We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening with no reservations. It was pretty packed so I was worried about a wait time, but we were seated immediately. We were joined by two others and quickly got our beverages. Our server, Brenda, was sweet and checked on us often throughout the entire meal. I chose the Captain's Combination which came with whitefish, scallops, shrimp, a petite crab cake, and two sides. You can get it fried, grilled, broiled, or blackened. I wanted blackened, but didn't want too spicy. Brenda suggested lightly blackened and it was perfect. I also ordered a cup of clam chowder. The clam chowder is very flavorful. I enjoyed it very much. Everything on the Captain's Combo was good as well and the seasoning was perfect. The shrimp and scallops were particularly tasty. I got macaroni and cheese as one side, which was creamy and cheesy, and a loaded baked potato for the other side which was just okay. A friend ordered frog legs and felt iffy about them. She offered me a taste, but I was already stuffed so I didn't partake. Everyone else enjoyed their dinners. We've been to High Tide Harry's several times when visiting in Orlando and have always enjoyed dining there. But I was disappointed with the fried cod that I had for dinner. I've had it many times in other restaurants but it was quite dry here. I couldn't eat it without plenty of tartar sauce. Hubby was craving oysters so I googled and found here. Came on $1 oyster night and they were fresh and delicious. I think everything besides the crab legs and wings were pretty good. Update: 7/21/21 The burgers are still great however I believe the quality of the bun has become subpar on the last couple of visits. They really should be serving that hunk of delicious meat on a potato or brioche bun. The wings are still delicious, naked or breaded and however you get it wet. However the pricing in the menu is considerably off. The listed price in the menu was $11.99 and the price charged I believe was like $15. I like supporting small business, so I didn't complain or anything. But I figured it would be good for people to know so I'm sharing it here. It took me two years of planning to have a meal at High Tide. Finally time permitted me to do so. After a trade show, I checked out my phone's GPS and from my hotel located by US192 Harry was a mere 30 minute drive. It was Tuesday evening and so I called to see if I needed reservation, I did not. I arrived 30 minutes later, walked in, the place was half full nd was seated within minutes. The ambiance was not intimidating, a little noisy with conversations from the patrons sitting by the bar. I ordered my beer, I wanted to try 2 for $25 meal. This consist of garlic shrimp and blacked Mahi with fried okra and green ends. These were not small portions either. Next, I ordered my King crab legs. The side order were Mac and cheese and a cup of clam chowder. For my appetizer I ordered fried calamari. I was stunned, my soup was very creamy and hot. I hate Luke warm soup. They did not spare the clam and freshly made that night. My blacked Mahi was perfectly cooked and spiced. The shrimp was juicy and full of garlic flavor. My king crab legs portion was very good. I requested if they can prepare in old bay and with garlic sauce. Delicious every single meal including my sides. My waitress was awesome. We made sure beer and water was flowing checking to make sure I am welll taken cared off. I was, I finished 98% of my food and half a bottle of beer. Would I return? I am planning a family trip for the next time. I been at other sea franchises and I can this place hs the the freshest seafood I've ever been too. That's weird to state since I live in Florida. Went there randomly as a 'See you next time' good bye meal for family going home and was pleasantly surprised. It's on the edge of some fast food places sort of a world of its own. I was browsing for reviews here while we sat at the table, greeted by our friendly server, Axel. His attitude was energetic and welcoming. He took our orders swiftly, the free hush puppy samples were tasty and the meals came in a timely fashion. My last 2 trips to Orlando I was told to try this place , and I never did till now , it's pretty sad only case the food and service is better here in a restaurant in the middle of the state where there's no water !! I'm from Miami & cape cod and I know my seafood yes it's frozen but how else can you get it here .. it's really good and the prices and service was stunning!! I was very excited to try this place but maybe I just caught it on an off day. The Long Beach drink was pretty good but it was pretty expensive for no souvenir when they charge $9 for the drink then $5 to use the cup. Oysters Harry was supposed to be charbroiled and cheesy but the cheese was very crusty and oysters were not cooked at all. The grouper bites and shrimp provided no flavor at all. After receiving a recommendation from a friend years ago I finally visited High Tide Harry's and wasn't disappointed. They have an extensive menu and great service. The only negative is being located on a congested road. Plenty of parking in their private lot. read more

