Went here for Mother's Day. This is the kind of place where you give them your order up front, take a number, and then they bring it to you. It's family-run and they are all very nice people -- the owner's parents do a lot of the serving. They have a great patio out back, it's completely walled-in but painted with a colorful mural. Food is good -- I wouldn't rank it as one of the best, but still very good. Did take quite a while for the food to arrive, however. Not sure this is gonna be a regular place for me, but I'll definitely be back from time to time. UPDATE Dec. 2011: I went back here for dinner for a crepe -- it really wasn't that good. The crepes are too thick, the filling wasn't pleasant (salmon). I took it back and they made me something else, but it wasn't all that great either. I'd go back, but probably for something else like an omelette. read more

We had a late lunch, so savory crepes where chosen. I asked what is their top seller. We ordered the Chicken pesto and Pacific crepes. Way too much pesto and the green salad was so slimy, I left it. They should pick through the old lettuce for crying out loud. Too bad, as I love a baby field green salad...... Pacific crepe got a thumbs up. A.o.k. for a quick bite in this surf town. read more

I have been coming here since they opened a few years ago. It is walk up ordering with service at the tables after you've sat down. The furniture is modern with stand-alone tables and chairs. Some tables have a half-booth seat that runs the length of the wall. They also have a few tables outside for when the weather is nice. It is located right next to the beach, so you can go walk the beach before or after, if you choose. Breakfast is served all day and they have a wide variety of lunch selections on their menu. I've never had dinner here so I couldn't tell you if they are even open that late. Today I ordered the chicken pesto crepe. It was really good & very filling. Usually I have breakfast but the tide was later in the day, so I had time before I went surfing. This is a local, family-run place with very good food for decent prices. I highly recommend it if you are in the area. I'll definitely be going back. read more

My roommate and I needed some sustenance before strawberry picking. We stopped here to get some breakfast. The menu is very similar to Crepevine in the city. I ordered Sunrise crepe, which had chicken apple sausage, scrambled eggs, and salsa. The sausage was really good, both sweet and savory. The crepe also came with house potatoes and a salad, both of which were okay. I also got half carrot juice/half orange juice. It was fresh squeezed, and yummy. If you're hungry and close by, you won't be unsatisfied with a meal here. read more

Rare strike out on the eggs benedict. Poached eggs where not runny and just a smidge of the hollandaise sauce made it disappointing. Potatoes where good and plenty. Daughter's French Toast was great. Nice side of Strawberries came with it. Coffee was hot and good. Service was good. Other food looked great, I just got something that wasn't right and nobody came to check on us after we got our food. read more

This place is great and owned my the sweetest people. My friends and I go here as our little stop to half moon bay. The one order that I do highly recommend is the pacific crepe. With the combination of smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, spinach and red onions the flavors in this makes you wanting more. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Hubby and I ordered take out. You would think because they have creperie in their name that they'd be good and consistent in making crepes. NOT THE CASE!! My husbands was perfecting cooked while mine on the other hand was beyond burnt, it was black! It ruined my close to $10 meal in which I only got to eat the filling, the outer edges of my crepe, somewhat stale fries, the nice lightly dressed salad. Speaking of the filling, I ordered the Italian crepe there's supposed to be a bit of everything but somehow I got a little bit of everything and a ton of red peppers. Service was decent and fast, I'll give them that, I don't know if this place is worth trying again since I'm a bit wary of getting served burnt crepes again. read more

Absolutely love love love coming here for breakfast! The breakfast burrito is so hard no to pick every time. I'm never disappointed with the omelets or crepes they serve. The service is spot on! Sundays they get a little packed so there's sometimes a little bit of a wait but definitely worth it. Try to snatch a spot outside to enjoy the Pacifica air! read more

Was a beautiful day and we had a $40 gift card so we decided to check it out. There was a bit of a line but the staff was working hard to stay on top of it. We ordered a HUGE Caprese baguette, California Burger, 1 soda and for dessert a strawberry Nutella crepe with vanilla ice cream. All of that and we still had $7 left on our gift card!!! Can't beat it!!! read more

