6/8/2026 - My friend who was visiting from out of town met me at the Drake. It was a recommendation from an another Yelper. We immediately loved the vibe of the restaurant. We ended up sitting at the bar. And I'm glad we did because the bartender was incredible. I had the most amazing espresso martini made with tequila. He definitely knew his way around the bar and cocktails. You just know when someone loves their job. We ordered the truffle fries with the four sauces. The sauces were all different and very good, but I have to say the truffle fries by themselves are the star. We also had the goat cheese croquettes, Maple Butternut Squash Puree, Truffle Honey. For dinner, we ended up sharing the Baharat Spiced Salmon, Red Quinoa, Sea Island Red Peas, Chickpeas, Crisp Local Greens, Orange Blossom Honey Mustard Dressing. Pros: This place had a killer Magical Dining menu. The ingenuity of it was leaps and bounds above most other restaurants in town. Ambiance was beautiful. It's in a great part of town, there's a stunning bar when you walk in the front door, and the space inside is used very well. Lot's of plant life throughout, it feels very homey. Service was great. Our server let us pace ourselves as we wanted. Unlike many other Magical Dining restaurants, we didn't feel rushed at all. We could enjoy our evening. The flavors that we got here were very very nice. That kimchi with that rib, that crispy octopus, that pomegranate gastrique on that crispy skin duck, and oh my goodness that corn-based dessert. Cons: The lamb dish was absolutely inedible. If you are coming here for Magical Dining, do not get the lamb. They will give you the leftover cuts and make you chew it like it's tar. Tips: I don't usually pay for any extras, but their special dessert that was only $8 more was one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Get it. read more

That time of the year. Magical Dining Month. The Drake did something very hard this year and made my top six list of good MDM menus. Very unique menu design that made me want to come here immediately. They put real effort into it, and I want The Drake to be celebrated for that. Too many restaurants are just lazy when it comes to MDM. So the location is great. Just off of the Lake Eola block, excellent parking options real closeby. And the ambiance inside was very nice and comforting, too. Huge windows, random plant sprigs everywhere, warm lighting with an exposed filament lightbulb aesthetic. And on this particular night, there was a really amazing live singer whose playlist was really impressive. The service was also amazing. We had a really nice server who tended to us very well all evening. And most importantly, we were not rushed. I know restaurants make you put in your whole MDM order immediately, so they can rush you through your discounted meal and turn your table ASAP, but we had time to kill before our Judson's show, and the server let us do just that. No pressure at all. Very appreciated. Now for the food. Here we go. Apps Chicharron De Pulpo (eggplant caviar, aji amarillo, green chickpea soubise). Wow, so good! A nice crispy, delicate breading on the outside, the most tender octopus you'll ever have on the inside, and paired very well with the slightly smoky eggplant and the deliciously pungent aji amarillo. A really great app. Heritage Pork Riblets (gochujang honey, togarashi). Also good. They aren't riblets, they're full on ribs. Cooked well, seasoned with a nice little zip from the togarashi and a nice little funk from the kimchi the ribs sit atop. Another nice app. Big fan. Mains Colorado Lamb Picanha (bone marrow peas, fingerling potatoes, chimichurri). This is what lost that fifth star. They obviously have two piles of lamb in the kitchen, and we got the lamb from the MDM pile. Hammered, overcooked, unrendered fat everywhere, sinew everywhere, just a disgrace of a main. I was very disappointed here. Confit Duck Leg (cured tender duck leg, fungi jon mushrooms risotto, pomegranate gastrique). Luckily we split all of our dishes 50/50. This duck was a dream. Very tender duck with a nice crisp skin. It and the fresh, veggie-forward mushroom risotto it sat atop were accented well with that sweet and fruity gastrique. So yum. Desserts Hazelnut + Chocolate Bombe (hazelnut mousse, dark chocolate, sea salt). Wow, the flavors here were great! Dark chocolate, sweet and hazelnutty mousse, and a real strong pop of salt that made this a really nice dessert. I never do this, but after seeing how small and sad the panna cotta looked at someone else's table, and because my girlfriend never gets the amount of desserts she wants when we're out and about, we sprung for the upgraded Pavlova De Maiz (corn husk, corn custard, brown butter ice-cream) +$8 And thank goodness we did. Very corny custard that accentuated the natural sweetness of corn, a slightly nutty amazing ice cream, and then that meringue was probably the best I've ever had. Crispy, soft inside, an excellent texture addition to