We went on a whim..Saturday night at 7:30. Thought we might have to wait for a table but even though it was fairly busy, we got seated (surprise!) almost immediately. Our server, Haley, was prompt, informative, friendly and attentive, but not hovering. Almost perfection! We ordered 6 raw oysters on the 1/2 shell for an appetizer. They came quickly and were delicious! I ordered a pound of Stone Crab Claws and 1/2 pound of Dunginess legs with fries and a house salad. Mary ordered Coconut Shrimp with a baked potato and fried Okra. Both of the crab dishes were excellent and Mary's shrimp were absolute perfection! Large, cooked perfectly...still tender and juicy with the perfect crunchy coating! French fries were also perfect...a crispy, seasoned outer coating and soft pillowy inside. YUM. My salad was the textbook for mediocre; room temp greens, slightly wilted, with 2 slices of cucumber (skin on), 2 tiny tomatoes, 2 thick slices of white onion. The Ranch dressing was not bad, but not great either. Mary's baked potato was overcooked (burned) yet it was served so cool that the whipped butter wouldn't even melt! Here's what I don't understand: the proteins were almost perfection while the sides were almost the exact opposite. It's like they had 2 chefs in the kitchen! (Or maybe 1 chef and 1 line cook who was fired from Waffle House) We will be going again, and probably VERY soon, but we'll probably just order all proteins with few or no sides. I used to go here years ago when they were near 50 and 436. I didn't realize they had moved. I went back one day and they were just gone! We've had this place on our list for a LONG time but since we live over in Casselberry we always found a reason not to drive that far. Let me tell you, it's worth it!!! Definitely not what we expected, it's way more laid back of a place. For some reason we thought it was fancy seafood. Ever been to a broil bar or something like Krafty Krab? It's similar but not. Casual atmosphere, but real good seafood. We haven't found a place with crab in MONTHS and thank goodness they've got it. Finally filled my belly with some good snow crab!! Pricey but hey that's inflation for you. Service was good. Servers cleaning around us were a little loud but we also are still here wrapping up our check at 9:30 and I know how hard it is to close up when customers are still around. That is when we should have left but we didn't we sat down Our waitress Kaitlyn came over and it started off good but she put in an order for these things we didn't want we gave them to a different waitress and then Katlyn brought them back over to us and said this is what you said you wanted and that she had repeated what we said We told her that no we wanted these claws dipped in butter so she goes back then brings them to my husband fried and got an attitude with us a second time she even said they didn't come the way my husband wanted them So we got a menu and they clearly state in the menu fried or sautéed in butter which my husband clearly stated how he wanted them prepared so she says she will just get us another server which I say is best so then Natalie is who takes over and we tell her we want 1/2 pound of peel and eat cold she brings out hot ones and says this is always how they come mind you the 1 pound order we had first with Katlin came out cold So after 3 issues still no manager has approached us So then we get our food My husband and I shared king crab lags they were old and tasted bad so we sent them back and we never got our two sides and the waitress Natalie even told us there seafood isn't fresh only the blue crab everything comes frozen she also has an attitude with us and is sarcastic about the fact my husband knows so much about seafood Finally I ask her if a manager is even on duty and she says yes and that he was well aware of the issues So he finally comes over and I explain to him as a manager he should have been at our table the first incident And I told him how we have eaten at this restaurant several times and this by far was the worst experience ever I was leaving mad and starving He asks me if I want anything else but no I didn't want old seafood or non fresh seafood I had had enough and wanted to leave!!! Do NOT eat at this restaurant!! It will make you sick!! We are locals and try to support restaurants near us but we will never go back!!!! I would recommend other restaurants over this one any day!! Thankfully, I go to a salon where everyone LOVES to share good ideas about food!!! We found out about High Tide Harry's last Saturday while at our stylist. The entire team was raving about this place, so of course, we had to go. What can I say? WOW!!!! The restaurant has a warm, rustic, seaside feel and the staff is DELIGHTFUL! We were greeted promptly and seated quickly at an inside/outside