Great customer service and friendly staff. Delicious food that was hot and flavorful. My son wanted chocolate pancakes that weren't on the menu. The staff offered to make them custom for him. They came out fantastic. All meals came with the freshest fruit ever! When we return we will definitely be by again for breakfast. read more

I am in love with this place. My folks just visited from out of state, and my dad, who is rather frugal, actually asked to come back here two days in a row. He loved how full of real blueberries the pancakes were. I had the cheesesteak, which we Pennsylvanians rated not bad for CA. I had the apple-cheddar-cinnamon crepe the next day. It was just savory enough to not make me feel overly sugared. My folks definitely stole a few bites with a thumbs up. My only complaint is that it's so popular that some singles were sitting at tables reserved for 3 or more. The server kindly offered to move us when one opened up without us even asking. Be prepared to order when you walk in, then find a table. The menu is a large chalkboard behind the counter. Less hemming and hawing over the menu at the tables. If you can't decide, go with the blueberry pancakes or the apple cheese crepe! Oh, and it is currently a little detoured from the 1, watch the road signs. read more

This place was just okay. It was down the hill from a house my group was renting and we were looking for a walk-able breakfast spot. I got a latte which was pretty good and then a breakfast burrito. The meat inside the burrito was burnt and had no flavor which was disappointing. Some other members of my group got the pancakes, which they said were good, and a basic egg and meat breakfast. They seemed to have a lot of options but I wasn't that impressed with the quality of food. read more

Enjoyed a Sunday breakfast with friends and am so happy to have a new local cafe for breakfast. I truly hope they are sucessful in their venture here in Pacifica - we could really use these types of establishments to bolster our local economy and improve our community. Had the Crepe Florentine after reading the reviews and wasn't disappointed, Good portions. Entrees in the $8 range. I've posted a photo of the menu board as they don't have a website yet. Very similar operation to Squat and Gobble in West Portal. Very busy this Sunday morning and we had a group of 5, which was difficult to seat, but we took two tables outside and were happy. (Its a rare day that you would enjoy sitting outside in Pacifica, but we do get some of our best weather in Sept-Oct.) Order from the large menu posted on the wall at the counter, and food is served to your table. My only regret was that the house coffee is priced per cup and there was no automatic refill offered at the table (I am sure I could have requested one when they checked to see if we wanted anything else, but an improvement would be someone walking around with the coffee providing a refill) My nephew visited earlier in the month and enjoyed a burger - another welcome addition to our coastal community. All in all, I will be back. edited to add - just learned High Tide is owned and operated by the same family that owns Squat & Gobble and Crapevine - no wonder there are similarities!! read more

It was only my second time at High Tide restaurant in Pacifica but it is easily becoming the spot to go after a nice hike in nearby Montara. The portions are generous and the freshness in every dish is visible. This is the type of restaurant where both the presentation and taste is superb. Perhaps it's the rising appetite after some excercise yet I wish I had something comparable closer to home in the South Bay. Keep it up! read more

Loved this place. Went two days in a row and ordered multiple items. The portions are bit and the quality is excellent. Between my visits I've tried the avocado toast, tuna melt, pacific smoked salmon crepe, the apple chicken sausage, the peanut butter chocolate banana crepe, and the crab and avocado eggs Benedict. This place has it all whether you want breakfast, lunch, or a savory pasta. The potatoes and fries are perfect and the seating atmosphere in the outdoor patio is spaced out well and clean. Stumbled upon this gem of a spot one sunny Sunday afternoon. The staff are so helpful, kind, and attentive. Super clean establishment and very considerate and follow about rules. I ordered a Florentine savory crepe and ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture. It was so good. I also ordered the very berry sweet crepe and managed to take a picture of that one, also 10/10 on the flavor. Also this spot is right next to the beach, which is great to walk to after such an amazing meal. 10/10 would recommend this place!!! read more

