The crust was perfectly balanced--crispy on the outside, light and airy inside--with a depth of flavor you can only get from proper fermentation and technique. Not as big as your typical NY slice. In fact I couldn't recommend buying this pizza by the slice. As a pie I still found it to be a little small. Their largest pie is 16in and comes with about 8 slices. This should be enough to split between 2-4 people. As far as price goes you're gonna pay about the same or slightly less than other NY pizza places. Despite these issues I thought the pizza tasted great. It's a delicious classic NY slice made to near perfection. I was worried how it looked but the taste made it well worth it. It helped that I was able to get a great discount from Door Dash otherwise I might have a different opinion. I'd give it a 3.5 if that was possible but I'll settle for a 4. I give this place a lot of kudos just for the fact that they offer delivery and did not hang up on us when we asked if they deliver. No lie, we called about four to five places before this one that simply hung up. And I'm saying not a "good-bye" then hang up, but a straight "no...(dial tone)" after being asked if they deliver. I guess the joke is on me, Delta must have thought it was funny to stick a family of four in a downtown hotel that was located in the heart of drugs-and-short-skirts-R-US Ville. After the phone fiasco occurred as mentioned above, we finally found this pizza shop. We ordered an 18-inch cheese pizza with garlic knots and a 2 liter of Sprite. The delivery was super fast, 20 minutes, the knots were less than a dollar and we got four, and the pizza was very tasty (enough for each of us to have two slices each). The only critiques are that the knots were too garlicky (but I liked them) and the pizza could have been cut better, instead of us having to rip it apart. However, the pizza was delicious and the cheese to sauce ratio was perfectly balanced. Overall, this was a great experience. The locals might say that there are better places; however, for a family of four wanting good pizza and less in-da-club atmosphere in our life, Gotham was a great choice. Enjoy! read more

Gotham Pizza offers solid slices with a unique twist. Their crust is made from a corn based flour. It still has the makeup of a traditional New York slice but the dough is slightly less stretchy and crispier. It has a slight gritty texture as well. Though the crust and dough are different, their toppings and cheeses were traditional and fresh. White Slice (4.5/5): Their White Slice is everything I expect. It had plenty of mozzarella and ricotta. Their cheese was stretchy and fresh. The easiest way to ruin a White slice is to overly caramelize the cheese or not put enough cheese on the slice. Gotham avoids both of these mistakes. Margarita Slice (4/5): Their Margarita Slice was also great. It had more mozzarella than most places. Most places put too much tomato sauce and not enough cheese on their Margarita slices. I was glad to see my slice came with plenty of cheese. Cheese Slice (3.5/5): Their Cheese Slice was the average. I find their style of pizza very interesting. It's not quite super thin crust, it's definitely thin crust, and I would almost describe it is the opposite of Original Ray's Famous Pizza. The cheese they use is not as pillowy, the dough is crispy not soft, and they put herbs and spices on every slice. That's actually the marquee difference between Gotham Pizza and all others. I actually like that there's very little crust on their pizza so you don't end up just eating bread at the end of your slice. It's served hot, so let it cool lest you get a brunt-roof-Of-the-mouth situation where the skin comes off over the next few days- and what do you do with that skin? Spit it out? Eat it? I mean it's already in your mouth. Is it weird to eat your mouth? To eat part of your mouth? I highly recommend this joint, it's good pizza for a fair price and stylistically it's very much it's own.