table near the bar area. We arrived during the 'happy hour' and were able to get some delicious appetizers at happy hour prices! We didn't realize the appetizers would be such huge portions! We almost didn't need dinner following the appetizers, but it all sounded so delicious, we just had to try. The Crab-cake appetizer is EXCELLENT! So moist and perfectly cooked, and the potato skins were a nice treat, too. I had the scallop and shrimp scampi, which, of course, following the appetizers, was impossible to finish, but OH HOW EXCELLENT! Cooked to PERFECTION and so yummy! Side of corn on the cob and garlic mashed potatoes. OH! GOODNESS in every bite! Hubby had the fish and chips and loved every bite. Now, it's one thing to have a great dinner, but at a sensible price? THAT'S A RARE THING TO FIND! Our server was Kai. She was so attentive and wonderful, and that just made our experience even better. Well, since we were already in deep with calories, we went for a piece of Key Lime Pie to take home. EXCELLENT! Don't worry about 'saving room for dessert'......TAKE IT TO GO! Perfect. The quality of Seafood is not very good. Been to High Tides several times. Once: we ordered the peel and eat shrimp and they were way overcooked and very old. Fish sandwich was tasty but the sides were just average. I think it is way over priced for the just average seafood items. I will drive further East to get some good stuff. read more

We ordered raw oysters which were huge in size and pretty good although they do not have mignonette nor know what it is; chargrilled oysters which were also a nice size but way too salty idk if this is how it's made all the time or not but if we get oysters again for happy hour I'd probably give them another try being that I'm from nola and love a good chargrilled oyster. My spouse ordered a fried shrimp and oyster platter and the breading was very weird and basically fell off before we could dip it into the sauce. This restaurant has a tourist vibe and reminds me of the seafood venues that line the main drag in Myrtle Beach. The menu is vast and they offer an early bird special until 5PM. The atmosphere is indicative of a seafood joint in a touristy city from the chandelier to the art throughout the restaurant and merchandise when one walks in. We were a party of 4 and took advantage of the early bird menu being we arrived around 4PM. My mother and I ordered a sangria and my daughter and stepdad opted for iced tea. They enjoyed their teas and our sangrias were below average. I anticipated this when the beverage arrived and color was a purple rather than red. The combination of fruit was very good, but the drink itself tasted like a sangria flavored soda. I finished mine, but my mom three in the towel after two sips. She and her husband started their meals with a side salad. My mom's initial salad had honey mustard dressing; however, it tasted more like Dijon so she exchanged it for a new salad with thousand island dressing. Two of us opted for the blackened grouper, served as a sandwich but the fish was plentiful and bread unnecessary. My mom ordered fried oysters and my daughter had a 1/2 rack of ribs. My daughter enjoyed her ribs and took some to go being the portion was generous. My mom said her fried oysters were not as good as her previous visit and she didn't finish them nor bother to box the remaining few. We grouper folks enjoyed our fish and the baked potatoes and corn were well prepared too. The restaurant offers hush puppies in lieu of bread. These are paired with a delicious brown sugar cinnamon butter. Although, the bowl only featured one puppy per person and the hush puppies are not large. The manager (or he mimicked one) was assisting with food delivery and visited the table in addition to our server. He was friendly. Our server was average and the food was about the same. I came to High Tide Harry's for one thing and one thing only: Oyster. Happy. Hour. And they did not disappoint. I walked into the restaurant at 3:35 and left at 4:00 sharp. Donna, my server, was a force of nature. Every time she walked anywhere even remotely near me, she was checking in on me. My oysters were out in no time flat, and they were real good. I also got complimentary hush puppies with cinnamon-sugar butter for the table, which were delicious. The service was so prompt that I hardly had time to get halfway through my first glass of water before I left. And none of this is to say I was rushed--I took my sweet time. The service was just THAT fast. I need to go back and try some of their other seafood options, but if you're looking for a place with a good oyster happy hour, they have it here from Tuesday-Sunday, 2-6pm. Paper menus are perfect during this time but the staff wearing the mask under their nose is a little embarrassing. I ordered the captain's seafood combo and the shrimp and fish tacos. The sides for meals included green beans, coleslaw, corn on the cob and garlic mash potatoes. Sadly to say, nothing tasted good.
