cramped (we did also have a gift table and cake table so that took away some space). They do a great job at decorating the space so you don't have to bring any décor or centerpieces (they honestly probably wouldn't even fit on the tables), and they do a great job of giving the place a homey vibe. Both the food and tea exceeded my expectations. We had the choice of 4 unlimited teas and each was tastier than the last. I was also surprised at how filling the food was! Spaced throughout our party we had: - A caramel scone & Lavender vanilla scone - The broccoli and cheddar quiche - The signature High Societea salad - Tomato/mozzarella/pesto sandwich + cucumber cream cheese sandwich + baked brie and jam tartlet + chicken salad sandwhich - Brownie + fruit cobbler + chocolate phyllo cup with cannoli filling. I was expecting finger food and told the guests as such, but we were all so full by the time the cake came out! I was pleasantly surprised with how satisfied we all were. The only thing that I found interesting is that they charge $1 per champagne glass if you are going to have a champagne toast. They don't provide the champagne itself, just the glassware. It's not about the cost, it just seems like a curious practice.