all the other flavors on the plate. Just wow. Overall, this was a great MDM meal. So excited to have a good reason to pop in with the Bite 30 special. Bf and I decided on a spur of the moment date night downtown. We were originally quoted a wait on the phone but seated immediately. Overall it was quiet and most seats empty, I assume reservations were high. Service was very attentive and helpful in selecting orders. I started off with a good to - pork belly bites. And while delicious I would say the lack ribs were even better! Moving on to entrees he enjoyed his steak and o about it was very tender, well seasoned. I'm a bit more of an adventurous diner and went with the black rice dish. The seafood was cooked perfectly, I typically find octopus rubbery but not here. Very soft. Desserts were okay, nothing to remember but I would come back for those ribs and black rice. read more

My family and I went to The Drake for Bite30 and it was nice! Food portions were kinda small and were plated beautifully. The pork belly bites were a little too salty for me and the I personally feel like the bleu cheese overpowered the risotto. The best thing we had was the Pavlova de Maiz! Met some friends here to take advantage of the Bite 30 and we all enjoyed it very much. I had the lamb ribs appetizer, very good with a hint of spice. I found the steak frites a little chewy which was disappointing but they were flavorful. My zen and tonic with lavender flower was wonderful as was the Pavlova de maize ($8) up charge for that). The red flags were there right when we walked through the door. The restaurant is cooled by loud rolling air conditioners. We walked in to a woman complaining to the waiter that her steak was made badly. Yikes. Before we even ordered, we could tell the water wasn't great -- it smelled fishy like they really needed to change their water filter. Our cocktails were sub par. Mine was smoked, and it tasted like ashes -- nothing like the smoked cocktails we amateurs make at home. Our $21 lobster sliders (two sliders) tasted like freezer and unfresh fish -- and they smelled awful. And the fries tasted...empty? How does one mess up fries? They had no flavor whatsoever. Two waiters walked filthy rolling trash cans through the dining area past patrons eating their food. I was seated in full view of the kitchen, and it was horrifying. I feel really sorry for the waitstaff and kitchen staff for having to work under these conditions. We tipped the waiter extra because, dang! We paid over $70 for an appetizer and two cocktails. Why are the prices astronomical in comparison to the food and space, which are far below expectation? We left and went and got Chinese takeout that was much more satisfying and not overpriced. The Drake for happy hour is one of the best downtown. I went after work with my coworkers and what a wonderful time we had. We made reservations in advance since we were a big group celebrating a birthday. The space is gorgeous, it has indoors and outdoors (covered) seating areas. We stayed inside near the bar. We ordered drinks and bites from their happy hour menu and everything was on point. I had this delicious goat cheese croquettes and the truffle fries. My coworkers also ordered the marinated olives (spicy), the pork belly bites and the wagyu sliders. We all were happy with our meal. For drinks, I had the Basil + Betrayal (gin cocktail) and I liked it a lot. It was refreshing and tasty. Everything was great. I was impressed with my dinner experience at The Drake. I went for Bite30 and the menu options and drinks didn't disappoint. We were able to pair our dinner with happy hour drink specials which was a plus. All of one food was very good but the star of the show was the mushroom pizza. It was super tasty and the flavors were well balanced. The restaurant was well decorated and inviting. We sat on the patio with was comfortable as it offered some privacy from the sidewalk. I'm always blown away when there is an absolute gem of a restaurant on the 1st floor underneath an apartment complex. The pics and reviews online looked better than anything I saw on the main strip in downtown Orlando so decided to give it a shot. When you walk into the restaurant there is a hostess stand directly to your right. I sat at the bar straight ahead. Only downside is there are zero TV's at the bar. I would have liked to have watched some NCAA basketball, but no TV's. Bummer. The Drake has happy hour all day on Tuesdays. On Mondays-Saturdays it is from 3pm-7:30pm. On Sundays happy hour is from noon-4pm. The cocktails in pics looked delicious. I knew when I sat at the bar and saw the trays of spices, fruits, and garnishes that this was gonna be legit. Up first, a $16 Bolero. I enjoyed it, not a strong enough mezcal taste for me, but it was very good. The bartender told me their most popular drink is the $19 Smoked Banana Old Fashioned. I can see why this drink is super popular. Very strong banana taste and super light and easy to drink. This