Good food, good prices. Had the 1/2 order of the Manhattan Omelet. Filled with a lot of meat and cheese. It was a little greasy but overall tasty. Others in my group had the Turkey sandwich (looked really good) and the crispy chicken (looked like a generic frozen breaded patty). Service was good, the place was packed. Support local!

Located in the old Turner House, this historical cafe has nostalgic charm. A person walked by my table and the floor squeaked and my table moved a little. I wouldn't change a thing about it . Love it! Our waitress Melissa greeted us with a big smile and provided us with top-notch service. I have to say that my enormously large pancake was one of the best pancakes I've ever had. It reminded me of the pancakes that my great grandmother used to make when I was a small child. I had one pancake for portion control but I could only eat about 1/3 of it. The best part is the crunchy edges all the way around. You are not going to beat their prices either. We were pleasantly surprised to see that this place provided good food at a reasonable price. You don't see that much anymore. I cannot wait to go back to this place again.

Came here on a trip from Boise to Twin Falls. Seemed like a nice local place, which it was. Under staffed, which seems to be too frequent. You could tell when we entered, since we were not locals, we didn't get immediate service. Employees working hard, but inefficiently. Ordered the soup of the day and a chicken sandwich. I was done with my soup before my husband's chicken sandwich even came out, although we saw it sitting in the window forever. Chicken sandwich was horrible, bun was burnt, no flavor at all, curly fries were overly crispy and ice cold. Took forever to get our check. We like to support small town small businesses, however, we will not back.

Not very good- haven't been here in couple years - stints was closed so friends wanted go here get "loco moco" - I added toast and sausage links ( charged $3.50 and I got one sausage link! ‍) the gravy on it was really good - most of the hash browns were under cooked and "wimpy"not crisp at all, to added to the situation cut hamburger Patty (pretty thick decent portion $ and the inside was pink mushy and not cooked at all ....service was pleasant and fairly fast - be another few years before try it again for sure

    Says "open". And blinking.

Place closes at 2pm. Walked in at 1:34 and they refused to serve us. If that's the case, make a note online or turn the "open" sign off.

I probably go here too much. There are only a few coffee places in town. I'd argue those include…read moreStarbucks in a grocery store, Brie'sta, Duch Bros, and Mudslingers. Our Starbucks is usually out of everything (they've told me "sorry, local supply" in response). Brie'sta is loved by many, but I haven't had that experience there yet, and I'm not sure I'm emotionally prepared to share my life story with the Broestas at Dutch. Taking all that into account, you'd be excused if you settled for Mudslingers. Fortunately, you don't have to settle. It's amazing. The menu is dynamic (the Dirty Turtle is my fav), the sandwiches are awesome, and they are all about local! Recently they just had a special purple drink recognizing the Month of the Military Child. The workers are the best. It's a very natural kindness vibe, I'm always happy to have a conversation! Do yourself a favor, just go here! The only criticism I have of this place is that seating is outdoor only (pretty much all of the places in MH, and those that do exist are uncomfortable), but this is really only an issue in the winter. Ps, I realized I forgot to mention FUBAR as an option, but I haven't visited the in town location yet...to be continued!

Exciting things are happening in Mountain Home!…read more In 2016, Chef Christian Phernetton, formerly of Camel's Crossing and State & Lemp in Boise, started The Chef's Farm, "an 11-acre biodynamic and electromagnetic culture research farm in Hammett, Idaho." In October 2023, Chef Phernetton opened FARMERS STASHE, a Farm-to-Table business located at 354 N. 2nd E. St in downtown Mountain Home. FARMERS STASHE features the bounty of The Chefs Farm via products such as soups, pizzas, waffles, kombucha, hummus, ramen, salads, baked goods, fermented foods, etc. The photos show what was available the day I visited. My plan was to stop and grab a quick bowl of soup for lunch. I was so in awe of what I found, that I ended up buying much of what was available. Here is what I tried: Chicken Noodle Soup - I enjoyed the soup. it had a nicely flavored broth and was chock-full of chicken, vegetables, and noodles. Mushroom Pizza - The pizza was unlike any pizza I've ever had before. It featured two different types of mushrooms, one of which was fermented. I was told the dough takes at least 72 hours to make. It was accompanied by two different types of peppers and oregano, all of which are grown on the farm. Plum Crazy Kombucha - This is one of the three best kombucha I've ever had. I regret not buying more. It was made with plums grown on the farm. Carrot Cake + Chocolate Beet Cupcakes - What is a girl to do when she can't decide between the Carrot Cake and Chocolate Beet cupcake? Get both! Of the two, I preferred the Carrot Cake. Both appeared to be made with a whole grain flour, which results in a coarser texture. I prefer baked goods made with All-Purpose Flour or Cake Flour. Rustic Pita + Roasted Garlic Hummus - The pita was fresh baked, and excellent! The hummus was nice and creamy, but had a slightly bitter flavor, which can happen if you don't remove the garlic germ. In January 2024, Chef Phernetton has /epk/ Farm-to-Table monthly dinners scheduled "3 days before and 3 days after the full-moon." Currently, the dinners are at FARMERS STASHE, but when the weather gets warmer, the plan is to have them at the farm. In March 2024, Chef Phernetton launched Agrarian Culinary Institute (AGI), "the first (and only) Farm-to-Table culinary school in Idaho. Chef Phernetton's visionary business model exemplifies why I love small towns. The next time you're on I 84, instead of passing by Mountain Home, be sure to get off the exit to check out FARMERS STASHE. You'll be glad you did!
