A family run restaurant that makes just run-of-the-mill quality food. Which does not seem to deter locals from patronizing. My visit was at noon and the tables were nearly full and the take out orders were plentiful. My generous size hamburger was merely okay. Actually the 6 ounce meat patty was flavorless. I told Barbara that it was merely meat-like texture, actually a little rubbery chewy for ground beef. I added Cholula hot sauce to make it tasty enough to finish, even though I was hungry. Side of Cole slaw also was just okay, nothing special. Bambie noted for the quality, the prices seemed a bit elevated. The rent in this shopping center must be high. Nice server was helpful, cheerful and attentive. Dining room looks 1960's vintage. Bathroom is old but clean. Next time I'm driving while hungry through Pacifica, I'll seek out another eatery.

A nice breakfast/lunch spot. We had breakfast and it was well worth the cost. Nice staff too.

Sunrise Cafe & Grill 1241 Linda Mar Shopping Ctr, Pacifica, CA 94044 (650) 359-3811 sunrise-cafe-and-grill.wa-cafe.com Weekend of August 3rd. * This year I made sure to have breakfast at Sunrise before leaving Pacifica. * Danger! Danger! There is a Ross Department store nearby. * Warmly greeted and offered coffee 1 minute after I sat down. * I ordered what was recommended the most by the locals I spoke with. The Joe's Special- Ground beef, Italian sausage, onions, mushrooms, and spinach. I requested for extra extra feta cheese. A must for my omelette is feta cheese. Extra crispy on my hash browns. Wheat buttered toast. * My coffee cup was never empty, she was very kind enough to make sure it was always filled. Thank you. * A must when in Pacifica. Breakfast at Sunrise. Lunch at The Breakers. Dinner at Nick's.

    Huevos Rancheros, no hashbrowns

I love how local and convenient this place. I sometimes forget it is in town. Came in here for a quick breakfast and left full after a hearty breakfast with a decent amount of breakfast choices. Everything was cooked to perfection, the portions hearty and wait staff friendly. The ambiance is your typical diner, clean and all the condiments on the table. There was only one chef so it took a hot minute for us to get food, but everything was served hot and delicious. We will be back more often!

Came here for breakfast on accident. Originally wanted to go to another spot where they had fresh brewed coffee but wait was too long. When we got here, thankfully got seated right away. The menu options are like any other mom and pop shop very simple, no boujee coffee and also no kids menu. Place is small and can get loud (we did have my twin nephews so we contributed to the loudness that day). Our server Maria was friendly. She was a little busy and we could tell. I will say our breakfast tasted good and fresh (you know what I mean). Our overall experience was good. I was thinking 3***for this spot. I asked my sis in law what I should rate the place, she said 4****.

Now open for dine-in. Perfect breakfast after mass.

Lived in Pacifica for over 20 years and this is my first time visiting this cafe. Looking to find a quick breakfast meal and found this open for dine-in. Came just after 10am and was seated immediately. Host and waitresses are very friendly and attentive to your needs. Water and coffee is always filled. Great menu selection; better than Denny's in food and service! Will definitely come back again to try other meals in menu

Small old school diner. Nice basic breakfast but $20 for the basic with 3 eggs a bit steep! Additionally, the place is small with the kitchen on back wall so can get a bit loud in "kitchen" - But if you want a nice simple breakfast - eggs cooked just like you asked , hash browns- browned up perfectly - meat and toast-with great service while hanging with the locals - you can't go wrong!

Wow. What a great find. We walked by it a few times and never noticed it. Going in transported me back to my childhood with long counter and leather booths. Service is exceptional. 1 line cook calm and cool gets food out fast . Food portions are large even drinks are large. I can't wait to come back

    Added a little Cholula!

Every visit to Pacifica, CA, we have breakfast at Sunrise Cafe. They have the BEST omelets! There is an option to "create your own" omelette, which is the route we take. I have egg whites, Spinach, broccoli, feta, and zucchini with avocado on top. Ohhhh man!!! It doesn't get any better than this! I must confess, there was another breakfast cafe next to our hotel which we tried when I was told, "I can make that kind of omelette for you" from the owner. I truly felt like I was cheating on Sunrise Cafe! Well, let's just say, we will continue to have breakfast at Sunrise because the other place didn't make my omelette like Sunrise can! I will never cheat on Sunrise Cafe again. Oh and I must say, at Sunrise, you can have home potatoes or hash browns, whichever You Like! Sunrise will do it Right! I swear, it's the Best Way to Start Your Day!!!

