HighBrow is a welcoming, beautiful restaurant with excellent food and the best service for miles (not even joking, our dinner came in 2 minutes). Our waitress was quick and extremely nice. The pizzas here are outstanding (my recommendation is the truffle and mushroom one) and the potato and cheese was great, plus the meal finished nicely with the Milk and Cookies dessert. I would recommend HighBrow to anyone who enjoys a nice high quality meal with a beautifully crafted dessert that is soft to your palate. Seriously, you should try. This place is great. We sat in the covered alley, which had great ambiance and the kids loved it. Pizza was excellent. Great specials. Kids pizzas are pretty big (pub size) so 1 would have been more than enough for my younger two to split. Kids menu says gelato comes with their meal but the server said they don't carry it anymore. We had the meatballs with polenta and red sauce and agreed that it was hands-down, the best meatballs we've ever eaten. I'm take-it-or-leave it on polenta and this polenta was delicious. If I lived in the area, I'd go back weekly just to eat that dish. The pizza was good, too. Nice crust. Interesting toppings. We had one with lemon. The cake was also yummy. My family has rejected every homemade meatball I've ever made. I'm a good cook so that gives you some indication of how discriminating my teens are about their meatballs. Not a fan of the Mac and cheese - it's not good - greasy and topped with cheez its. I had the Old World pizza which I found to be bland. The meatballs were different with sausage mixed in, it went well the the appetizer with polenta. We liked the goat cheese appetizer and calamari all though the portions were very small for the price. This place is so good! We were staying at the hotel north Hampton and able to easily walk there. The specials had an ahi tuna plate and mussels that were to die for. The Umbria pizza is also so so good! The atmosphere is fun and lively and the service was great too. Made an impromptu stop here on our way back from VT. Staff was friendly and quick to seat us without a reservation. Great cocktails, decent draught selection and a small but curated menu. Originally was drawn in by the pizza on their website. It unfortunately came out severely undercooked. The bottom was completely white and the dough on the inside was gooey. I took one bite and knew right away. They offered dessert and took it off the bill which I greatly appreciated! My heart goes out to the pizza chef, I'm sorry man, but I just couldn't do it. I appreciated the great service however. The arugula salad was excellent along with the seared tuna appetizer. I got the strip steak with a perfect sear on the crust and a delicious side of veggies. All I can say is the manager was awesome and took care of the several issues we had. The food is very good as well. That said... do not go until they have more staff. This is an issue with many restaurants post Covid. It was not a good experience. It really made the night unpleasant. The are understaffed and overwhelmed. We were so excited to return to High Brow. We came once before and, although the cellar is not a great vibe, the food was excellent during our first go. This time, however, everything seemed to go wrong. My partner and I were the first seated in our section. But, it was a solid 20 minutes before our drink order was taken. We submitted our meal order at the same time as our drinks to not add to the delay. My partner ordered the Salmon and I ordered the Chicken Parm. We waited and waited as the tables surrounding us all received their food. They were all seated after us. On the way back from serving another person's table , the server turned and said I'm so sorry, we'll have yours right out." After another almost 20 minutes, our dishes were served. My partner said their salmon was great, however the risotto was very undercooked. I had the opposite problem. The pasta that came with my dish was good, but the chicken was so dry and rubbery. I was so disappointed. We had waited so long. The server took my plate and said he's take it off of my bill. He then came back and offered me a free app. I ordered the fried mozzarella. It arrived burnt. I took a bite and thought "what is wrong with this?" Then took another and realized just how dark the breading was. Having only had 2 bites of pasta before my chicken parm was taken away, and two bites of mozzarella, I left still completely hungry. Additionally, in our last 5 minutes in the restaurant, one of the cooks put plastic either in the oven or the fryer setting off the alarm to the restaurant, which was still going off when we left. Overall, whoever was cooking and managing the kitchen this evening was not of the skill level as what we've experienced before. It was very disappointing. read more

My family and I went here on a Thursday before my wedding weekend and had a blast. Despite the wide variety on the menu (which sometimes can be a red flag at restaurants) everything we ordered was amazing. Special shout out to the wings, ribs, pizzas, and salmon. Today was opening day for your restaurant. I was excited to try your wood fed kitchen pizza and i have to say it was absolutely amazing! My server PJ was always around and available if I needed anything. He even came over with a fresh block of cheese and grated it right over my pizza which was so much better then having it in a shaker as so many other restaurants do. There was also another server named Krystal who was very attentive and extremely polite who also made sure that I was not in need of anything and made sure my ice water was consistently full. I highly reccomend this restaurant to anyone who wants a classy and top of the line service with food that is phenomenal. read more

Had reservations but still had to wait 20 mins for our table, which was smushed between a wall and the very busy kitchen / bathroom entrance. The waitstaff was apologetic, but at that rate, I would have preferred to wait another 10 mins for a better table. Our waitress never stopped by to ask us how our food was and didn't refill water promptly, except for when she asked if we wanted anything else or for the check. Something about my experience a few days ago didn't sit right with me. The deconstructed Ceasar salad was pretty bad, and the lettuce was somehow burnt and soggy. The Ceasar dressing was watery. On the other hand, the Margherita pizza was quite good: the red sauce was light and fresh, and the mozzarella had a nice flavor. I was surprised when the check was dropped off at the end of dinner. The waiter told me that the restaurant owner would pay her $20 for each five-star review on yelp that mentioned her by name. I'm all for highlighting and rewarding workers for their effort, but this felt like aggrandizement on behalf of the owner. This feeling was heightened by the glamour shots of the owner on the wall, as well as the name of the restaurant itself. The service was friendly, and the waiter had good timing. Of course, I want her to get a bonus. But it pressures the customer to give a five-star review, whether or not it is reflective of their experience. I hope the proprietor starts to focus more on creating a five-star dining experience for customers, rather than trying to superficially inflate his Yelp rating. read more

Always end up taking a detour when traveling to the Berkshires from Boston to stop at Paradiso in Northampton for a guaranteed excellent meal. Tonight made the usual turn in the center of town and discovered Paradiso was gonzo. In its place is High Brow. The good news is this Is mucho Paradiso. A nice eclectic menu that still includes its primo wood fired pizzas. Nice wine selection too. Excellent salads loaded with tons of fresh veggies. Didn't have room for dessert because of the generous portions from the main course. Nice warm friendly vibe from the wait staff, special shout out to Amber.
