Being in the construction industry and having to manage sewage abatement issues for clients this is the first time I had to manage one for my own home. Wes Cleaver and his crew take customer service to a completely new level. The stench of sewage was horrible coming from under hour house. I called Wes on a Friday afternoon after being referred to him from our plumber of over 20 years TNT ROOTER. Wes offered to come look and provide an estimate on Saturday but we had already had a family commitment. Tim offered to come Sunday at 3pm. SUNDAY! Wes came and was very professional and detailed. Again being in Construction Project Management my entire career his knowledge, tone and sharing documented photos he took while under the house gave me all the confidence I needed in his business. As promised, within an hour I had a detailed report and estimate emailed to me. SUNDAY!!! I digitally signed the quote and Wes had the crew scheduled for Monday 9am. Like clockwork the two man crew arrived. With proper introductions and further review of our home they found a better path to get under our house instead of going through our bedroom crawl hatch. This avoided any pump hoses having to run through our home. Protection plastic was placed around their path of entry and tools and materials were placed and ready to start work. Three hours later the work was completed, progress and completion photos were shared with me from their camera. There was no mess left behind whatsoever. Within an hour I had a complete detailed final report along with progress and completion photos along with a Certificate of Completion notice to document the space had been properly abated and was clean and safe for my plumbing repairs to begin. If you are in need of this type of service, do not look any further. You will be receiving quality service, documented results and piece of mind the work was done safely, cleanly and to proper state standards. I only have positive things to say about HVR. I had a great experience. I had a pinhole pipe leak, got that repaired and HVR was recommended by my plumber. They came out the same day my pipes were repaired and gave an estimate on the water damage done to the ceiling. They gave me recommendations and referrals and we had them do Mold Remediation. Everyone I talked to was very helpful. I talked with Wes who walked me through everything starting with the insurance claim process and everything else. I am so incredibly impressed with and thankful Wes and the High Velocity Restoration team for their extremely kind and professional help. We had a little bit of a water pipe damage situation in our house and as someone very very knowledgeable about the dangers of mold after water damage, I knew that I had to get this problem addressed ASAP! Needless to say, it was 1AM in the morning and I didn't think that anybody would be willing to drive out at night and take care of our situation but Wes and his team work around the clock 24/7 to address emergency situations. He arrived at our house at 1:15 am and in less than an hour, he took care of the entire situation and was very professional about following up the next following days with careful instructions. I am so glad I called High Velocity Restoration! They were one of three companies that I got bids from, and not only were they less than half the price of the most expensive company that gave me quotes, they were THE best to deal with overall. Every phone conversation that I had with High Velocity Restoration was with Wes, the owner, whereas the other two companies had office girls taking care of discussing the problem and the scheduling. Not that this is a bad thing, it just underscored the fact that Pro Connect is a small business, and I really like doing business with smaller businesses whenever possible. I feel like they care more about their customers and about doing a good, fair job which I definitely felt with Wes! From the initial conversation that I had with Wes, I felt that he was super conscientious. He sent me an email describing what would be happening under the house with regard to the leaking pipe, and when his guys were finished with their first inspection, they showed me photos on their phone of the water damage and then once again upon completion of the job and clean-up. They also covered the hardwood floors with butcher paper from the front door to the basement access before they got to work which I thought was really nice. Oh! And they came back an hour or so later to leave two jumpsuits for the plumber who was coming to fix the pipe. Again, really nice! All in all, I couldn't have been happier with Wes and his guys. My water main broke under my house and flooded the crawl space while I was at work. 8 hours later I came home to find the lovely pond under my house. The next morning, a plumber came out and inspected the broken pipe, but said he wouldn't be able to do any work until the area was dried up and cleaned. At that point, he recommended Wes and his team...and boy am I glad he did! Wes came out within a couple hours of that phone call and went under my house to see what needed to be done. He came out a muddy mess and told me what needed to be done, the time frame, and the estimated price. Everything he said held true. There were no unexpected costs or delays and I couldn't be happier. This company did a good job initially, however... When I asked Wes to send me an e-mail, confirming that they had to spray for mold TWICE... Wes suddenly "vanished!" He would not reply to phone calls, nor answer, and when we attempted to contact him from a different number and caught him on the phone... He promised to send an email stipulating the service that was performed here ( that is all we were asking for, due to the fact that it involves a health issue!)