The staff are always friendly and attentive. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, with the half chicken as our main course. It comes with two sides, and this time we went with double salad, but the fries and plantains are also great options. The ceviche had wonderful flavor with fresh toppings and delicious house-made plantain chips. The green beans were cooked perfectly, still crisp and topped with garlic and ginger that added great flavor. I've tried all of the empanadas, but this time I went with the veggie truffle mushroom, and it was delicious. The dipping sauce that comes with both the empanadas and the chicken is so yummy! My absolute favorite dish is the truffle mac and cheese. It's rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful without feeling too heavy. The truffle is perfectly balanced and makes it one of the best! Limón continues to be one of my go-to spots because the food is consistently fresh and flavorful!

We were outside eating and it was fine. It was rather cold, the waiter could have asked if we wanted the heat lamp turned on. Overall, I will continue to go to the Walnut Creek location where the service, ambiance, and food is top notch .

The happy hour menu was pretty awesome as well. If you aren't interested in food but looking for a place to get drinks, the cocktails here are also on point. South San Francisco is a stones throw from where we live and even though there are some solid casual spots, we don't find too many places in this area where you can get amazing food, craft cocktails, and this kind of ambiance. With that being said we were ecstatic to discover this hidden gem. It checks all the boxes!! We ordered the Caesar salad, pozole, burger & Fries, and beef tacos from the happy hour menu. Everything was so good and I am not just saying that! The Caesar salad came served with slices of avocado. Not traditional, but absolutely delicious and nicely dressed. The burger was beautiful and juicy and cooked to perfection. It came served with those french fries that have that extra layer of crispiness.on them. I call them 'next level fries' because that's what they are. My favorite thing, hands down, were the tacos. Oh my God... the tacos!! There are a lot of great Taquerias in the Bay Area but this place can contend. I'm serious. Perfect crispy tacos that came served with this beautiful salsa verde. Truthfully we ordered so much food but the tacos were so good we got another order of them. I ordered a Paloma and it was the perfect drink to go with my tacos. This was our first and only time eating here, but this will definitely be a regular spot for us. I hope moving forward this place stays as wonderful as our experience was tonight. It's such a joy to have an experience like this that doesn't require us driving to San Mateo or San Francisco. It's about time we had places like this in this area. The staff that helped us was also wonderful. My son was home visiting and one of his food requests was tapas, specifically Iberico ham. I think I had been here long ago when it was still in Menlo Park. Anyway let's get right to the food. My son and I had done a deep dive (not so his dad) and preplanned what we were most interested in. Drinks: El Martini , Old Fashioned, and Side Car, all between $17.25-18.75: 4*- all good, pretty much standard issue, STIFF PAELLA de MARISCOS (we 3 shared the small) $61.90 - saffron rice with prawns, lobster, cuttlefish, bay scallops, squid, baby octopus, sea scallops and clams: 3.5*. We thought it was delcious, especially the tender clams and cuttlefish. It was a little oily, but the disappointing part was almost no socarrat! boo! Txipirones en suTinta - squid stuffed with tomatoes & sausage, braised in wine and its ink. $22.90 - 4.5*: I didn't expect the whole thing to be entirely black. I liked it but a little too soupy. 100% Jamón Iberico de Bellota Black Label - country bread rubbed with tomato, topped with the iconic ham of the black hoofed Iberian pig. $32.80 - 5+*: OMG. every part so tasty, and the ham almost melts in your mouth alcauciles con champiñones - baby artichokes sautéed with chanterelle mushrooms, amontillado sherry and cured ham (opt.) $21.65- 4.5*: This was not at all attractive to look at. I needed some other color on the plate besides light brownish green. The taste was delicious, the best aspects of earthy mushrooms and sweet young artichokes. Pulpo a la Brasa - grilled octopus; bean and piquillo pepper salad with capers, basil and shallots. $29.85 - 5 *: I loved the octopus, although it could have benefitted from a little more char. The beans, however almost upstaged the pulpo. Absolutely wonderful. Vieiras con Espuma de Salmón - griddled Hokaido scallops on smoked salmon mousse toast. $25.70 - 3.5*: The scallops were perfectly cooked, but definitely over salted. The salmon "mousse" wasn't a mousse at all it was about the consistency of a thin sour cream, like crema, and only a small amount. I didn't note any smoked flavor. The service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable, except for the busser, who was pretty much silent and no smiles even when we tried to engage her, but maybe she didn't speak English. The dining room isn't very big and there was a large table of like 12 coworkers, one of whom spoke and laughed incredibly loudly, but that's not the restaurant's fault. Food: 34/40 Service: 17/20 Value: 16/20 Atm/Intangibles: 16/20 Overall: 83/100 As I knew it would be, it was expensive, and like others, I'm not sure I think the 22% compulsory service fee is fair. We ended up at about $380 including drinks, tax, and the service charge. The host/owner is charming.