This place DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! It had been on my radar for a while but due to covid, I put off coming here. We decided to go on a hike and the kids were starving after I made them climb some pacifica hills. Beautiful view but worth them burning some energy on a sunday morning. We drove by and small line (you know its good when there is a line). Walked in and ordered, first pleased with all the colors in the place - menu was easy to read, lots of variety (something for everyone) and the cural wall was a nice local touch. Ambiance was nice and friendly while the staff hustled to take care of the patrons. Kids ordered plain bagel with cream chese, turkey sandwich, I asked the super cool manager/boss and he said their philly cheese steaks and burgers are really popular...so I got a spicy cheese steak and wow - the food did not dissapoint. Flavor from first bite to last. Nice attention to detail. I cant wait to go back again and try so many other things on the menu - highly recommend! We love this place and always stop when we're passing through the area. They have one of those menus where everything on it sounds good... and is! The tab usually ends up being less than it seems like it would be (if that makes sense). The guys who work there are nice and seem like they recognize us, even though we're only in a few times a year. Looks like they're still not open back up in the evenings? Ordered a ham, egg and cheese crepe and got a big ball of mush wrapped in a tortilla, pancake batter thing. I would say it's the worse crepe I ever had, but what I received can't even be considered a crepe. This was my first visit to this "Creperie" and my last. The only positive thing I can say about this experience is the manager gave me my money back without issue. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Saw the other reviews of the place, and found it to be worth going to. I asked the gentleman at the front what his favorite items were and I ended up with getting breakfast for dinner with the steak and eggs breakfast. My boyfriend also got the club sandwich and enjoyed eating it. The decor was nice and vibrant. I enjoyed my meal and time there. Definitely will have to go again to try their crepes. I was too full to get "dessert" to go. read more

I hope it's not like this all the time. First time here and I had to wait over an hour for a to-go order. I watched everyone else get their order that came in and ordered after me. When my food finally came out they told me "no one told you we were out of hotdogs?". Don't come here if you expect proper communication or your food cooked in a timely manner. It may be best to come here if you want to waste your time. Food also was cold for one order. read more

Stopped in this past Sunday as we were in the area. My daughter loved her burger, it was cooked perfectly. She also had a blended fresh pressed orange & carrot juice that they make right in front of you. My wife and I got the falafel wraps and they were out of this world. The falafel was perfect, great seasoning and the house sauce gave them an excellent kick. I look forward to coming back again when we are in the area. read more

Came here for lunch one day on a Monday. It was a holiday weekend so it was a bit busy. The women who appeared to be the owner was taking the orders. Because she was being nice and conversing with every customer it made the line go slower. Luckily my friend grabbed us a table while I ordered. After I orered our drinks came soon after. I orered an iced mocha with almond milk( always a plus when a place has almond milk) and my friend ordered a hot chocolate. Our drinks were pretty good. Our food came soon after. We both got sandwiches and their portions are very generous. It could easily be shared if both persons arent that hungry. I can imaginr this place gets busy a lot as the food is good. I would go back! Note: parking can be tight as there are many shops around. read more

We ordered on a Saturday, and their Yelp page said they were open until 9pm. The DoorDash guy got there at 8, and they were closed. Website doesn't work, and they weren't answering the phone. Clearly just decided to close early because they felt like it. Amateur hour. Don't waste your time. read more

