The tech diagnosed it as a faulty motherboard and said they needed to order a new one. I paid a $350 deposit upfront and the balance when the part was installed -- totaling over $600 for parts and labor. After the new board was installed, my fridge and freezer completely stopped working, and I lost hundreds of dollars in food. They eventually reinstalled the original motherboard and told me the refrigerator had just coincidentally failed and now needed a multi-thousand-dollar freon repair. The tech suggested I buy a new fridge -- which I did, for $1,100. But here's the truth: with the original board back in, the fridge worked perfectly -- error code and all. It never needed a motherboard, never needed freon, and definitely didn't need replacing. They misdiagnosed the issue, and worse, they kept the new part I paid for.
