I got the cheese pizza, and it was really fresh. I liked it a lot. The people are super nice, service is quick, and the location's on the west side of Manhattan in Midtown, so it's very nice. It's open almost right now. It's like a small space with maybe five people here, but you don't feel crowded because this place usually isn't in walking distance, so you get undivided attention when you're served in person. My slice came to $3.50, which was pretty good for how big it was--like, it was a pretty good NY slice, and the flavor was really pronounced. We came here after seeing Sleep No More and needed some food and needed it fast! We ordered pepperoni, cheese and meat lovers. I enjoyed the pepperoni pizza! The sauce wasn't sweet, which I liked. While attending Scentxplore on West 28th Street where we weren't allowed to bring anything to eat and drink I had spotted this pizzeria. I came here as I was famished. Unfortunately the pizzas didn't look appealing as the crusts looked leaden. I opted for the empanadas. A mistake as the chicken one was dry and so was the ham and cheese. I threw half away. $8+change. Waste of money. On top of this they couldn't give me a cup of water that the majority of pizzerias willingly give with a smile. This pizzeria is small with a counter where two people were sitting. I stood opposite the area where the pizzas were being made as it was drizzling and eating in the rain is not a pleasure. We ordered two slices: one slice of Chicken Cutlet and Broccoli Pizza, and one slice of Pepperoni Sausage Pizza which were both super meaty and satisfying!! Just close the doors. tried this place 3 times in a 1 month span and today was the last straw. Although the flies were free i did not appreciate having them fly out at me when i opened the box.after they were able to chow down on my slices for the 2 block walk. The Good: its 2 blocks from my office The Bad: this is NYC and your pizza tastes terrible. The Sicilian is a bunch of puffed up dough with a dab of sauce and fake hard cheese on top. the regular slice is undercooked dough that separates from everything else. That's still not the worst of it. You're an old style pizza place. if you advertise a slice for $3.50 i should be able to walk in there and put down $3.50 and walk out with a slice. Not the case. They actually nickel and dime you and charge you tax. also, while they were waiting for the flies to get comfortable on my slices i had a chance to look around and my god that place is filthy, everything is dirty, the employees even had dirty uniforms right after opening. the air filter above the oven tells the whole story. but now at least there are 2 less flies there. should be ashamed of yourselves read more

Yelpers don't be fooled by the "4 stars" you see on this joint. I came here yesterday for the first time to try Highline Pizza and it was a huge disappointment to say the least. My husband ordered 2 slices of the BBQ chicken and I ordered the only pizza that looked like it was the freshest (the grandma). As soon as I opened the box to check out the 3 slices I could clearly see that it just didn't look right. I don't know what the heck these guys are doing or not doing with the pizzas, but this pizza was not made that day. I decided to tasted the Grandma slice anyway and it wasn't that bad compared to the other 2 slices my husband ordered. We both one-hundred percent agreed that this pizza couldn't possibly be fresh and was probably one of the worst pizzas we've ever had. Seriously this is not an exaggeration. For my husband to say that he wouldn't bother eating these slices right after we paid $14 bucks is totally unheard of. We ended up tossing out 2 of the slices of the BBQ pizza and shared the 1 slice of grandma. After this pizza fiasco we ended up walking to another pizza joint that's totally legit when it comes to the freshness of their pizza.