restaurant even stamps the 1 giant ice cube with a logo. Seriously anytime that happens you know the drink at worst is going to be a 9/10. Check my photos, it is super smoky too. Smoky to the point where I started coughing. Ha, Ha, Ha. My 3rd and drink was a $15 espresso martini. Super standard. Very strong and different espresso taste as it isn't out of a can. And for my 4th and final drink I tried a $15 Eternal Spring (cucumber margarita). Very standard and delicious. For food, I had the happy hour pork belly for $10. Really liked the taste, but it is literally 3 bites. Then, I had the $15 roasted brussels sprouts. I like my brussels charred. These were not at all. Would not get the brussels again. And lastly, tried the $18 wagyu sliders. I would definitely get those again. Oh, and I also had the truffle fries. This is the only restaurant I've ever seen that has a flight of ketchup! They were all fun to try. Super, duper friendly staff. Shout out to Leslie the bartender. She had great other restaurant recommendations for me, and bars that I favorited on my yelp and will get around to reviewing. I would definitely come back for drinks. Went for Bite 30. They ran out of the lamb ribs so they replaced them with the crispy duck wings. The wings were very crispy and flavorful! Maybe a little too salty though. The steak frites were delicious. The bearnaise sauce was great and I love any herb-topped meat. Steak was perfectly cooked. The truffle fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Amazingly flavorful! The ketchup flight was an interesting addition, though, the truffle fries are so flavorful sauce is not necessary. The carrot ketchup was nice with a little curry flavor and the mushroom has a great umami taste. It was worth trying! Probably better with the plain fries. My dad and I enjoyed our first bite 30 promotion for this year. Since my dad loves salmon, I chose this restaurant since it was offered in the menu. My dad booked a reservation using Resy, and had to send his credit card information as there was a no show fee. We arrived a bit early, but still welcomed and seated in a table near the back. We were informed about the Tuesday whole day happy hour, but only to find out that we needed to sit outside or in the bar to enjoy it. It was no worries, so we just ordered a mojito that wasn't in the menu, but the bartender was very nice to make it for us. However, it was so light that I could barely taste any alcohol if at all. It almost tasted like a mocktail instead. I felt no buzz at all. My dad said the same. For dinner, we chose the bite 30 menu. For appetizer, I took the lamb ribs, which was quite tender. The glaze added was very light, and I tasted mostly lamb, which was fine because I enjoyed the gamey flavor. The carrot slaw was good as it was pickled. My dad's salad tasted fresh, and I did enjoy the dressing they had. For main course, I had to take arroz del costa. It was black rice with shrimp, scallops, and octopus. All the seafood was wonderful, and I savored every bite with the rice. The scallops were the small bay scallops, but had a nice sweet flavor. The shrimp was nicely sized, and the octopus was quite tender. The rice was enjoyable with the garlic drizzle it had. My dad had the salmon, which he said was ok. He didn't enjoy the quinoa that was on the side, but when I tasted it, I really enjoyed it. The desserts were the stars of the meal. My dad enjoyed his chocolate bomb, while I loved the yuzu panna cotta. It was a bit filling, but loved the light yuzu flavor it had. The service was a bit busy, but still very friendly and helpful. Our server answered all of our questions, and helped us to the restroom as it was located inside the condo complex. He also discounted our drinks after we mentioned it was too light in the booze. The dining area is small and reminded me of an upscale cafe. The diners were at a quieter voice, and I was able to enjoy the disco jazzy music in the background. Outdoor seating was available and looked nice. Parking is available at the Radius parking garage and another garage nearby, but it does cost money. If you are lucky enough to find parking in the street, it's free after 6pm. I was happy to try Drake for our first bite 30 promotion. The three course menu was 38 dollars per person, which was a very good deal. I would come back again after an event in downtown, and maybe enjoy a signature cocktail and appetizers during happy hour. While my dad enjoys season 52 more, we were happy to give this place a shot and had a nice experience. Even better, since they use Resy, my dad had a 100 dollar credit this quarter from the Amex Platinum card, making the total out of pocket cost for us about 20 or 30 dollars after tips. After a horrifically long day at work, I needed something, anything, to help me relax and unwind. A friend picked me up and we went out to try something new. My only qualification was that it had to have a decent bar and a happy hour. We ended up at The Drake. I had never