Used to love coming here, but after this past Sunday's visit, never again. My wife and I ordered our burrito's, then the cashier repeated back our order and called out every ingredient in the the burrito, beans, rice, cilantro etc. I noticed he missed a few ingredients, so I told him I believe there's onions and squash in there according to the menu, so he began punching in something on the monitor in front of him. I told him we want our burritos just how they are on the menu above my head, easy I thought. Then he read back our order, again missing ingredients. I offered to take a photo of the burrito on the menu two feet above my head and show it to him, he declined. When the receipt was printed, it for some reason it showed all the ingredients, which did not match up with what was on the menu. My wife had the same issue with her order, just frustrating. At Olive Garden do you have to ask for carrot slices, cabbage slices, tomatoes, croutons, and olives in the salad?? No, you just order the salad, I'd lose my mind if every restaurant was like this past HTB experience. I'm just so thankful there's other places in the area where I don't have to memorize every ingredient when ordering. Good Bye HTB!!! read more

We have visited this location several times. We have always had the best food and service. We usually get the burritos and also sides of salsa and chips. The food is fresh with flavor and consistent. The salsa is always fresh and we love the nuclear salsa which is super spicy. The service is great and they are usually busy but we get our order on time. I will never understand why people go to High Tech over Lucindas. Lucindas is significantly cheaper and they give you a much larger burrito. Everything about Lucindas is better especially the warm soft tortilla. Lucindas is the definition of a small business and neighborhood favorite, whereas, High Tech is a chain that overcharges you for a tiny burrito. If you are ever in Strawberry, please make the right choice and go to Lucinda's! It's right next door and it tastes 1000 times better than High Tech. read more

I really hate the name of this place, and it actually kept me from trying it for at least a year when I moved to the area. But I eventually craved non-Taco Bell Mexican and tried them, and I'm very glad I did! My go-to is the Cabo bowl, which is your choice of meats (I'm down with the carnitas), guac, sour cream, and pico over lettuce -- no rice or beans (yay!) Their meats are great, and the portion is nicely sized. Next in line is the basic street-style taco. They are very good (they better be, since they are super easy) and show off their quality meat options nicely. I top these with the avocado salsa. Oh, and they have one of those awesome "mix and match" style Coke fountain drink machines, so I can get my Cherry Vanilla Coke Zero fix. Hate the name, love the food. The Godzilla burrito or the chicken shwarma are always my choice here and while expensive, the portions are large and I'm always pretty satisfied. The burrito here had Spanish rice, a good amount of protein, and default black beans (normally pinto at other places). The cheese was melted and stringy, it added a really nice texture. It was a well made burrito. The only thing I didn't like was chips and salsa was $2.50 read more

Uhm I guess I could see how someone might come here for a quick fix, which is basically what I did. I ordered a head which was quick and easy. I had a steak and chicken burrito and it was made just the way i like, but it felt a little lacking. I know what it is, it's the rice, it's horrible. The chips were also bad, these must come from a bag or were stale or something. The service was busy but kind enough. If I'm really desperate I may return, but certainly not anytime soon. The food here is usually really good. BUT, tonight I ordered a burrito off door dash and it was missing a couple of ingredients and so I double checked to make sure I didn't accidentally order it wrong and I did not. So I called this place and spoke to the manager who told me it's not their fault because door dash automatically prints their tickets and there's no human error and so I told him to let door dash know there's a glitch so others don't experience the same to which he said ok and hung up. That's it. I was in restaurants for 10 years and there should have been more to the conversation than that. read more