This place was a nice surprise. We will definitely come back to during our next visit! My husband had Philly cheesesteak. Which I had to have a bite of. I had the Pacific crepe It was equality delicious. It came wit your choice of fries or fried potatoes, and salad. The servings were a good size. We took home leftovers! Anyway. ------------------------------ First, the turkey sandwich. 5/5 I'm guilty of expecting the meat to be the focus on a sandwich, but in this case the turkey was the filler, which, as a carnivore, is there a better meat filler? Bread, dijon, lettuce, turkey, queso. The dijon did for flavor what the lettuce did for texture, throwing in a twang that kept the sandwich interesting. Its creaminess tag-teamed with the cheese to keep the sandwich in one piece. Great sidekicks. The turkey was... Nothing special. Clean but mundane, for the star of the show was the bread. Some of you might roll your eyes. No shiet, Sherlock. THIS. IS. A bakery. Cuz some of you might roll your eyes. It's just bread. But this isn't wonder-bread. It's dense. It's got a chew. The sourdough is minimally sour, hearty, with a thick, hard crust, and made matrimony with the turkey. A lil bit of salt, the slightest tang, tango-ing into a single texture. Those of us who've had an egg sando in Japan understand how the softness of the egg salad made the softness of the bread fundamental. The turkey here wasn't slipping anywhere, though it complimented the meatiness of the bread. This, sandwich, needs, teeth. I hope you weren't expecting to eat turkey without teeth. Perhaps that's tofurkey you're thinking about. The crust was hard too. A well supported, almost crunchy hardness, and a far cry from the st-ale pork rind that the free bread in Mont-real would remind you of. I ended up turning the sandwich sideway as if I was enjoying a taco. The best panera you'll get and a supreme sleeper. ------------------------------ The second sandwich: 4/5 The sesame studded hoagie, on the other hand, was nothing short of Guns N' Roses. This sub had a KISS of intensity from the seared meats, a KISS of spice from the mayo and capocollo, a KISS of sharpness from the provolone, and a single leaf of romaine to give that little crunch and freshness, so you can tell your mom that you ate your veggies. There's going to be a rock concert in your mouth. With each element in a bit to prove their existence, it ended up being too intense for us. With these all being strong flavors, it's amazing that you could still taste everything. And they work well together. It's just that your taste buds will send an SOS, walking out of a Black Sabbath concert feeling a bit drained, like Spongebob breaking down after working the tables at Squidward's five star restaurant. The crustiness of the roll, the studded texture of the sesame, the meat escarpment slipping out, you will have no more desire for thee. Water. Something to cleanse the mouth. If you're one of those among us who gets sweet emotions eating curry without naan or rice, this could be your bad medicine. * Keep it simple, stupid.

However, after seeing all of the recent news about the damage at the Pacifica Pier and how their sister location over there needed to be torn down, we knew we had to come out here to lend our support! And, from the looks of things when we got here, plenty of locals have been doing the same! Compared to the times I've walked by in the past, this place was packed when we dropped in for lunch. Between the handful of college kids posted up to do work, some folks reading with their coffee and tea, some families with young kids, customers like us grabbing a bite, and the steady stream of regulars and locals coming in to grab their orders to-go, it was so heartwarming so many people here to show their support. So many, in fact, that over half of their menu board of breakfast sandwiches, salads, sandwiches, and bagels was sold out by the time we ordered (or shortly thereafter)! -- CUBANO SANDWICH - Ham, Smoked Pork, Yellow Mustard, and Pickles on a French Roll...$17 When I see "Cubano", I order the Cubano and thankfully, this one was great! Despite not being super traditional (it's not pressed and the pork was pulled apart), the mix of both meats was moist and really flavorful. Plus, this was so cheesy! -- LANDSLIDE - Egg, Cheddar, Arugula, and Chipotle Aioli with Ham (+$3)...$9 Sadly, they were out of brioche buns, so I didn't get the full experience, but at least I was able to snag their last jalapeno cheddar bagel, which was pretty good. The coffee felt like a medium roast and it had a nice punch of caffeine to it, even if it wasn't quite as robust as I usually prefer my cup of joe. Along with their tasty sandwiches and the friendly service (all of the workers were so nice), the other thing I like about Chit Chat Cafe is how convenient they are. Not only is there typically no shortage of tables available (they have several outside in addition to their wealth of seating inside), but there's usually plenty of nearby parking available as well. What's more, they have outlets sprinkled around the walls and even live music on weekends! Despite how I'm genuinely a fan, Chit Chat Cafe is a little out of the way from me to become part of my regular rotation of go-to coffee or sandwich spots. However, if/when I'm already coming out this way again, I absolutely wouldn't hesitate to return, especially if I've got a hankering for a Cubano (which is way more often the case than not).