been, even though I had passed it unknowingly many times before. It was a rainy day, so we opted for inside seating. My friend and I did not have a reservation for the evening, so we got comfy at the bar. It seems that reservations are needed, cause the place was FULL. The bartender was friendly and helped us through the menu. I started with a Basil & Betrayal from the happy hour menu and some truffle fries. You cannot be sad when you have fries - those are the rules. Even though our night was just supposed to be drinks, everything was so good that we decided to stay for dinner. My friend and I split the Pie with a Purpose (onions, mushrooms, and ricotta pizza) and I was veeeery close to ordering a second one. It was SO good. I highly recommend The Drake for a nice night out with friends or as a date night dinner. The restaurant is elegant, but cozy, and the food is wonderful! Heyyyy what, we gonna dine with Drake at his kitchen?? Sorry, I just had to. Please forgive. In all honestly, we came here a few nights ago for Bite 30, and it was great. Drinks are smokin' (literally, get their old fash), apps are delish (lambs were falling off the rack but that octo was great), mains were amazing (steak was perfectly cooked, fries were fried super well, the arroz is a sleeper) and the desserts were BOMB (chocolate bomb was a hit, tart was unfortunately out and was one of the ones we really wanted to try though). So yeah, happy to be able to try such a variety as part of Bite 30 - will def go back, but be warned, menu prices can be pricy! But they do have affordable things like burgers, etc. One note - bathroom is kinda strange. You go through two doors before ending up in a residential apartment hallway - bathroom for Drake is allll the way at the end of this hallway. Besides that, the restaurant itself was nice. We dined at The Drake tonight for a friends birthday and I was so surprised and excited that the whole menu was or could be made gluten free. The sever was very knowledgeable about allergies and assured us that the fryer and most of the kitchen equipment is completely gluten free. While the food was fan nothing I had tonight blew me away, and I felt like it was a bit over priced for what was offered. It also took us almost 45 mins to get our drinks and the whole dinner took 2 1/2 hrs. I did have an espresso for dessert which was very good. The restaurant itself was very nice and clean, the bathrooms are in an odd place if you have to use them you have to walk behind the server station into a hallway shared by a few other businesses as well as some residential apartments, very odd placement. I will be coming back to give The Drake another chance during happy hour with a smaller sized party in the near future. read more

My initial impressions of The Drake Kitchen & Bar were not super high during their first year of opening. However, as time has passed and some of the "new restaurant" kinks have been ironed out, my return experience has helped shift my view on this local spot. It is located in the business district of Downtown Orlando - which, for parking purposes, can get a little tricky depending on the time of day you visit. However, there is a nearby parking garage you can pay to park in if your street parking luck is low. The restaurant itself has ample seating options, indoors, outdoors, and at their bar. Bar seating is more limited, but it's enough. The staff are friendly, very informative about the menu, and will happily guide you on any of the cuisine and drink options being offered. When the weather is nice, I recommend sitting outdoors so that you can people watch with your meal. It is downtown after all, so you'll always get some kind of passerby showcase. The food, as I mentioned, has improved for me. On my most recent experience, I went for an impromptu Happy Hour and Bite30 experience with a few friends. I started with their Summer Chopped Salad, which consisted of Edgewood Farms Kale & Tender Greens, Cucumbers, Radish, Roasted Tomatoes, Feta, Garlic Chips, and Boquerones drizzled with Avocado Caesar Dressing. It was quite good. I paired it with their Black Angus Steak Frites (Aged Angus Beef Picanha and Hand-Cut Potatoes Frites with Sauce Bordelaise). This was also quite good. And I closed out my Bite30 experience with their Summer Passion & Key Lime Tart - which was pretty tasty. By this point, I was pretty stuffed, so I took home some of my Bite30 options and enjoyed them the following day for lunch. Overall, my Bite30 Experience was really good. I also got to enjoy a couple of their cocktails. All in all, it was truly a pleasant experience. I'd definitely visit again to try a bit more of their menu. read more