... But he never did! We talked to him between 8 and 10 times, asking for the same thing... over and over again, and we were promised every single time, that he would send it... As soon as we hung up the phone he never sent the information, and would not answer the phone either! We are extremely concerned with the lack of honesty of this company, and will continue to raise awareness so that no one else has to go through this! It appears, by my conversation with Wes, that the management company has ordered him to not supply the information and HE IS COMPLYING, "in order not to lose jobs!" He clearly made that statement, which means he's willing to lie in order to get jobs! He also stated he was going to schedule, and come by to spray a protective sealant on the mold, but that never happened either! It sounds to me, that it was a very quick fix / Mickey Mouse work on the mold, done at this place, because everybody is hiding the fact that it was still here... and quickly ordered the wall to be covered without inspecting and clearing it first! BEFORE they came out to spray the second time for mold, the management company stated that Wes had told them that the job had been "completed and TO CODE!!!" I wonder what code that is...! It is truly sad that our health doesn't seem to be worth much to Wes! The "good ol' dollar" is much more important to him! SHAME ON YOU! CAUTION!! Next step: BBB, Angie's list, entire Orange County neighborhood sites, and anywhere else this company may be registered or covers!! The most interesting part of this was Wes insisting that he lives his life by "faith and truth" (I actually believed his "sweet humble tone," at the time... sadly enough) ...but, not so much! Don't be fooled by the sweet fake Christian talk!! True christianism does not include lying to people in exchange for money! Make sure you hire a truly ETHICAL COMPANY who will not be afraid to put in writing what kind of work they performed at your place! 10/15/16 - COMPANY'S REPLY IS A COMPLETE LIE!!! This company has stated that the management company would not give them any more jobs if they confirmed on writing that they had been out to our place twice to treat for mold. West sent the management company an email confirming that the job has been completed and to code, when we still had existing mold in the wall , which was then sprayed for the second time by Joseph! This story about us threatening attorneys on the management company is a complete fabrication! We are not asking Wes for pricing or any information, other than a confirmation that the mold was completely resolved WHERE WE RESIDE! They have refused to provide us with simply that! Very, very dishonest, and "fishy!" BEWARE! The longer it takes, the more it will be escalated! Be honest, Wes! You stated that what they are having you do ( the management company) is not honest, and that you were going to do what was right, and provide me with a statement of the work performed here, which is the Christian way (as you stated) ...still waiting 10+ requests later! I was very pleased with the remediation of my mold in my kitchen (see previous posting) although the final bill was more than twice the estimate ($2471.55 vs. $6276.31) Many events got in the way of my reconstruction. Wes did finally mention that his company could come back and replace my kitchen. I was delighted to have the opportunity to work with them again. I began conversations with Wes in late December to begin the repairs in January. An appointment was set up for his foreman to come out to look at the job. They had to cancel and rescheduled the appointment (the first of many "no shows"). A couple of days later they arrived to take measurements for an estimate and took a sample cabinet facing with them. For the next month (January), I had to constantly call and be pro-active. Discussions about what I wanted done began on January 3 by email. I was promised an estimate shortly ("by the end of the weekend", "In a few days"....). Fast forward to the end of January and I still had not received an email with the estimate. To this day, I never received an estimate for reconstructing my kitchen. I decided to go with someone else. Then I ran into the next problem. I needed to get my cabinet facing back as a template for my new cabinetmaker. I began asking for it on February 17. "It's in the warehouse". "We can't locate it." "I found it." "I will get it to you." More broken promises. I waited around for each "delivery" starting on Friday, February 24. No call, no text that Wes was NOT coming over on the day he said he would. I had to again be the one to constantly verify delivery so that I would be home. No drop off on any of the days that was scheduled. Last frustrated attempt was on Friday night (a week after the first promised delivery). I was assured that the piece would be dropped off between 5 and 8. By 8 PM I had to again text Wes to see when he would be coming by. No big surprise. He wasn't going to show up on Friday night. It's Saturday morning (March 4th). He said he would call between 9-9:30. Sent him another text at 10. Still no show or contact. Called him at 10:20. Latest...Joseph should be there in 15 minutes. A knock at my door and I now have my cabinet facing back. I was initially very impressed with High Velocity Restoration. They were attentive to my needs and immediately began work to get rid of my mold. It was a very stressful time for me. Fast-forward and I have changed the way I feel about this company. It is very frustrating to have to continually be chasing a company to do obtain an estimate or retrieve what was taken from me. I would have appreciated Wes simply telling me that he did not want the job. I would have been less frustrated if I did not have to wait around for no shows. My time is just as valuable as the next persons. I understand that I am not the only one out there. I understand that my job would be considered small. But that does not make me any less a valued customer. I wasted a lot of time and energy trying to give High Velocity Restoration my business. It delayed getting my kitchen back to working order by at least a month. I wish that circumstances were different, but my review is valid because I have included facts and a time line in hopes that someone else will not have to go through what I did. I am submitting this updated review to let others know that I can no longer vouch for this company's reliability. It would have been simpler for all involved if Wes/High Velocity Restoration had said that they didn't want my business. The run around that I received is not good business practice and very unprofessional. read more