Last week it was a gorgeous day so I figure I would take a ride down the coast. I went to Linda Mar Beach. After my walk on the beach, I got hungry and found Pedro Point. I wanted mexican food originally, but La Playa was closed on Monday. So I figured I would give High Tide a shot. As I am walking towards this place I noticed there were two men smoking. One of the men had dark hair and was wearing hat. I thought it was weird that they were smoking in front of the restaurant. To make it even worse , they walked back into the restaurant. The man with the dark hair was at the cash register and took my order. He smelled disgustingly of cigarette smoke. I am completely grossed out and it is extremely disgusting and unprofessional to let employees smoke and handle food. I should have walked out, but I gave the food a try and it was excellent. I had the florentine crepe and it was delicious. This place has big portions. I will come back but not when the marlboro man is not working. read more

When I first walked into the restaurant I was impressed by the smiles and warm welcoming. Service is right at the front door. The menu is perfect, with a great selection, and not too overwhelming. Immediately my order was taken, and in my order was a cup of coffee and a Greek Salad with Chicken. When I sat at the table, a Hot fresh cup of coffee arrived, like I requested before my meal. It was freshly brewed too! Shortly after, within minutes, my food arrived. I was happy. The portions were very generous, and everything really tasted so crunchy and fresh! High Tide has an amazing cheesesteak sandwich. The mural inside and on the back patio, along with the framed artwork, is absolutely beautiful and gives a very chill and clean vibe. However, a server has never touched my beverages. The first time I had to go to the front counter after my food came out to get the water and Coke I ordered first. The first and second visits I had to go to the front counter to get refills while waitresses were scooting by me like I didn't exist. Went for the first time with my family on a Sunday night. My wife and I each ordered crepes. Two of my children ordered the chicken soup and one of my kids ordered blueberry pancakes. We all polished off all of the food on our plates, which was not a small feat for the kids as the portion sizes were quite generous (especially true of the chicken soup). The food was wonderful, the service speedy and the staff very attentive to all of our needs. This is one of our family's favorite places to each whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. I have never anything but an excellent experience here. The food is fabulous and the people are very friendly. I have tried several items on the menu and never been disappointed but one of my favorites is the sunrise crepe and the fresh squeezed orange juice is the best. Portion sizes are generous so I usually split a meal or take half home for another meal. Definitely a place to try when you are in Pacifica!! read more

We love this place. We don't live in the area, but every time we are up in San Francisco, we make it a point to drive down to Pacifica to eat here. This last visit was exceptionally good as we were greeted by Phillip whose customer service is really refreshing. He went out of his way for us and the food was delicious. Their beers are wonderful and very cold. Phillip put sprinkles on the kids' hot chocolate which was a nice touch. Kids like sprinkles. I'd highly recommend this place. read more

We really enjoy the consistently good food at High Tide. The crepes are wonderful and so are their salads and sandwiches. Pacifica is always lagging behind San Francisco when it comes to good places to eat. Although not fancy, High Tide provides a darn good meal and reasonable prices. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a chance. The only reason I dropped one star was because depending on who is cooking, the cook can can be a bit too generous with the oil. read more

wow!! i had the chicken pesto crepe, it was great. this place has been open for about 2 weeks and i was surprised that the staff was so familiar with the menu and so responsive to my needs, the enviorment is trendy and cozy, the service is a 10+, oh yeah and if you love coffee they have the best. not only do they serve crepes but also burgers and desert(try the strawberry and nutella chocolate crepe). i have eaten at many creperies this has to be the best read more