Atmosphere is nice, service was a bit slow. They were out of the main dish I wanted , the short ribs and that was 7 pm on a Tuesday. Side salad was just lettuce, no onion , no tomato, no anything but curled lettuce with bland vinegar dressing. Now to my semi bad review. The chicken was dry and kind of bland , I do not recommend ordering it, somewhat all the spices in the description were missing in flavor. There also was a side sauce of sky adobo marinade that is hard to describe. Not a fan of that ! The only reason I did not give the restaurant 2 stars is the shrimp scallop pepper pot. Went here for a work happy hour in downtown Orlando and ended up really enjoying it. One thing I noticed right away was how easy it was to get to. Parking downtown can sometimes be a hassle, but this spot is on the corner with street parking nearby and a garage close by, which made it convenient. The space is nicely decorated and has an upscale, urban feel without being too formal. There's also a great outdoor patio, which is where our group was seated, and it made for a really nice setting. They had a full charcuterie-style grazing table along with several appetizers, and everything was fresh and nicely put together. It was a good variety, and there was plenty to go around. I tried two drinks, the mango mai tai and the strawberry basil spritz. The mai tai was definitely my favorite. It had great flavor and was easy to enjoy. The strawberry basil spritz was lighter and refreshing, but the mai tai stood out more to me. Service was excellent. The staff was attentive and kept everything moving without us having to ask. Overall, this place checks a lot of boxes. Good atmosphere, solid food, great drinks, and easy access. I'll definitely be back! I stopped in and had a really great time for my first visit at the Drake. The drinks were nice. The bartender was really cool as he mixed my cocktail and I tried a few different things. I tried the meat meatballs, the goat cheese, croquettes, and the brussels sprouts I'm a huge fan of brussels sprouts but I'll be honest I didn't enjoy them here. They were far too large and weren't seasoned well enough, but I would definitely be willing to try them again. Maybe they were just having an off day The ambience of the Drake is like a cool bookstore with lots of eye-catching decorations. The Drake represents a duck so you'll see plenty of duck decorations there all in all really enjoy it. Looking for a relaxing, after-work spot with good food and a good weekday happy hour in Downtown Orlando? Try The Drake, named after the duck and not the globe circumnavigator who helped sink the Spanish Armada in 1588. It's located across from the Courthouse and has an upscale, business professional vibe. Think "my job stresses me out and I'd like a chill, semi-quiet place with not bright lighting to not think about my job." Also, there's truffle fries.   Their happy hour is pretty good- - it runs 3pm-7:30pm Mon-Sat, 12pm-4pm on Sundays, and *all day* on Tuesdays. That menu includes a selection of beers on draft, bottled, and canned for $5, and wines for $10.   The happy hour and location got me in the door, but they've also got above average quality food (i.e. not just bar food). I sat at the bar and tried the Pie With a Purpose pizza based on the recommendation of a friend who'd told me about it. It comes with truffled mushrooms, caramelized onions, goat cheese, ricotta, and smoked provolone ($22). The bartender also recommended this to me, and the menu said 1/3 of proceeds of this went to a local charity and 1/3 went to their team, but I don't think their recommendation was just to upsell me- - this pizza was actually incredibly delicious, and a good value for the money. I ate about half and had plenty left over to take home (which tasted just as good warmed up the next day). I also ordered the truffle fries, which were a bit pricey for what they were ($15), but to be fair, they were very good truffle fries that came with a flight of dips.   It's situated on the first floor of an apartment building/hotel, but finding nearby free parking isn't too bad -- pick a street parking area a few blocks over (I picked Harwood) and walk about 5 mins if you want free parking, or pay for the garage attached to the building and walk about 3 minutes. The vibe here is calm, relaxing, and suited for folks who may have a stressful job nearby that they want to unwind from before calling it a day. The restaurant area also looked like a good remote workspace if that job hasn't in fact stopped for the day and someone is still messaging you on Teams at 6:14pm on a Friday. Ordered the steak and potato, substituted the potato for truffle fries and had an excellent dinner overall. Came here to celebrate my 30th birthday and had a table allocated out to make the setting more intimate. The owner, Roger, came out and mentioned that his wife handpicked the flowers and they were absolutely beautiful. Service was amazing, and we also got the pavlova for dessert. We went to The Drake last night and had a really good experience overall. We arrived around the last seating without a reservation, but the staff was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. The owner/manager was attentive and checked in on all the tables, which was a nice touch. We started