I emailed the team here and they got back to me quickly. I sent them a mock up of the image I wanted to work with so they had an idea, as well as, the location I preferred. When I arrived, the artist was able to do a transfer for me and we opted to move the placement a little bit higher up my wrist as I have a dominate tendon that could have been more painful and made it look odd with the movements. I liked that she advised me on her logic and why she thought it was best to move it up about an inch. The tattoo took about 30 minutes and was wrapped up nicely. The place was very clean and everyone was very professional. It healed up nicely and still looks great. I get a lot of compliments on it. Finished getting my jestrum, both nostrils, and my nips done and wanted to share a tad more about how comfortable and great this experience was. Jestrum and nostrils were very straightforward, the same amazing amount of checkin and adjustments to make sure everything looks good at all angles and at all stages of smiling. Getting my nips done was something I had psyched myself out about in preparation to getting, not knowing if it would somehow be more awkward than my previous experiences, but I was so happily wrong! Stevo turned around while I disrobed, and it was as clinical and comfortable as possible, with absolutely no uncomfortable touching or staring. We checked angle and placement, and then all was go! He briefly checked in before swapping sides, but made sure to move quick enough that I didn't lose much of that runoff adrenaline from the first one. Just like my first experience, Stevo is really just a dream to work with. His work is absolutely worth the price, and his multi-piercing discount really is awesome. I would gladly pay more for all the work i've gotten from him if I had to start all over again. The experience and extended care post-piercing paired with his experience and attention to detail are what keep me coming back to him again and again. The piercing went great, he offers medical grade lidocaine which I passed on because he did tell me honestly that the helix wasn't too bad. For aftercare he offers a saline mist to clean the area which I'm so glad I purchased ($11) because it gently sprays the area which was super nice. Instead she received below average service and got charged $365 for improper service, standards AND met with non apologetic beings. She SHOULD have received what she asked for. But if they did not have proper gold surgical jewelry to provide her they should have vocalized that. Instead. They gave her non surgical jewelry. On top of the jewelry being non surgical, the Jewelry is also FAKE. After speaking to multiple sources... she then decides to rectify her experience in person at the shop, where the team there said it wasn't there problem. How is it not? When you provided a horrific experience and left her to the deal with the damages. Not disclosing your true inventory and luring her into paying a fee that was NOT worth it. She showed them pictures of her tummy after hours of procedure, even though they claim there is no proof... DO NOT go here. SCAM ALERT. I know the economy is bad but treating good paying customers like this will not be tolerated.

FIRST EXPERIENCE: I had my first tattoo done at Chicago Tattoo Co during Covid. The artist did an…read moreamazing job, it's beautiful, I practically fell asleep during the appointment, the lines were clean and the steadiness of their hand was impressive. No blow outs or anything. They made sure I was happy with the size and placement. Wonderful experience. Unfortunately, that artist seems to have since left their business. MOST RECENT EXPERIENCE: The second interaction I had at Chicago Tattoo Co was with Tim. I recently lost my dog who was a huge part of my life for 14 years. I was looking to get a piece done of her that looked "faded" as if she were just beyond the veil. I brought an awful sketch with me that I did in about 30 seconds in my car before going in. I can't draw, but I wasn't trying to create something good anyways. Just something to express the "faded" idea I had in my head, since I couldn't explain it with words. Instead of trying to understand what I meant, Tim's first reaction was to judge the drawing. He said things like "I'm trying to be nice" and "no one will know what this is" "it could be a pig"... Once we got past the -its just an example- conversation, he moved on to the size and details of the piece. He said "good" tattoos have to be a certain size and I needed to go bigger. I was not willing to go bigger. By the end of the conversation, he had insulted my quick sketch, my idea, and many people who have tattoos currently that don't live up to his standards. I felt bad for those who have tattoos they love that he crapped all over. He literally called them "shitty tattoos". RECOMMENDATION: I cannot recommend Tim for literally anyone, despite his obvious talent and skill. A man that only appreciates the work he'd do himself is not an artist I'd want tattooing me, because they're likely to have trouble listening. However, Chicago Tattoo is a hub of very talented individuals in general, and its a clean environment. I have attached an image of the sketch I brought in and another sketch that took me about 8 minutes. The second is closer to what we discussed in person, but I can't imagine the first is SO bad that he really couldn't understand what I meant through conversation...it was just a visual aid anyways.. Side Note: Wether someone else likes or recognizes what your tattoo is shouldn't matter. It's what the art piece represents to the person getting it done. Get whatever you want. :)

Went somewhere else, don't bother. Even when we were going to buy the $150 dollar jewelry. It was difficult to communicate with the piercer. I'm not sure why. We were made to feel that we could not afford the products or that perhaps we were there to steal. Being so uncomfortable we took flight as at this point we felt the need for someone more credible? It was weird.