First of all, I live only three blocks from this place so it is very convienient for me. It's a very nice environment right there on the beach of Pacifica and on a nice day you can eat outside and watch the surfers get ready in the parking lot. :) Who does not love a banana nutella crepe? Sure, I'd be more than happy if I was already out this way, but never enough to drive here from SF. However, after seeing all of the recent news about the damage at the Pacifica Pier and how their sister location over there needed to be torn down, we knew we had to come out here to lend our support! And, from the looks of things when we got here, plenty of locals have been doing the same! Compared to the times I've walked by in the past, this place was packed when we dropped in for lunch. Between the handful of college kids posted up to do work, some folks reading with their coffee and tea, some families with young kids, customers like us grabbing a bite, and the steady stream of regulars and locals coming in to grab their orders to-go, it was so heartwarming so many people here to show their support. So many, in fact, that over half of their menu board of breakfast sandwiches, salads, sandwiches, and bagels was sold out by the time we ordered (or shortly thereafter)! -- CUBANO SANDWICH - Ham, Smoked Pork, Yellow Mustard, and Pickles on a French Roll...$17 When I see "Cubano", I order the Cubano and thankfully, this one was great! Despite not being super traditional (it's not pressed and the pork was pulled apart), the mix of both meats was moist and really flavorful. Plus, this was so cheesy! -- LANDSLIDE - Egg, Cheddar, Arugula, and Chipotle Aioli with Ham (+$3)...$9 Sadly, they were out of brioche buns, so I didn't get the full experience, but at least I was able to snag their last jalapeno cheddar bagel, which was pretty good. I also liked how well everything complemented each other, though, I wish the ham was spread throughout the bagel. -- HOUSE COFFEE...$3.50 (Med) Nothing special, but no less solid. The coffee felt like a medium roast and it had a nice punch of caffeine to it, even if it wasn't quite as robust as I usually prefer my cup of joe. Along with their tasty sandwiches and the friendly service (all of the workers were so nice), the other thing I like about Chit Chat Cafe is how convenient they are. Not only is there typically no shortage of tables available (they have several outside in addition to their wealth of seating inside), but there's usually plenty of nearby parking available as well. What's more, they have outlets sprinkled around the walls and even live music on weekends! Despite how I'm genuinely a fan, Chit Chat Cafe is a little out of the way from me to become part of my regular rotation of go-to coffee or sandwich spots. However, if/when I'm already coming out this way again, I absolutely wouldn't hesitate to return, especially if I've got a hankering for a Cubano (which is way more often the case than not).

My daughter and I enjoyed the French dip and Rueben sandwiches with fries, both were tasty, their fries were perfect. The restaurant is clean, the service we receive from Flor our server was above expectations and extremely professional, she was knowledgeable and answer our questions with ease. We were there for dinner, but also looking for a venue for my eldest daughter's baby shower and we found it! We hope to connect with the owner soon to set the date, menu and start planning.

I had those in my next hometown of Benicia where my kids grew up, but that's kind of their town now so I needed to find a town of my own. I've been hanging out in Pacifica a bit cuz of the magic of the Taco Bell beach, but it's another square block of Pacifica that showed me the magic of this place. I've had about 47 meals over the past couple weeks at the Sun Valley shopping center near the Sanchez library annex. The uppercrust Deli rocks... No as bagels in the morning I've had two wraps and a falafel Sammy and a meatballs sandwich that Italy should ask for the recipe for and I still have about 20 sandwiches to try... Goodfellais at night for a beer and a piece of Pizza and the Cool jukebox or even some amazing garlic where they called cloves on toast I had last night... Home cooked burgers at the City Grill with great light night conversation... I'm looking forward to trying the mu shoe pork at the chinese restaurant but the Home cooked meats and mashed potatoes at the grocery store keep diverting me because they have that Cool Mexican half leader soda in a glass bottle. Anyway I have to finish my chicken wrap because I got a Cool hot sauce for half Price at the grocery outlet that I want to try and I have to hit 110 million on the pinball machine to get my name up there and I'm stuck in the 60s Cool places to try still just like Taco Bell Beach. Plus I rent cds free at the library next-door with the frisbee Park and BMX track that my dog likes. I have to cut and paste this review for the other places so you may see it somewhere else cause I'm not just gonna rewrite a separate one for each Cool place. No I have not been paid for this endorsement I just like Pacifica except for the house prices and the dog park is a little bit stuffy.