with the crab and spinach dip, which was tasty, and the drinks were excellent definitely on point. For entrées, we first tried the half-cut steak, but it was unfortunately very fatty and difficult to cut (something I'd seen mentioned in Yelp reviews). We probably should have ordered it sliced the way the restaurant typically prepares it. Once we mentioned this, the staff was extremely apologetic and quick to make it right by replacing it with the grouper. The grouper itself was very fresh. Personally, I felt it was a bit over-seasoned with BBQ sauce, but my partner loved it, so that may come down to preference. What stood out most was the customer service. With metered parking nearby, it's easy to pop in--though once you're there, you won't want to leave. Came here for brunch with some friends on a Sunday. I have to say, I love the aesthetic of the place. It's fun decor and it was bright. I'd be curious to see what the mood is at night. Our service was great. The server had some really great suggestions. We shared everything we ordered. The red sangria was the perfect refreshing drink for a Sunday brunch. I have personally been obsessed with Carajillos and although this was not my favorite one ever, it was still pretty good. The fried chicken was nice and crispy. The pizza was very rich. I'm not really a fan of a thick crust but the other ladies enjoyed it. The salad was very good as well. All in all, I'd give this place another shot. We were there for a while drinking, eating and yapping. That was the whole point of the outing so can't complain! read more

I have been hearing great things about The Drake and some friends invited us to go for Bite30 so I was excited to check it out! We made a reservation and half of us arrived a little early so we sat in the bar area and waited for the rest of our party. The staff that welcomed us was very friendly and offered us water while we waited. Once seated our server was training a new employee who honestly seemed very knowledgeable for it being his first day! I'm pregnant and can't have alcohol or much caffeine so I opted out of getting a drink aside from water. Our server recommended the hibiscus tea and I declined because of the caffeine but he let me know it was caffeine free! I ended up getting it and I was so impressed! It had a slight spice to it that made it taste like fall and it was oh so lovely! I'd go back just to get some tea to-go! There were five of us in our party and we all ordered from the Bite30 menu which means apps, entrees and desserts for everyone. Service was kind of slow, it took a bit for our server to come back and take our orders and to check on us throughout our meal. Our food took a bit to come out although it wasn't super busy. For apps, our table got the beets + burrata: yum, delicious, great was the feedback, Prime Beef Meatballs: feedback- very good but kind of a small portion, Arancini: feedback- needed salt and kind of a small portion (I tried them and I liked them) and the Summer Chopped Salad which is what I ordered. I enjoyed the salad and I felt that the portion was appropriate. There were olives listed on the menu but I did not get any in my salad which was actually great because I don't like olives and planned to pick them out! For entrees our table got the Salmon: good, but a little undercooked for his liking, he ended up sending it back to get it cooked a bit more. Once cooked all the way through he was happy. Risotto x2- one vegetarian and 1 with chicken, both really enjoyed this dish! Black angus steak frites x2- both enjoyed this dish although I unfortunately had to send mine back as my cut was full of gristle and silver skin, I could hardly cut through it. Once I got a replacement I really enjoyed this dish. We both LOVED the fries and the mushroom ketchup but wished there was more than just a tiny little spot of it on the plate. We ended up asking for more ketchup. Desserts: Our table got the pannacotta x2, Pavlova and chocolate truffle tart x2. Everyone really enjoyed their desserts. The men of our group griped a bit at the portion size but then agreed it was the perfect amount after finishing. The Pannacotta was so neat and unique! I had a little bit of dessert envy, it was such a memorable dish! Overall, we agreed service was a little slow and although we had a couple hiccups I would return. The ambiance is wonderful and the food was good once we got everything sorted out. I saw a snippet of their brunch menu which seems very intriguing! Maybe we'll check that out next! read more

This restaurant has happy hour (bar and patio areas) all day on Tuesdays plus certain hours on other days. They are also part of the Resy app which for anyone with an Amex Platinum card. The happy hour food was really good for snacks with drinks. My favorites were the fries that came with the hot chicken sliders and the spicy sauce in the olives with the tahini on top of the za'atar spiced flatbread. All the bartenders and staff were really fun and attentive. The hostess even let me charge my phone behind the stand They have a large covered patio area. The bathrooms are a bit of a walk down a hallway that seems to have a few condos. read more

