On a roadtrip to Eagle from California and we saw this place on the way and decided to stop for lunch. It's such a cool little pit stop a few minutes off the freeway but the food was worth it. Well, unbeknownst to me, Highway 30 Drive in IS STILL OPEN! Just Monday thru Friday. Was scrolling thru and their ad said open. I called and got the thumbs up. Drove right down and placed my order. Bacon Cheese Burger, Onion Rings and a small chocolate shake to go! YUM! The burger patty goes all the way to the edge of the bun. Cooked perfectly, bacon too. Ordered with Lettuce, tomato and mayo only. Onion rings ... to die for and a small chocolate shake. Comes with whip creme on top. About $22 .. I'll go back when I'm too lazy to cook!! This was a great find. The town of Mountain Home is adorable. The drive in is awesome in that you drive up, they come out with a menu and you can order and eat in your car. On 6/23/23, I visited Highway 30 Drive In, located in Mountain Home. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger ($9.90), which comes with a drink, and your choice of fries or tater tots. I asked to substitute onion rings for an up charge. My meal cost $13.14 + $.52 for paying with a credit card. The grand total was $13.66. Built in 1955, this building was originally KwikCurb Diner. The structure was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in July 2010. Highway 30 Drive In has a 4.7 rating on Google Reviews. I like that they serve Pepsi products. My drink had good carbonation. Like most places, the onion rings are frozen/premade. They were pretty good. I was really excited to try the burger, which was made with care. I'm not that picky when it comes to fast food hamburger patties. The majority of fast food hamburger patties I've eaten have been frozen/premade. But there was something about this hamburger patty that I found off-putting. I'm no expert in frozen/premade hamburger patties, but if I had to guess, I suspect it has a lot of filler. The beef patty didn't look like real hamburger, and it didn't taste like it either. I took two bites, and I was done. Later, I went to take another look at the reviews. Lots of people commented on how big these hamburgers are. In retrospect, I think they are referring to the size of the hamburger patty. Given how much food prices have increased, I can understand why people would be impressed with receiving such a large hamburger patty, as part of a combo deal for less than $10. But I would've rather had a 1/4 lb. burger with less filler. Mexican food makes up about half of the menu. If I were to visit again, I would order off that part of the menu. The service was excellent! Here's how it works. After parking your car, server an employee comes out from the building and brings you a menu. The majority of customers seemed to be doing takeout. If you choose to stay, you can eat in your car, or do as I did, and sit at one of the covered tables on the cement pad in front of your vehicle. Okay it is a little somewhat of a run-down drive in. Reminded me of some places my dad would take me on a cross country trip on Route 66. (If you're under 35, google it!). But the food was very good and the service was fast and with a smile. I tried the torta with a chocolate shake and would do it again. Off the beaten path, but worth it. read more

An actual Drive-In where you pick a spot and someone comes to give a menu and take your order. There's a good variety of food from burgers, sandwiches, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, burritos and quesadillas and more. Meals got a choice of fries or tater tots and you get good ol "fry sauce" to dip in. The prices are a bit high ($10-ish for the chicken quesadilla, as example) but you definitely get what you pay for: delicious, filling food...and in the case of the quesadillas, they have got to be my FAVORITE chicken quesadillas in town. Thick. Cheesy. Nice sized chunks of delicious chicken within it. It takes a bit for the food to get ready, so definitely come over when you have time to relax in your car (or at one if the outdoor tables). read more

Well worth the trip off the interstate! We stopped at 9:00 pm taking the chance that something would be open on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was quite just before closing. They made fresh tortillas for our street tacos. Both chicken and beef are flavorful. The home made hot sauce had great flavor and heat! Had to come back through Mountian Home and detoured again to stop and eat. This time at a civilized 6:00pm. Again we both enjoyed our food and will stop again when we come back in two weeks. It is good to note that there is no inside seating. We have found the service very accommodating they really work hard and are always on the go. read more

I spent $21 for two large sodas and two burrito "meals" that come with fries. 2 sodas, 2 burritos, and 2 fries. I started on the fries and drove across town to deliver the second meal to another person. On the drive, I peeled back the foil and started on my burrito. It was refried beans, rice, cheese, and sour cream. The foil and the tortilla were hot; however, the beans were cold, to the point that the cheese hadn't even melted. There were crunchy uncooked pieces of rice, too. I took 4 bites and decided that this was not worth the price paid and returned to the restaurant for a refund. I will not return. read more

Of note, it's definitely a Drive In, so bad on us, we got out as the waitress came up to our car to take our order. Visiting the area and looked for a local option rather than a chain. Picked up a beef super burrito and fries for the Mrs and I had the mushroom burger and fries. The burrito was massive and the burger was sized a bit bigger than something you'd get at 5 guys or a smash burger place. Fries were better than average and the burger was very good and not greasy at all. My wife really enjoyed the burrito and said it was full of flavor. Only thing of note is it was a bit heavy on the beans so take note if you're not a bean lover. Ambiance...Dine in options are available but there are a decent amount of birds you'd have to contend with as it's an outside seating area but you can eat in your car in a covered car port. We found this gem on Yelp while in search of a quick lunch. What a pleasant surprise. It's a real drive-in, they come to your car and take your order. We ordered the small taco basket with beef and a chicken quesadilla. The tacos were delish, packed with tender chopped steak and plenty of fresh cilantro and onions. The chicken quesadilla was crispy, cheesey, and filled with thigh meat (so flavorful. Lola, the owner, explained to us that they keep their meat selections simple in order to provide the freshest meals. She also recommended a few places to visit locally.
