At Highlands, we know that checking out a new church can be more than a little nerve wracking. We get it, so we go out of our way to make your first time visiting as smooth as possible.
We have an abundance of onsite parking, with signage that leads you into the building through an outer courtyard. Once inside, directions are clearly marked as you make your way into the lobby for information or a great cup of coffee. For real, it’s incredible coffee. The lobby is also perfectly suited for connecting with friends, or even watching service with your small children.
If you have kids, we have an exciting program just for them upstairs in our secure kids wing called “Highlands Kids”! There, the kids will learn about Jesus and what it means to follow Him in ways that are relevant to their age or grade. (Note: All team members are background checked)
The worship gathering or “church service” is typically 75-90 minutes, filled with singing, communion, prayer, scripture, and a sermon each week. It all happens in a beautifully modern, yet historic auditorium. Grab a spot wherever you want, whether on the floor, or in the balcony!
After the gathering, there is time for prayer or continued time of connection in the lobby. We hope you’ll join us! But if you’d like to check it out online first, head over to our YouTube channel, or watch our livestream.
History
Established in 1945.
Highlands Church has been part of the Crescenta Valley community for over 80 years. It was founded on the basis that God's love for each of us is one of the important truths of life. In 1945, a group of Swedish- Americans founded this church. Today, Highlands Church is a multi-generational congregation "Following Jesus Together".
Meet the Manager: David J.
Hello. We’re the Johnsons, and we’re so grateful you decided to stop by. Wherever you are on your journey of faith, we want you to know that you’re welcome at Highlands Church. Why? Because God loves you and so do we.
We know the pace of life can be crazy, and things don’t always work out the way we plan. We know parenting can be hard and relationship can be confusing. We know faith can be scary as we try to make sense of the world.
We get it. That’s why we’re here. To make a way through the wild, so the lost can be found and the found can be free.
Because even with all the questions, we believe there’s an answer, and His name is Jesus.
So… come and see what God is like, as we follow Jesus together.