I ordered their prix fix menu. It was below average. The steak was not good. I ordered medium and they served it well. I told the server and they took it back but it was still well done after I received it. For dessert, I ordered the panna cotta. I've had panna cotta before and the consistency of theirs was not right. It was liquidy. At this point, I didn't wanna send my dessert back, so I just ate it anyways The owner and staff were great but food is subpar. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews when it comes to The Drake but I really enjoyed my brunch experience. Def want to go back for their happy hour and brunch! I ordered the white sangria and the drake benedict (& yes I got it with scrambled eggs). I really enjoyed both. The pork belly slab bacon was okay, I guess it just wasn't what I was expecting. The potatoes with the ketchup flight were chef's kiss! My waiter provided me with great service and really good menu selections. The restaurant was beautiful but it was so cold. It was a beautiful day so I enjoyed my solo brunch on their patio. There was a fan and the scenery was still nice. The Drake also offers lunch and dinner options. Be sure to try them out! read more

Still killing it! This restaurant is so slept on. Get yourself to the Drake for Bite30 2025 if you need convincing for a tidy sum, but honestly this place is really a cut above. You don't need Bite30 to sample a wide variety of their offerings. Even my partner, who is impossible to please sometimes, said he expects us to be eating there more often. Amazing, wonderful, attentive service from the server, bus boy, and owner. Our party did a mix of the prix fixe menu and happy hour items. I ordered the Bite 30 meatballs, steak frites, and corn pavlova with the nonalcoholic twisted Thuy. Meatballs were delicious, but smaller than expected. If you're ordering this as an appetizer to share, it's not a good amount to share. Steak frites...3 of us at the table ordered this at a medium rare and all 3 steaks were different sizes and temperatures. I was so looking forward to the mushroom ketchup especially since the server hyped it up and they literally put a half spoonful of it on the plate. The steak was a bit of a stringy texture but mine was cooked okay. The fries were very good, liked the "ketchup flight" that someone else at our table received. Definitely ask for the garlic aioli. The corn pavlova was very good and worth the upcharge compared to the other desserts. The matcha panna cotta was very small and one out of two of the panna cottas were sour and liquidy. Someone in our party compared it to salad dressing. The other panna cotta was sweet and perfectly set. This dinner also took a long time, we were there for over 2hrs. It felt like the prix fixe timing was off, we spent some time waiting and waiting after each course. Especially since the app was only 3 bites. I would come back to try it one more time because my dishes' flavors were enjoyable and I'd give them a second chance but I can't speak for everyone else in the party. Had a great experience at The Drake Kitchen + Bar in Orlando. We started with the tomato and burrata appetizer, which was absolutely fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. For my entrée, I had the wagyu beef with greens and potatoes, and it was excellent. Cooked beautifully and very satisfying. The food overall was very good, and the service was great--friendly, attentive, and efficient. We went tonight on a Thursday night, which turned out to be the perfect time since it wasn't crowded at all. We were seated quickly and served promptly, which made the experience even better. Cute restaurant and great service but left unimpressed. We started with the fried goat cheese which admittedly was incredible and made us excited for the rest of the meal. We shared the gochujang pizza and the lobster pie. Both were good but not great and I wish I could explain why. We ended with the corn dessert. Again, good but just eh. Our first experience here was nice. The servers and staff were very pleasant and friendly. My favorite dish of all was the French toast very crispy on the outside soft on the inside. Presented very well and not too sweet at all. The bacon was crispy on the edges and soft on the inside others may not like because it was a little greasy. Not pictured is the oxtail dish which was OK. The grits were not good. The oxtails meat was tough and chewy , and the eggs were not poached. The presentation was OK. The truffle fries were definitely homemade and the ketchup flight was very interesting out of all of the flavors that were presented. We only preferred the original and the mushroom. Overall, the views and the location are nice and great for a meet up with some appetizers to share and enjoy in my opinion. read more