So upsetting. This evening as I was waiting for my food a women came in to get her to-go order. She asked if one of the employees could walk her to her car as she was afraid of a man outside. Called to talk to the manager Lisandro when I got Home. Told him that I understood that it was not their job to escort someone to their car. I asked him what if it was his daughter, sister, mother or wife? Lisandro's response was that his female employee offered to call security. I told him that was totally untrue that they did not offer to call security as I was standing right there and I was the one that drove the women to her car. Lisandro said that he was very busy and needed to go. I said, "yup that is what you told that poor women that was shaking at your counter because she was so afraid. Very upsetting and disturbing. Ordered a "Steak burrito" but with pork instead of steak, as I wanted all the ingredients that go in to the steak burrito (avocado verde, chili salsa, onions, lettuce....) and instead I got a "burrito" with beans, cheese, and pork. Oh and one big glob of sour cream half way through. Wouldn't be such a big deal if it also wasn't the most expensive burrito on the menu, because of all those ingredients, which I didn't get. Food has good flavor but the best thing is the hot sauce. I like my asshole burning and I am surprisingly straight. Whatever the hottest salsa they have, get that. I swear I could eat another one right now. They had delicious-sounding vegan options as well. I will absolutely. Again. I don't live anywhere nearby, but there are high-tech burritos in the South Bay I think. But their burritos are good. They come in many sizes, with many options, and it all tastes good. I love spinach tortillas. I prefer black beans. I can get those here. Plus they aren't stingy with the cheese. And one time, a boy and I got burritos here and then went to the marin headlands and "talked" and... let's just say these burritos won't make you feel like puking like most mexican places do. We've been coming to this high tech burrito for years and are extremely disappointed with new staffing/management. We ordered a grilled chicken burrito and were given a bean and cheese burrito in a bag labeled grilled chicken. When I called to inform them and ask that they make the correct burrito and refund the order for screwing it up and making me drive back over in traffic I was met with total attitude. The cashier asked "so you expect us to refund you for food you're going to eat" the cashier then demanded I bring the bean and cheese burrito back with me. When I arrived the place was empty and the cashier argued again with me about the refund while all employees stood behind him staring at me. Then after finally agreeing to refund the burrito they got wrong they told me I'd have to wait while they made another one. When I asked why they hadn't made it when I told them I was driving back they started laughing and said it's really busy, in an empty restaurant! I had to identify the manager myself and told him the attitude of his employees was horrible while he remained silent and wouldn't make eye contact. HTB continues to be a reliable option when I need cheap, healthy food on-the-go. In the past, I would normally order their low-fat chicken burrito (which comes with beans, mango-salsa, brown rice, etc.). But I recently got turned on to their Fish Street Taco (made with blackened wahoo, lettuce, pico de gallo, chipotle crema, and a lime wedge). One taco will only set you back $4 and some change, but it will certainly fill you up and leave a satisfied smirk on your face. As with all their menu items, the ingredients are fresh, and your meal is cooked to order. The fish in my tacos are always hot off the grill, and they pretty much melt in your mouth with every bite. Brokeasses, listen up: I would never have looked twice at this halfhearted excuse for a burrito shop had my boyfriend not been on a determined hunt for a pre-dinner snack. When he pulled two adorably sized burritos out of a bag and explained that they were only $2.10 (+ tax), we proceeded to wolf them down with much delight (mostly because they were cute/only $2.10 and not because they were so delicious). I just worked with High Tech Burrito on a large order for a major work event. I was very displeased by the customer service that I received - I was hoping to split the very large order between two credit cards to avoid having to put it on my personal credit card, but when I asked if this was possible I received a snarky response that my colleague should have arranged that when she called the order in. I was taken aback by the negative attitude, especially when I was about to spend well over $1000 at this place. I understood that they may not be able to accommodate my question, but the abrasive response to my question was disappointing to say the least. Unlike this interaction, one of the women working there was very nice and helped us with packing our large order in the car. The burritos were decent, though nothing amazing. Our event attendees really appreciated how warm the burritos were, which was also a plus. While I appreciate certain aspects of working with High Tech Burrito, the lackluster burritos combined with the rude initial interaction have solidified that we will not be returning to patronize this place for our next big event. Yummy Cali-Mex grub is quickly whipped together at this funky little shack in the middle of Gucci Strawberry Village. The staff are open and friendly. It's so good, your eyes dart around the menu as you become more and more confused about what to order. If the line takes a while it's because everyone falters as they try to decide, and it hangs up the process. The staff look about with understanding expressions - albeit I bet they wish we'd hurry it up and decide! You can customize your order, too. That's cool. This is my favorite burrito!! I drive from san francisco to mill valley just to go to high tech. Why do i love high tech? Its a burrito i can make healthy. They have so many options such as brown rice, whole wheat tortillas, low fat sour cream. I can indulge in my favorite meal without all the guilt. All high techs are great. The staff are friendly and the food is good. I go to this location most often because it is closest to the city. I wasn't so impressed with their "high tech" burritos. More like high price, if you ask me. I ordered a regular chicken burrito, with cheese and sour cream. I also got a bottle soda. Somehow, this ended up costing over $9. Advertised price for a regular burrito - $6.75. So either that was the most expensive bottle of Coke, or the additions cheese and sour cream (which I consider staples of a burrito) were high. Also, no itemized receipt, just a credit slip, so I'll never know how much each thing was. The burrito itself was okay, but not nearly as good as one from an authentic Taqueria. Very Americanized, IMO. Plus, it was also tiny compared to the giants from Gordo and Castilla. The "high tech" burritos on the menu did not appeal to me at all - kinda gimmicky. If I could have given zero stars for my last visit to HTB I would. I'm a repeat customer because I'm frequently in the area. I came in today and ordered my usual, a Godzilla with no guacamole because I'm allergic to it. When I got home and started eating, I noticed that I ate a substantial amount of it. Almost immediately, I began having a severe reaction. I broke out in hives and my throat began to close, so I took my anti-histamine pills. My girlfriend went back to let them know what happened and all the said was sorry, they'll remake the burrito and for us to call the corporate office. All I could think about is that this could have turned out worse for me. So the rest of today and 4th of July will be spent recovering waiting for my symptoms to subside. read more
